I'm very interested

Thanks everyone for making it on Saturday and for participating in all the games. I'm really glad that the numbers seem to be going up, and that new attendees are enjoying the event and games so much. I'll probably enter some games again next time. It's just so easy to get burnt out after setting up and running brackets that I wanted to take it easy this month. Sorry about not having the tournaments uploaded yet. They'll be on YouTube sometime later today. I'll post the links when I get the time. Also, sorry about not having the large room like I said we would. All things considered, this was probably the best set up we've had regardless, so big thanks to Justin, Kevin, HF, Don, and everyone else who helped move tables and chairs to make the space more suitable for what we needed. I already have some ideas on how to arrange things better for next time. I can't believe we actually had enough space to move around comfortably! Thanks again to everyone who made it out. I'll try to have the date for next month set sometime this week.

Between Persona being in the main line-up and GG getting an update, it's pretty obvious what I should be focusing on. Reminder that tomorrow is this month's AZ Air Assault at UAT. PLEASE BRING SETUPS all the info can be found here https://www.facebook.com/events/1374943512811113/?ref_notif_type=plan_mall_activity&source=1 Persona starts at 2:30 Uniel starts at 4:30 Xrd starts at 6:30 Please be there early for signups. The brackets will be set up and closed 15 minutes before each tournament starts. I don't want to be there until 11pm. I get hungry, sue me.

There's several videos showing off the buffs for each character in P4U2 2.0. Not sure this is a buff but it's hilarious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPRDUA21Img#t=219 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQjGykCskMY&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPRDUA21Img https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjVCdJaSHAU&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bsOB5noBYc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIy7SocmMaA

[P4AU] Margaret Player Critique and Self Improvement thread
LegendaryRath replied to MikelAL93's topic in Margaret
I watched part 1 and here's what I noticed. ~ you're being really respectful in neutral. I don't know if it's just that you feel yukari wins neutral or if you just don't feel confident in neutral yet, but you're letting her run all over you more than necessary. 5A is a really strong tool against Yukari because breaks her persona safely, destroys arrows in most situations, destroys garu, and is just really big. When you're around 5A's max range, it's good to just throw it out sometimes as a poke or to break her persona. ~you autopilot your buttons in neutral into 2C most of the time, presumably fishing for counterhits. If you think you'll CH the opponent for some reason, that's good, but it's better in general to do something that lets you confirm into pressure. instead of 5B > 2C, try 5B > delay 5A. This way if they get hit you can confirm 5A > 5C, or on block you can confirm 5A > 5B or 5A > 2A gatling and actually get some pressure. Similarly, you can use 5A > 5B and confirm into 5C on hit, ~try to avoid using 2C so much in pressure. It always leaves a gap and is punishable by rolling and some mashing. resist the urge to autopilot into 2C hoping that you got the CH. ~don't use AOA ever. It's just too big of a risk and it too easy to react to. It's 40+ frames startup. ~you were using some weird buttons in panic situations, like 5A up close. remember that 2B is her fastest normal, and her best mashing normal. 2B > 2C leads to massive damage on CH, or you can 2B > 5B to confirm into pressure or a combo without needing to guess. sorry I can't say more. I'm limited on time at the moment. -
I was looking at P4U2 frame data, yeah. In vanilla... that definitely wasn't fun haha. EDIT: I really thought it was still +1 this version. I would double check the frame data in game. It's possible some of the stuff on the wiki is wrong because there wasn't an active chie mod until recently, and some of the mook data was wrong. Also, Ruben. There's an incredibly high chance that Aigis will always be quite strong. I'll talk to you about it sometime.

Looks like everything is set for this month's AZ Air Assault. Info is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1374943512811113/?ref_notif_type=plan_user_joined&source=1 5A being +1 wasn't important imo. I can't name a single strong chie who relies on 5A pressure. Hopefully she is more viable next version because other characters are getting toned down. Chie is way too fair this version.

ok ok ok you guys have twisted my arm enough only if (this is a very big "if") I can get a list of people who can guarantee they will show up, and it's at least 10 people (I'm sure someone will flake), I will run melty in February, after all the other tournaments are done. Expect it to be late, at least after 8pm.

A lot of people are going for GG but can only show up after work. It needs to be at least 6pm. And yeah, some people left after the tournament they went for ended. Some other people like Scott, Jon, and Lina stayed until the very end to hang out and play casuals. I'm not interested in grouping people into anime, Capcom, SRK, etc. It's about who shows up.

I know I'll be sticking with Saturdays, and I know it will be the 24th this month. The time of day each tournament runs is what I'm trying to figure out right now. If, for example, a large group of people that only want to play Uniel could only make it after 5pm, then there would be a problem running it at 2pm. I'm just trying to avoid stuff like that. Right now I'm thinking the order could be Persona, then Uniel, then Guilty Gear.

I'm in the middle of making the event page for the next AZ Air Assault and I need to know what times certain groups are available. Xrd will be running last starting this month, probably at 6:00pm. HF, Tempered, Dippy, what time are you guys able to show up (if you can)? I want to make sure you can get there in time for uniel. Luke, Darell, (ted?), and anyone else who might be coming from Tucson, what about you guys? What time is reasonable for you guys to make it? I think you showed up at the beginning last time. The first tournament will be running at 2:00pm, with casuals starting at 1:00pm. Is there anyone else that is only able to make it at a certain time? Which game(s) do you play? I can't make everything work for everyone, but I want to know what will work for the most people and still be reasonable.
