  1. Ragna & Jin are more consistent though. It really just comes down to what you want out of the game; do you want your character to be good and excel in what they do or do you just want be able to play how you wanna play with their drive? That said, I think when we get both, we'll have a game worth loving, unless that's happened already. Only came into the series with CSEX. Well I was being my usual facetious self, but the point I was getting at is pretty much what Tong said in his last paragraph. CPEX is pretty balanced and gives all of the characters extremely needed buffs to the point where the characters that were trash before and now actually viable. This comes at the expense of removing options from the characters that made them "interesting" and comes off as "boring" to people.(i.e. not being able to use 6C>6D freeze resets in the corner with Jin anymore).
  2. You make a game that centers around the gimmicks of characters and then you nerf those gimmicks to hell and back. Clearly Mori knows what the hell he's doing. Its times like this that make me wish we were back in CSEX days, where everyone was balanced and interesting.

  4. 3C's been jump cancellable for the longest throughout all of CP :V As for your opinion, he's pretty much the same as always. They just made what we can do even better....so I guess that would qualify him as "braindead"
  5. Well since she's rushdown, they should focus on her offense I guess. Ways of opening people up, their ability to keep pressure on the opponent, etc etc.
  6. Nobody knows, its an anomaly. I ain't no expert on game balancing or nothing, but I don't think rushdown characters are supposed to have as many minus moves as Makoto does lol.

  8. "fun" for me depends entirely if the design allows me to play how I want to, if I can't do what I want to do then my enjoyment drops. I like having options.

  11. I keep saying we should just have Team Red design a game for a change, imagine the possibilities. I for one would love to see Pachi make a top tier Platinum. And well, Mori said it himself. they don't balance characters to be "good", they balance them to be "fun".

  18. I was going by Hakumen's CT story mode, which has him being salvaged by Kokonoe at some point before he goes to fight Ragna in the cauldron. I assumed this to take place maybe a few days/weeks before the main storyline and since its now revealed Azrael was sealed away shortly after Hakumen was salvaged. I just assumed Azrael was sealed a little while before CT took place. I always figured he was sealed shortly after the Ikaruga War.
  19. So wait, Azrael was sealed after she salvaged Hakumen? Wouldn't that mean the former was sealed a little before the start of CT?

  22. I notice you still got that funny note next to Tsubaki/Izayoi lol. We've known for a while both of her actress across the seas reprised their roles.
  23. We just kind of assume most of the hitboxes haven't changed from EX.
  24. They need to fix a lot of the terms used.
  25. OD Yukikaze combos aren't something that would occur too often in an offline match, but its good to know for when it does happen. Plus, you get maximum sweg points.
