  1. I'm sure home version will fix that. If not, I feel sorry for ppl who want to seriously main her because that's a crazy big hurtbox for a character that does not do stupid amounts of damage.

  3. Should work since Makoto would be facing the proper direction for the tail to hit like normal.
  4. Glad I'm not the only one who looks at the tsubaki matchup and goes "wtf do I do??" Because she was definitely getting into goro's head multiple times.
  5. Seems like a big update IMO. It's not like 1.1 where characters got very small changes. I Expect to see changes in the tier rankings with what's going on with the tools and resources of the entire cast. Ie: from a Makoto main's perspective Litchi,koko,Rachel, hazama vs. Makoto doesn't seem as bad any more. I'm sure it's similar for others too. Note: I'm not saying she or anyone else will magically have easy wins vs. the top. It's just that the matchup on paper seems a lot more manageable this time around.
  6. Ah. Thanks for posting some meaningful info on resource characters. Seems like they want you guys to manage your resource better and not spam like crazy. I don't think you guys will fall too much since most of those characters still have a decent advantage when they do have resource. However, I do agree that things between resource and rush down characters will be much closer now.
  7. What's messed up about the balance in 2.0? I honestly have not been keeping up with everyone but I know the ppl at the top ie: litchi,valk,Rachel,koko are not wtf good anymore. Granted this is coming from a Makoto main. Lol
  8. Still up in the air atm. She lost corner oki but her mixup is much stronger this time and Parry might be something ppl have to actually respect now.

  10. Her neutral seems like it still requires smarter then average game play but it's definitely much better with parry and 214b. Speaking of 214b, it's looking like a beast in mid screen and is godly for her corner mixup. Wonder if goro is loving the new style and tools as much as I am. Lol
  11. The parry option select sounds really nice for mix up and seems like it could be a legit thing to reset with. Did it seem like J.2c>air dash could be used as a cross up at all? Also, thanks for posting what you found.
  12. Not atm, HaigoX said the following on the general Makoto thread. - Don't start combo threads until there's at least a week worth of videos. It's not like optimal combos will be found out right away. Keep the list though. I'm sure a few combos from it will stick around
  13. Orb looks like it's dead but like I said in the other thread she can use it for mid screen combos and parry could have some real potential. Makoto is looking much stronger ATM.. But this is all based on paper and Goro footage with a lot of changes to everyone. I won't lie.. I'm kind of hyped but will stay with a "we shall see" mindset. Especially with how things have been in the past. Lol
  14. Yeah orb oki is dead based on the goro footage and you're right about cosmic ray. But on the plus side we can now use orb for mid screen combos and cosmic for corner. Also those parry resets look like something others will have to respect. I just hope it works vs real dps like ragna's
  15. Wonder how the parry would work vs characters with a real dp since it does have guard point too. Also on the plus side her mix up does seem stronger. I guess we will have to see what high tier players are doing once they fully understand her new combos/utility.
  16. Looks like cosmic ray non-od now has wall bounce on air opponents in the corner; Saw a few 2c> cosmic ray. Also, love seeing 2c no longer has smp as it opens a lot of combo potential and is a great combo filler. New combos look fun to test. #whenisbbcp2.0pconsolerealease
  17. Looks like we have some real gameplay footage now. Based on what I saw it looks like 213b had another trajectory change. It's lower to the ground and does not go as far but overall seems like a buff. 5d(2) definitely has some decent mixup potential. Lastly, Makoto 100% leveled up on the style points with her combos and it seems like there could be some interesting combos in the near future. Edit: forgot to mention, something is going on with comet cannon as 2d(2)>comet canon is actually a thing. I think it only hit once but goro was able to follow up with a real combo.
  18. I think every Makoto player is on the same page with that counter change. Lol. I just hope it means no more disrespect from characters with low profile moves. My number one wonder is in this change though... - 214B/C~D now can be followed up on normal hit. if done close enough to the ground you can follow it up meterless (using a RC makes it easier). Can we follow this up on opponents in the air like we can during OD??? Ie: 5b>2d2>214b/c~D.
  19. Was that OD damage or astral damage? The screen is cut so I can't see any of his meter. If that's OD damage then hakumen just get even more wtf to deal with. Lol
  20. Some of those nerfs seem really tough to get over. I hope they didn't just put the final nail in orb oki. Other then that I THINK our mixup seems stronger on paper. I hope it's true.
  21. Sad astral. Her attack DD seems like it should have been the astral and her actual astral the DD.
  22. Hakumen counters look super dangerous to mess with now. Lol Carl also seems like he will be a pain to deal with even more with the fake horse thing and Ada super armor grab.
  23. Just need to wait a few more days and the forum will blow up with info. As for Makoto 2.0 I think she actually has a chance to get out of B tier with all the nerfs everyone else is getting based on loke info we have and the new ODGC. ( I expect to see a decent amount of stolen wins with how easy it is to get great damage and carry with her OD)However, don't expect her to be S tier as some characters just have really good tools against her.
  24. My bad. Didn't realize ppl took character design so seriously. Lol. Anyway, has anything been shown about Celica's heal to make it something ppl would actually use in a match? Atm it looks like the cost/reward don't add up for her play style.
