Would Izayoi make a decent sub? Not sure if this is the place to ask being a "main" thread and all, but its the best place I found. The reason I ask is because I like the Duodecim characters and I wanted some subs under kagura. I sub Jin but was wondering if Izayoi is worth using as a sub as well. I dont want to spend too much time learning/playing her (I main Kagura.) But I dont know what her learning curve is like. Or shoould I just stick with Jin and keep things simple?

The long reason why I picked Kagura. When I first started playing fighting games (SF4 specifically) I played Vega (which to my knowledge was one of the hardest characters to use). I loved charge characters, still do. But I couldnt play him for the life of me. So I switched my main to Yang which fit me like a glove (considering my skill level at the time). Then I discovered BlazBlue. I realized that picking the hardest character first wasnt gonna really get me anywhere so I said "Im gonna take baby steps and main Ragna." After about a year, I tried others (Makoto, Litchi, Hazama.) and then in Extend I settled with Jin. Sometime in the middle I Played GG and tried Venom and Sol (To test my skill with charge characters vs the traditional protagonist.) Im no good GG player by any means, but I had more fun with Venom and was better as him than Sol. Then P4A came out and playing Mitsuru was second nature to me. Now when BBCP comes out in america Im gonna main Kagura, because I know I can play the type of character I love. Something that I picked up on when playing Hazama, Litchi and Makoto is that I like stances, a lot. Seeing that Kagura has not only charging, but stances too? The choice is obvious for me. For people who want to pick a main, I suggest thinking of what you want in your ideal character, and experiment. You may find something you really like that you didnt think you would. If your dream character is too hard, my suggestion is switch to another character (someone more basic) and work your way up the skill ladder. Thats all I got. Hope it helps someone.

I know how it feels to be depressed about constant losing streaks (I believe I stated that in like 3 other threads). I still am getting bodied even today. Actually I find that lurking on this site and Keeping your mind on improving are 2 of the biggest things. I remember I was playing with a friend in CSE with Jin and got bodied, and then he said "I suggest playing one day as Jin, nothing else, go into lobbies, etc." And so I did. I actually started winning somewhat. *And then my Live ran out, but I digress.* Im not gonna be playing until CP but I am messing around in the lab and learning every day about Jin. Then in CP im gonna start Kagura stuff. Im well aware Im behind a lot of people, but I see the rate of improvement within myself, and if I keep the mindset of "always improving", then you'll see the results you want. In time (a long time). But for now, like I said, I just lurk on here and transfer what I learned into training mode, so I can get it mashed in my head. (And because Im too scared to post here lol.)

I dont know if this is wierd to ask but... Could someone tell me the general uses for Kagura's drives please? (like what its safe against, whhat's better against certain characters/tactics/etc.) I dont have the game, but I would like to know these things and general information about him very well before the english release. Also im not good at holding a lot of info in my head, so knowing it before I get the game is good cause I'll have it memorized by then and save me a lot of trouble.

I know, right? Especially the last thing you said. But Im confident I can main Kagura because for as sucky as I am in fighting games, I can actually learn charge characters rather easily. But that being said, I think Kagura's gonna be my permanent main and Jin's the eternal sub. (Remember: You gotta stick with one before you can get any good at the game.)

I mained Hazama because of his swag (no joke). But when CP was revealed I started trying to learn Jin because the new Jin looks really nice. But then Kagura showed up and was like "I'm everything you ever wanted in a fighting game. In your FAVORITE fighting game." Everything from this guy, from his Attacks to his friggin name of all things just speaks "Main me bro." But alas I have no PS3 so Imma wait til Christmas and use Jin until then.

I know how you feel. My brain is like jelly so nothing really sinks in. And when it does, I make a bad habit out of it. But Im finally learning how to do stuff (After 2 years of failing lol.)

Haha, sorry bout that. I guess I'll be on tipic and ask my question then. I was experimenting with ways to use Ice Swords to extend combos (like j.D>236B/C>Ice Arrow on landing.) Well I was having a hard time with that (I guess its a positioning thing), but it seems really cool. I was wondering if it has any practicality, or should I just give up on it?

I guess I'll just sit in silience until the english version drops (because I cant be bothered to import -_-)

Its also better for me to get a PS3 cause no one's on XBL netplay anymore. (for the exact same reason you just stated)

Slightly off topic but my 360's power supply is busted. I guess I'll pick up my training when I get a new one (or invest in a PS3 lol)

Its moreso the latter. I don't really know what to do in an advantageous situation. I was playing a few matches with my friend the other day, and he told me that I need to work on pressure and mixups. And quite frankly I agree with him. (My 6A overhead attempts are predictable as hell.) Also a small secondary issue: I don't know the timing for 623C>5B. I always drop my combos after that point.

I wish I could put my question in the video critique thread, but I don't have recording equipment. But...It seems like i'm focusing on the right strategies at the wrong time. Like when I try to space out the opponent with TK Ice swords, they usually whiff because I'm throwing them out at the wrong angle/height or something. Also, my pressure is really weak, so could I ask for some decent pressure advice (or at least be directed to said advice?) I hope my problem was made clear enough. I wish I had a capture card or something so I could just post the replays of my matches. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks you guys. I see that I need to launch with Zaneiga early enough where they will be launched high, then do a quick 66C. Now I can get consistent crossunders. :]

I got a new question. How do you cross-under a 6C after Zaneiga? The opponent always techs before the 6C can land on them. So either i'm dashing under them too late, or my input is too slow.

I apologize for having that mindset. Its the side-effect of the way I've played fighting games. But that mindset will go away. I'm gonna actually 'think' when using these moves for pressure. But I'm not gonna go to Haku/Mu. I'm a Hazama main. The first moves I wanna learn more about is his drives. What are the best situations for each drive, its general purpose, advanced purpose, and other intracacies for the drive itself?

I'm rather new here even though I had this account for a while, but this isnt an introduction thread, so im gonna get to the point. I have a serious problem with pressure and hit-confirming with Hazama. I keep messing around with Hazama's tools in training mode, learned combos and basic pressure, but none of that matters if I cant land a hit on my opponent. Long story short: What are good moves to just throw out, what are some good blockstrings/crossups/mixups, what are other pages I should be looking at to learn the character? I strive to be a great Hazama, but I need the help.

A little late here, but this guide here is exactly what i've been looking for. Ya did a good job on this guide, and its perfect considering my current skill level at BB/Hazama in general.

j.236C is my best bet for jump ins, however, you want to be careful he doesn't slash the nail. j.D is another reliable tool IMO.

All supers have its uses. However most people use FRKZ and Ashura over the other 2. And that makes sense, seeing as Ashura is just all around great, and FRKZ has superfreeze, and amazing potential. I love Daifunka's invincibility the most though.
