Is watching Makoto smack Bullet around for 40 minutes supposed to feel this good? It's like there's some vindication behind it or something. Keep posting those videos guys. The hype train needs to keep rolling. Is that 2 hour-long Makoto win-streak recorded or is it all but lost? -

Considering that's the angle you're going to see the most underboob from, the art looks normal to me. Could they have chosen a better angle for that arcade ending? Oh, no doubt. This is just fanservice but it's nothing to complain about (for me anyway). The new portrait art looks ridiculous. This art is just the same underboob at a different angle. -

The description made it sound like crap. If it was just lv. 3 drives, it was going to be the worst of the bunch. As it turns out, several of Makoto's moves gained new properties in overdrive (yay ground bounce on meteor dive and lightning arrow). I'm so hype for this game right now. -

I'm screaming right now at these new combos. My hype cannot be contained. And lol at the people for saying she might be boring. Bad? Possibly. Boring? No way. There's 2 new moves, new combos and an OD to be explored people. There's going to be work to do for a while. -
I dunno. Maybe it's the faster speed of the game but I don't think Makoto's as bad as I originally thought or as boring as people make her to be. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty bad but there's a small glimmer of hope that there might be some fun left after all. Also, that new Alexandrite remix is hella metal.

If they gave her Abare Tosanami and Victory Acorn, I would have no need to play any other character in BB ever again. Now if she could get a OHKO off of SA2 like her namesake can in 3S, I would never need to play another game ever again. The i-frames on that distortion are sweet too. Wake-up SUPER SQUIRREL HEADBUTT would be a thing. And about Makoto's changes in BBCP, against my better judgment, I'll give ArcSys the benefit of the doubt a little while longer. I wouldn't be as mad if all the Bullet footage didn't indicate that she's a better version of Makoto in damn-near every aspect.

So they've ran out of connections to make game-wise so they pair her up with... the main character? IIRC, they haven't even met canon-wise. How is that even a thing? ...although I always liked Ragna's coat and Makoto has a coat now so I get to see her throw off the Ragna-coat in an awesome fashion. I guess this means I continue subbing Ragna by virtue because of the Ragkoto colors. Oh and that Makoto info. Uhh, I'll wait until I see some gameplay since the changes on paper make me want to strangle some video-game developers.

Not gonna lie, buying something like that at that price seems crazy unless I run into a influx of cash, no matter how big of a fan I am. By the time I can get that kind of money after all my other purchases, it'll roll into the 300-400 dollar range. -

TVTropes has a long-winded analysis for this type of stuff. There's a significance to all the names for the character themes. As for the ENG vs. JP thing, the JP voice fits her better (BB being a Japanese game after all) but the English voice isn't too far off. I'd like to know what my character is saying but sometimes Cindy Robinson (look that name up on Wikipedia for lolz) gets on my nerves so I flip back and forth. Saying a move's name as you use it is better done by the JP voice actor. Both of VA's capture her hyperactive nature very well though. And just so we're somewhat back on topic, Goro's ability to hit-confirm is jaw-dropping. He capitalizes on 95% of his touches no matter how awkward they are. He'll get that damage and knockdown and pressure you some more. His movement and spacing is just unparalleled too. Plus, not getting hit for 80% of the curse duration was sick (especially against Souji's Arakune). I need to watch the archive again. EDIT: Dear Waifu: stop being $225 dollars USD so I can buy your figurine. Thanks. -

It's fan-made but Mori gave it the go-ahead and he's credited with the storyboard (unless Emma's translation is screwing with my head) so it's like "half-official" in my eyes. In any case, it's extremely hard to read and cringe-worthy at times. I mean, 4 pages into the first chapter and I was straight up done and laughing my ass off in disbelief. Makoto's a perv in the game occasionally but god-damn... Then again, she isn't exactly the most important character in the storyline so it's not surprising she's not included in the more "serious" mangas like Phase Shift and Chelimical Complex. While I can't say I approve of the waifu grabbing someone's breast or making out with a chick every other chapter, I can't say I'm surprised that Mori went that way since I'm convinced he's a perv. >.> Anyway, since it's a hilarious aspect of her from a source that's anywhere from 10% to 40% legitimate, I felt the need to mention it in the multiple adjective description of my main. -

