Well if you have a good ground game then you shouldn't need j.C as much. I tend to over think too. I mean you want to move forward w/o getting hit but at the same time do stuff to keep them scared and that's probably my biggest problem. Just gotta get better judgement I guess. That comes from experience. -

Been awhile since I was reminded of Brawl. But yeah fundamentals are like Ragna's best friend. I think I just recently remembered that and I started doing better. I mean j.C is amazing, but you have to know how to use other moves too. Solid ground game is important. This is one of those moments where you have to take what he said with a pinch of salt (or is the saying a grain of salt? I'm too tired right now.), cause LK wouldn't just call you out like that for no reason. -
Start with 50 heat and end with 50 heat. Nothing hard either, just gotta wait a bit after the RC. 5b>5c>2d>RC>Delayed 6c>dc>6d>JC BE>6b>5c>5d(1)>DS>5c>5d(2)>DID(1)>236c>236c>CU 3c>HF>Tsuika = 4745 damage Also waiting a bit after 6b and then 5c during a 5B>5C>HF>Tsuika>RC combo apparently allows you to get back 50 heat also. If you didn't wait then you get back 47 heat. Gotta go green with your heat! Recycle all of it, not some of it! (You'll need that 3 heat and thank me one day.) Probably not gonna get used as much cause it does slightly less damage for only 2 more heat and is easier to mess up. It's there though so I felt like posting it. 5b>5c>HF>Tsuika>RC>6C(2)>dc>6d>JC BE>6b>DS>2c>5d(2)>DID(1)>236c>236c>CU 3c>HF>Tsuika = 3920 damage and 52 heat You have to wait till the opponent is about to hit the ground and hit them with 6C. Not really worth it like I said before.

It probably looks higher speed to you cause everything on netplay feels like you're underwater.

I think they just post the match regardless of whether Litchi won or not. There's usually something you can always take from the matches.

I mean I can whiff punish 5C, but I guess since I try to look out for other things I end up missing opportunities. I just don't like chasing Mu down cause I always end up running into stuff. I know you have to chase her, but I don't just go "Oh I'm not in blockstun? Time to start moving." I would j.C more if Mu's 2C didn't exist. I'll stay on the ground thank you very much lol. -

I only had one Sakamoto moment where I was at low health and "was like fuck blocking on wakeup I see you doing steins in the air." Air grabbed and knocked him down, and then proceed to fuck up BK on his wakeup cause I was like "He has heat to RC the DP. Hmmmm let's make the DP whiff then!" Somehow D ID came out. Not even Dead Spike. D I fucking D. I don't even. Either way he didn't DP and I still died after wasting 50 to only break one primer in an unsafe way. I was so ready to comeback Well I did it after a grab cause they did it on my wakeup.....I had to go and we were just lulzing it up. I guess cause I only hit with the second hit of ID I kept moving forward where as if I did a wakeup ID the first hit would kept me in place for a second then I would move forward. I think that's hitstop related stuff, but I'm not sure. -

GGs Xntrikcat. Fighting Mu is like the biggest pain for me, both when it comes to damage and just figuring out what's going on. Neutral I guess I'm reluctant to dash cause of 5C then when I don't you get to setup steins. I should just become netplay Ragna and fullscreen Hell's Fang instead thinking about what to do midscreen. lol at ID going through Bang's Steel Rain. Didn't even need to RC it. Thought it would catch my back or something, but Ragna just gives no fucks. -

I actually fucked up a DP. Of course the one time I did it had to be FC lol. Should start being smart and using D-Pad for DPs to the left. I used to do it a lot for other fighters, but I think since I can at least DP mid combo with the analog stick I just stopped using pad for that. Clearly I need to go back to that though. -

