  2. It does need to hit, and from the movelist I think the burst itself activates the instant kill.
  3. They can. The enemy has to be lower than 30% health at the beginning of the combo if I recall correctly for the IK to activate on the 200% veil off.

  6. Upon activation, it's a burst then while in veil off there is like melty blood unlimited meter and a little extra damage. The combo extension can be done from what I can see by using chain shift to cancel the recovery of a move and then they use veil off blowing the enemy straight up and they are able to continue from there.
  7. As a reversal burst it's not 100% reliable because the hitbox is not the best, its slow, if I recall correctly its punishable on block. Might as well only use a reversal super to the same job at the cost of only 100% Also, the comeback factor of veil off doesn't seem that big + when veil off is done you are stuck with no meter. I don't think it gives your life back, just the unlimited meter + extra damage. But more and more ppl are using it mid-combo (so far I saw Seth and Gordeau and maybe even Carmine using it mid-combo) to get access to the 200% super or just comboing into the IK. So I think it's a matter of time for people to integrate veil off into combos if its possible/useful for that character.
  8. Glad to see some nice Seth play. Seems like comboing into Veil off with Seth using chain shift+orb is a nice way for Seth to get his 200% super in as long as he has more than 100%. Waiting for some Hyde now.

  10. Actually there was Gordeau and Seth in the sets. And yeah Vatista destroyed most of the competition only to be stopped by Seth which in turn lost to Yuzuriha :V. Abelcru uploaded 47 minutes of gameplay on youtube, hats off to him. Characters that were used on stream on the top of my head: Gordeau, Vatista, Seth, Yuzu, Hyde, Linne, Orie (of which I saw her final super activated in veil off at 200% iirc) Did you guys see Hilda in the character selection screen? Because I didn't, I am guessing she'll get patched in later.

  15. gg guys had some good sets. Although I got irritated about how I played today both BB and P4A. I spammed so many DPs today, it's not even funny. I'll put some more time in BB so that I can have a proper match next time against kaeru and bibi.

Or if you're too worried about the timing after the CH grab midscreen, have meter: CH C+D > 214C > Ziodyne 2409/07 or awakening CH C+D > 214D (1 hit) > Cross Slash 2659/04 Or if you are reeeeeally lazy: CH C+D > Cross Slash 2690/04 (that range lol) (while writing down the damage found a weird/not worth it gimmick where you would do: CH C+D > 214D > OMC depending on the time where you OMC you will be either be on the left or right side of the opponent. Not practical at all but interesting) Edit:+ A random extra midscreen to finish off opponent: 1 burst + 50 SP ( impractical resource wise but noting it down since it's interesting that it works) CH C+D > 214D (1~2 hits depending on timing) > OMB > 214B > 66 5B > 5C > j.BB > j.B > JC > j.BB > j.B > j.B+C > Ziodyne 3830/07 The first three are worth noting since its interesting that it works but the extras are merely lab randomness.
  17. Wow Elizabeth's instant kill is not what I expected. With 100 meter you can you can spam all the "random ziodyne into OMC" you want on her for pressure. If she wants to troll you by activating her instant kill then you just spam rapid. It'll one more the ziodyne and when you are not doing anything rapid turns into quick evade, she misses her ik by the invincibility and gets countered by the rest of ziodyne + possible follow up in corner. Edit: Or just OMC into block since it's blockable or even instant block it . Why is her IK even blockable? As long as you don't do a random D swift strike midscreen or ziodyne without the meter to OMC (which should not really happen) then you're good. Another random fact that her 3 hits that are used to enable her IK is the number of hits you'll have to hit the barrier in the same round. So if you hit her barrier twice and she lives to use it again in the same round then the first hit will activate her IK.

Might as well add the basic bnb for mid screen air grabs OMC: (uses 50 SP) air grab > OMC > 2B > 5C > j.B > j.BB > (JC) > j.B > j.C > j.214A 3242 / 08 (+Ziodyne: 4153) or the more instinctive one replace the 5C for 5B for 3079 dmg / 08 (+ Ziodyne: 3990) Not a pro about the corner stuff. Here is an example, with pretty much the easiest dive kick link in his corner combos probably because it isn't optimized in terms of damage but it has good oki and not hard to do. corner: air grab > OMC > 2B > 5C > 2C > 214B > j.2A 3342 / 08 ( j.2A oki) If you want more damage by adding ziodyne then here is a variation: (100 SP) air grab > OMC > 2B > 5C > 2C > 214B > j.B > j.B+D > Ziodyne 4421 / 01 random tips: OMC must be done ASAP after the throw, the air grab itself gives you 6 SP, midscreen air grab bnb works also in corner, in the corner if you have no SP to OMC and you are high enough then use j.D right after grab for pressure.

  21. I see what you mean now. lol Persona 4 slow-mo arena. And, I only saw 3 characters online today: Yukiko, Kanji and Mitsuru. :P Though, I am loving lighting car's low profile/speed, it makes so many matchups easier. And thanks Mash for the trick for OMC, made it way easier to get the combo.

  23. Played the game for the first time today. It was godlike. Yu is pretty much how I imagined him to be and can't wait for a long session in training mode. Though day 1 persona is crazy. O_o loving the sweep, 5D oki :D
  24. The range isn't good on the move but if the opponent manages to block then you won't be in trouble.
  25. Well not sure with instant block but he mashed after getting hit by one and it wasnt possible. but it's probably not that much plus though. He is testing things out on the stream atm not really frame data.
