  1. This reminds me -- for anyone that was watching the Beru matches from the 26v26 team matches at GameChariot a few months ago, do you know why he kept doing "meaty j.K" on okizeme? I thought he screwed up his air tatami input at first, but there were too many times where he couldn't have been trying for a tatami.
  2. Shinjin: Zakuta said he got that info from the latest Arcadia magazine. Are you talking about low YZS FRC ad.j.HS against an opponent in the corner (so that the airdash doesn't take you past the opponent)? or are you already implying that YZS is low enough that the airdash will "push" you into the opponent? In either case, I can see what you're saying, but I think you may get better results by doing YZS FRC cross-up on wake-up. You might be able to airdash early to cross back over, or airdash a tiny bit late to airdash into the opponent, and you might then do either j.HS or j.S to lock them down (the way Sol will do falling j.HS or j.S on okizeme). Additionally, once you condition your opponent to expect a YZS FRC on okizeme (which may not take much conditioning, depending on how popular the tactic becomes), you could use it as a slightly expensive wake-up uppercut bait. It may not balance out, depending on how poor her ground punishment options are, though >_>) BTW, I don't see the comparison between YZS RC stuff and new YZS FRC ideas. When I attempt a TK YZS mix-up, I can usually hit-confirm on the YZS itself (if it hits, you have more than enough time to negative-edge your RC into falling tatami), so I don't see why you would try to sell YZS FRC as a better alternative to YZS RC just because one uses less tension than the other. Their uses are different. This isn't to say you're incorrect in assessing the damage possibilities from YZS FRC mix-ups; rather, the way you're trying to compare is like trying to compare "apples to oranges", so to speak.
  3. check the the second post in the /\C Baiken Media sticky and also the "GhakoJoybox_firstday" folder at: http://www.strokethebigtree.com/rtl_s_movies/

  7. i see gimmicks a la air BR FRC.
  8. after seeing the first BA vs AX match from Popeye, I wonder if doing a dust combo after a corner throw is possible. Even with proration from the throw, it still may do enough damage to justify taking the damage over the knockdown.

  16. where are you getting this "total frame" number? the frame advantage is determined by finding the difference between the amount of blockstun and the recovery frame length, as you calculated, but the recovery time is denoted in its own column in the frame data tables.
  17. okay for all those people whom i replied to that i would be able to upload vids -- i am currently without a consistent internet connection on my laptop, and have to resort to nabbing the computer periodically from my uncle for the next week or so. Unless you can wait, you may want to ask someone else for assistance. Sorry for the inconvenience oh and while i'm at it, can someone post a mirror for the most recent Maturundesu vids? I was partway downloading them when the folder closed
  18. Can someone get in touch with Zazz (over at HerV, perhaps?) and ask him to re-post the Isuka sprites somewhere? They were all posted at Holy Zen!, which has since gone down and been deleted.
  19. just fyi, i think you're right, that's "Ayane".
  20. Let me start the thread off with something c/o MasterChibi: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FPcCfMkVUeA AC Sol and Eddie combo vid, "Private Place", by Saiyajin (players are Saiyajin and Ion); originally hosted over at Aria's/Mi~ha~ru's website.
  21. I've seen a lot of videos uploaded to YouTube over the past while, and there seems to be some interest here in having a reference for looking up GG vids on YouTube, rather than doing a search on YouTube itself, so that's what this thread is for. In this first iteration of a video link index/directory, please post links to any videos related to Guilty Gear (match, combo or miscellaneous) and include relevant info if possible. Combo Video example: Movie title (or filename if title is unknown) Author (or original host if author is unknown) Character(s) featured Game version (e.g #R, Slash, AC, etc.) Soundtrack info -- "Song name", Recording Artist (Album, if known) Match Video example: Characters featured Player names (if known) Game version Original host (e.g. GameChariot, A-cho, etc.) As we build up a solid number of links, I'll re-organize the thread as appropriate and eventually come up with a consistent format that will make it easy to look up videos according to, say, character, or game version, or possibly author/original host, etc.
  22. it's alright, but maybe try reading up on her the next time you have a question. granted, i guess some info is a bit hard to find in the AC thread... anyways, it's her new HS guard cancel, "Ouran". It evades and can also hit. She can also now perform a guard cancel while doing the autoguard dash, "Suzuran," just fyi.
  23. it's probably throw invincibility on the DAA.
