  1. Trying to make a tier list when you don't have first-hand access to the game is asking for trouble.
  2. Yeah. That's my point. I play FGs to get away from that kind of stuff. It's one of the last genres to still be mostly difficult. Eh, I guess we'll agree to diagree then.
  3. Because steam-rolling everyone is boring as fuck. Part of the fun of fighting games is getting into close and intense matches where the winner isn't known until it's over. I normally don't play top-tiers because I like that. CT!Nu was boring to play. She owned practically everyone and was just boring to watch. I liked playing as Lambda better--yeah, she wasn't as broken, but fuck, at least I had to think when fighting.
  4. Yeah, but that required actually getting in in the first place. CT!NU could just mash D all-day and you pretty much had to sit there and IB the swords all die or get chipped to death. CT!Nu's playstyle pretty much was "Mash D All Day Every Day" and it was boring as hell.
  5. CT!NU was just stupid, and I'm saying this as a Nu player. Who wants to play such an annoyingly overpowered character?
  6. Oh. Well then. I think that person may have actually said "Donmt mash tech so much you eat a frame trap or reset"... In any case it's moot since CP features hold-to-tech.
  7. I thought mashing tech made it more likely to not tech at all? I remember being told that mashing tech is a bad idea if you're getting comboed.
  8. Oh this joke was funny for like 2 weeks and now it's just forced.
  9. The main problem I see with Jin is that Mori has committed a classic mistake with him: too much specialization. Jin is basically nothing without Ragna, Noel, or Tsubaki to motivate him. Take away his obsession with those three and he doesn't really have enough of an established character to really do anything with him. Some of the other characters suffer from this (like Litchi or Nu) but most aren't as bad in that respect. On the contrast, take someone like...Makoto for instance. Makoto is quite invested in her friends (Noel and Tsubaki), but she's still got other stuff like her involvement with Sector 7 and her beastman history so she isn't entirely motivation-less without Noel or Tsubaki. ...Did we already stopped talking about Jin?
  10. A rival's not really that. They're more a character who opposes the protagonist (usually in a more personal way) but isn't the antagonist. They're also quite often foils--I'm not sure if Hakumen and Ragna are really foils, though.
  11. It's going to do the latter, but it should do the former. Wrap this current storyline up and then introduce some new threat to the world. On the other hand, seeing what crazy plot twist Mori will pull out of his ass in order to keep dragging out this plotline could be interesting. God, Blazblue's story is simultaneously awesome and so bad it's good. I also agree with this. Blazblue is a Chuunibyou shounen anime in game form. After a while you just get used to this kind of plot-telling.
  12. Don't get me wrong, I like the story too. So it's like every chūnibyō anime ever then.
  13. Let's just say that the story of this series is a complete clusterfuck. Also, the emphasis on alternate universes and time loops allows Mori to pretty much retcon/fuck with everything and get away with it.
  14. oh, you're right. How the hell did I think Bullet was part of S7? Man that was derp moment. Well, my Amane comment still stands.
  15. Bullet's part of Sector 7, and Amane is a shotacon trying to screw Carl. ...Yeah, that's about it.
  16. What makes you say that? I hope that it's good competitively, it's so unlike nearly all the FGs out there.
  17. From the title I'm getting that it's a parody of Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!...
  18. I hope we get some actual stuff on this game soon. My hype is dwindling.
  19. I'm not so sure that blowing your OD at the beginning just for some more stars/charges is a smart idea. Well, I guess it could work in the "completely out of left field option that catches your opponent off guard" way.
  20. But yeah, does anyone know if its a lance or a sword? Im not really sure what to call it, that and the things on her waist that she uses to attack(the thruster/bladey looking things?). I wonder if theres a canon name for them but :V Lol, I ain't talking shit, I really wanna try her But anyway, the way the dash moves makes it look really slow. It's wierd nonetheless--I wonder what its purpose is for...
  21. Izayoi looks quite interesting, the triangle-upwards dash is somewhat odd, though. Especially in how unusually slow it is.
  22. Another FG card game? Oof, I already asked for Yomi for Christmas, but maybe I'll pick this up as well.
  23. Well, she is a religious zealot. Honestly, the whole point of her character is that she's religiously devoted to her job and teachings and will follow anybody who has authority over her to the very end. She'll do anything if the NOL demands it. Tsubaki was never really fighting for justice. She's following some twisted perversion of it fed to her by her upbringing and the people she works for.
  24. Crispin Freeman as Azrael? Sounds awesome but I haven't really been hearing him in recent stuff. And to round it off, Erin Fitzgerald for Bullet, maybe? Nope, not in there.
  25. If that happens I will NEVER be able to look at Akihiko the same again.