Ooh, a fan club? 1. Y 2. Y 3. HY I heard ASW gave Makoto the moves they gave her (read: parry) in order to draw in the Street Fighter crowd. Needless to say for me, it worked. In fact, it worked too well. Moving from the one-touch killing machine that was 3S Makoto to the one-touch killing machine that was CS1/CS2 Makoto was the greatest thing any fighting game could give me. I felt right at home (that and SF4 Makoto is an abomination compared her previous incarnation and I hate the game). The first time I connected with a Lv.3 Impact, I instantly fell in love. There it was, a move with so much hitstun, the game froze for a second as if her punch stopped time itself... and I could loop it... over and over again. I love characters that hit like trucks and she was the hardest hitting female in the business. Then there's the personality. In a post-apocalyptic world, there is no other person that even comes close in the "funnest to be around" category than Makoto. She's so full of emotion at all times. She also does whatever she wants, when she wants (read Remix Heart rofl). Like what was mentioned above me, she's fighting people/things with Nox Nyctores, magic, swords, guns etc., using nothing but the things her mother/BB gods gave her (and tonfas that no one knows if they're normal or otherwise). She just doesn't give a damn. She's without a doubt my favorite FG character. CSEX made me very sad but she's still my main. Granted, my friends and I stopped playing it like 3 months after the release. At the very least, it gave me some more background on her and the pure sex that is Unlim. Makoto. IT'S LIKE I'M PLAYING THIRD STRIKE. ABARE TOSANAMIIIIIIIII!!! Also, dat Baby Makoto and dat poverty. Her family can't even afford to give her shoes. D: (d'awwwwww <3) -

Where are you reading this from? Or are you just making assumptions from the information we already have? I'm not gonna freak out just yet. All I hope for is something mid-tier or higher. I don't mind working for my wins but EX Makoto was taxing my patience for the game. At least everything around Makoto changed so the game will feel fresh. Plus, swag coat. -
I just watched the videos Hiago posted back in August. <3 Goro. Watching his Makoto take down locals brightens up my day so much. Character-specialists FTW.

Almost anything would be classier than what she has on now. I'm used to her outfit now but I'm still not sure what the thought-process behind her whole outfit was. I guess from a fighting perspective, if the opponent is focused on her "defining features", they'll be too distracted to notice the 100,000 PSI uppercut they're about to be hit by. From the player's perspective, learning how to play her during the first week or so in CS1 was extremely annoying for the same reasons. In any case, Makoto's outfit has been heavily discussed since she was first revealed as a DLC character. I'm just glad she has a coat to wear when it's cold out or when she goes out to a nice restaurant or something. >__> But hey, the "WTF are you wearing" award goes to Bullet now. Did those jeans get eaten by wolves or are they actually denim panties? And what's with that belt? And like the previous holder of that award, I'll be playing her too. I love women that hit hard for no reason. <3

Damn, Makoto got some extra swag in the new game. That coat looks so good on her. And that pose. <3 And that color... good god, that is definitely my main color (barring anything else godlike).

Oh hey, she has a coat now. No more full-outfit changes in a second. I'm curious to see what that coat looks like in her regular colors (I'm hoping it's black, if only as a throwback to her NOL coat). I heard that Amane's DD (apparently it's a 222D motion which probably means it's a command grab) turns her into a loli? I think the game looks faster in general. I'm not entirely sure that any of her movement options got faster. In any case, I'm hype. I want to see Lil' Makoto. :O

Not gonna lie, that line bugged the shit out of me. None of the voice actors in BB can agree on the proper way to say that name. Plus, the only thing that comes to mind when I see the word "Amaterasu" is "Dog" and when I heard that line, all I thought was "Well don't do that Hazama. You hate cats, not dogs" >.> -
I thought I was the only one who thought her theme was good exercise music. Hearing Alexandrite come on my MP3 player while going for a jog put an extra kick in my step lol. It wouldn't surprise me that she'd sound more serious when they re-recorded the sound, considering what happened/could have happened to her in CSEX, but I still don't hear it.

Mori said in the interview that they re-recorded pretty much everything so maybe that's what you're hearing. She sounded the same to me though. I still heard the same angry yell after 5D. He also said they remixed everyone's themes apparently. Alexandrite was already godlike as is so I don't know how to feel about this. Hopefully the new theme (if she gets one) captures the same feeling of playing a bouncy squirrel girl like the old one did. Oh and like everyone else, I hope she gets some decent buffs. Lightning Arrow needs to be usable again and getting a successful parry shouldn't feel like I won the lottery. =/
