Not quite, Atemi is a counter move, like Fei Long's counter super. Counter hit is usually just "counter".
-
Do the standard corner combo and end with 214B (Release D from Tomahawk Super). This will give them the fear status ailment, which causes all hits to fatal counter. Since you explode them with the super last, they can't air tech. Now, you are in a position to put them in a risky situation. You can run up throw (and get a fat FC combo) or run in AA or whatever to continue pressure. Your opponent, wanting to avoid this situation, will want to jump. This is when you will get 2C fatal counters. If you have at least 25% meter, you should just do the 214AB explosion ender instead. This gives Kuma the most dangerous corner oki. For 5AA, instead of doing the third A, do AA sweep (if the fish hits from far away, you're at advantage) or dash cancel backwards into 5C or 5D item throw.
-
This combo is transcribed incorrectly, it should read: 5AA 5B 236D 236236D 66 5B hj.C j.B j.A land 5B 5C 2B j.A j.A j.B Basically, if you're within dashing distance to the corner, you don't need to use the Teddie Warp to get close enough for 5B, you can just dash. If you know you're close to the corner but can't actually see the corner, do the Teddie Warp variation. Finally bear in mind that if you have meter, you always want to end with 2B hj.A 236A 236236D Tomahawk (hold) 214B or 214A+B (release D right as the 214B or 214A+B is hitting). If you time this correctly they will not be able to air tech which gives you guaranteed oki based on the status ailment you give them.
-
The trick is to hold D during 236236D and don't let the rocket explode until it's slightly past them. You want the rocket explosion to whiff, this allows you to follow up with 5B after the Teddie Warp without too much hitstun deterioration. If you see them caught on fire from the rocket during the warp, you let it explode too early.

Does anyone know what kind of have a picture of the cabinet used for the loke test? Since this is running on Sega hardware I figured they wouldn't be using a Vewlix. Not sure what they could use besides a Lindbergh cab though.

Hey guys. Want to apologize again for what happened on Sunday. In addition to the bad luck with hardware, there's a lot of stuff I'm having to take care of outside of the arcade so keeping the ship floating has been a bit stressful. The new part I need to fix Blaz should arrive on Friday, so I'll have it back up then. As for continuing/finishing out the Ranbat, would Sunday at open (3pm) work for everyone? I know SA Jin can't make it to the next Ranbat, so he wanted to finish it this weekend if everyone else was able to do that. Can also do Saturday afternoon if that works better for people, what's good?

Hey guys, again just wanted to apologize for lack of stream, not hate/bias towards the game but simply an oversight on my part that left us short on equipment. Will be up next time. Thanks to all who attended & please come play / tune in next time!

Sup guys, Pozer is telling me there is something wrong with the joystick on 2P side of Blaz. However, I have tested it thoroughly and I can't find anything wrong. The stick registers directions with 100% accuracy, and it isn't dirty/muddy. From what I can tell, it's no different from any other sticks. Can anyone tell me exactly what is wrong, or what feels different about it? If there is a preference (aka everyone likes the throw more loose) I can adjust easily. Also, you can always approach me at UFO if you feel there is something wrong. I take all feedback seriously!! Thanks :D Re: BB Rev. I am talking to Xie about it already. So don't worry, I will post when I have more info.

Brief update-- Latest word from Taito is that our BBCS2 kit will be ready to ship as soon they confirm our payment (which was sent today). It may arrive as early as next week!
-
Our Arcade version of BBCS2 is shipping at the end of this month, and will be installed at UFO in late May. I'll be dabbling with the console version a bit until then. Can't wait to play BB seriously again!
-
You aren't allowed to bring consoles/monitors/joysticks etc to UFO, but if you tell me the time and date we can run the MM on the PS3 Marvel cabinets. We'd also need access to your PSN account to unlock the character. Alternately, if you wait until May, you might be able to use Makoto in the arcade version. Maybe.

<comment about how TX would have owned if we were there, stay free, etc> Actually I'm sure Pozer already posted something salty so what am I even doing here? How's it going guys!!!
-
Fixed several days ago.
-
Hey Mike, Do you know what the current 'best'' arcade for BB is in Tokyo area? I want our players staying close to it next month Thanks!
-
Thanks for coming everyone, you guys were all pretty free. I was actually following DavidBro around Austin Friday, and poisoned his soup while he was in the restroom. My plan worked perfectly. Jokes aside, It was a real pleasure to have everyone in town and see such high-level BB play. The competition was fierce and we should rally behind our SBO reps to turn up the heat in Japan. Thank you all so much and I hope we can do it again next year!

Head-to-head Delta 32. A pair of the black cabinets as pictured here: http://nostalgeek.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/arcadeufo01.jpg There is 0 lag on these cabs, the response time is identical to the red Vewlix. No lag like the blue Vewlix.

Dude you couldn't even beat me in a 3-7 matchup! gutter trash obv lolol Oh and everyone posting in this thread is free. See you all next week! :-)
-
Because the qualifier and final are Waseda format rather than knockoff/Pokemon, a 1-man team is probably not allowed. However, I'll contact SBO staff to confirm for you. BTW, I don't have a partner yet!

There are several other quals in the US including for a couple of the Category B games. Stay tuned for the announcements.
-
Yep. Just says that 6 Throw, 236236B will work fine if you aren't used to the timing on dash 3C after 623D.
-
Jabaki should be used at mid-range on opponents trying to get in from the ground. For opponents trying to get in via air at that range (via IAD or similar), 5C or 2C are your best bets. I like 5C because it stays active for a while and you can confirm to 2C, 4D/D, j.CxN if they attempt to IAD. Paste the original Japanese text in the thread.

A lot of forums blacklist the well-known proxy domains to prevent spambots and/or banned people from posting. The more you know.

Not very long. You have time to combo a powered up version after 3C to get an extra 300 or so damage to the B&B. I'd guess about 1/8th of a second.