Go to Nineball's room and have your soul taken from him multiple times. He touches me once and it's GGs. GGs to Nineball and Xntrickat. I'm pressing all the wrong buttons at the wrong time. -
Well you can also check the attribute of any move and see where it hits if that's what you were testing. 2D has foot attribute and of course 2B does too.
-
Foot invulnerability starts at frame 10. Kinda wondering how someone is hitting you with 2D if it wouldn't hit from frames 10-25. Are you running at them and trying to 6D? I mean it's not illegal, but it's just that 6D is slow to start.
-
I guess cause it was the only attack in mind that you can see and get ready to react to drive followups I ended up using it. But pointing that out I guess that's why I don't see it as often, if at all......I almost feel like that Cat Spirit stuff is kinda pointless now. I guess I could just rename that section "Dealing with Drives" and just remove the 236A at the beginning of each string. What I listed should still work even if she uses other attacks right? I was eventually going to have to get someone from the Tao forums/find a thread so maybe it would be easier to have an idea of where she will go, if that's even possible. This is WAY harder than I thought it would be.
-
Thanks for that Toan. Like I said I'm gonna have to learn some stuff about Tao in order to do this so any help is appreciated. This will be a nice project to keep me busy.
-
P4U is probably not gonna be as great as people think. Yosuke looks like a easy to pick up character, and I'm not interested in anyone else so I guess I'm not too excited about it.

THIS WILL BE ORGANIZED LATER A lot of fighting Tao for me seems to be just getting her off you and getting momentum from there. The rest is just keeping her pinned down. I don't really go in throwing a lot of hitboxes out cause if you whiff stuff it only makes it that much easier for her to hit you. If you have to use any move though j.D is pretty nice cause it covers your face. Just don't go nuts with it cause a decent Tao isn't gonna run into that. It's more of a tool you use to make sure they aren't always pouncing on you. Same goes for 6A. It's AA, but do you really wanna keep whiffing it? I'm not saying don't use it, but it seems fairly easy for her to bait this out. Try to jump up and catch her mid pressure with an air throw or j.A if you think she is gonna do some crossover shenanigans. Get her knocked down and keep her down like I mentioned before. She dies pretty quickly thankfully, but she will probably try to wakeup Hexa Edge if she ever gets the chance. I wouldn't say go out of your way to bait it, especially since it's hard to keep her pinned down and giving up pressure to bait things sucks, but baiting it more or less means you win unless she decides to wakeup gold burst. Abuse her whenever possible. Backdash seems pretty damn good, so 5B on her wakeup wouldn't be a bad idea. On her wakeup you should actually use j.B as her 2A would normally go under other jump ins. Throws aren't a bad idea, but if she breaks it expect some backdashing or immediate aerial movement of some kind. Don't have a definite answer for when she goes to the air(I'll see if I can somehow learn a small bit of Tao and how air stuff works), but chase after if you think she will backdash. I almost wanna say wait and have a 6A ready if you think she will go to the air after a throw. Again, I don't know much Tao and haven't fought her enough, but I can't think of any attacks that would stop us from pressing buttons. She is mostly just running away trying to get in on her terms. I'll have to find Tao vs Ragna vids and do research. This will get better.

Throw your question(s) in the matchup thread. I can't guarantee I can help, but I'll try. -
Still turned into a great combo nonetheless.

Bang's 5C starts up in 18 but as an overhead it hits on like 22-24th frame. Something like that. -

I was kinda like "Yo damn Toan" but didn't think too much of it. -
I was doing 2 reps of the loop then after the second do 5B>5C>6C>stuff and got from one side to the other. FC 2c>5c>JC j.C>delayed j.D>5b>5c>JC j.C>delayed j.D>5b>5c>6c>Dash cancel>6b>5c>5d>DC>5c>6a>superjump j.D>JC j.D>Belial Edge>66 5D>Carnage= 5993 damage and 15 heat leftover. Ending with D ID gives 73 heat and 5048 damage Ending with HF gives 76 heat and 5039 damage Ending with 22C gives 66 heat and 5403 damage Not that it matters, but HF ender lets them air tech low to the ground.
