Definitely down for it, after attempting to run an event on a weekly basis, you realize that as much as you want to make it happen, sometimes people just wanna play casuals. Gotta make sure the event is something to care for. We talked about it me and pedro, a monthly event sure would be great. We thought we could check with Foonzo if it'd be possible to have the venue open earlier on say a sunday for these events. It's basically asking them to open at noon instead of 3PM and keep the venue open for anyone during the evening as usuals once our stuff slows down. They'd still make money and it wouldn't be a pain in the ass for them I assume. That or we can work out something in the vague idea of a monthly event. Actually, if I recall, Pedro talked about how great it'd be to have one before NEC.

DAWHN UP It's hard for me to turn off my brain and just enjoy the ride when doing stuff

I wouldn't consider myself a fan, but I can enjoy my share of them. I think Ironman 1 probably has the best format or was probably the best for me as it's first one I think of when I hear "Good superhero movie" You delve in the character itself, the motivation, what he stands for, why he stood up the first place, context for his opposant, etc. etc. In the avengers, Loki arrives and says : "Lol war on the human race" Then nick fury says : "lolk avengers" Then the avengers don't trust him and say : "Lol corruption" Then Nick Fury replied "Yeah so?" Then the avengers agreed and there was the final action scene. Maybe it's because I'm not enough in the culture, but it just felt like the movie couldn't make up his mind about what it wanted to be. In the process of trying to be a bit a of everything, it ended up failing at accomplishing in a satisfying way any of what it attempted only being bits of that and bits of this. When they presented the backstory on nick fury, the avengers and loki, it took itself seriously over matters that seemed trivial to me. Take the scene where the hulk first transforms on the flying ship. They fight, big action scene, that's cool and all. Then they get pissy over Nick Fury because he had ulterior motives. Then it goes as I said up there and in the span of about 30 seconds that backstory is never heard of again. It presses the button of the backstory and context, but it didn't press it far enough to satisfy in any way. And then in any other scene, they just make witty pun-like conversations at odd timings and while these were funny, none of what the movie presented made sense as a cohesive whole. That's my main issue, lots of great ideas and great work being put into the film, but nothing works together to give the movie it's own vibe and feel. Action scenes we're pretty cool, can't exactly recall if something bothered me there. Maybe I'm not supposed to watch the movie that way, maybe it was just a two hours of mindless action-packed fun, but I can't help but focus on these kinds of detail. It's not a boring watch, but it ends up being average to me in the end and that's worse than being bad. I simply won't remember the avengers. Had it been good, I would have remembered, had it been bad, I would have remembered, but it's hard to remember a movie when it ends up being on the middle ground

Reminder, tentative tournament of P4 thursday if people are down for it. Else let's keep it to casuals. And now I'm gonna have to be the party pooper, but avenger felt like average. Not good, not bad, just unmemorable

In there I would be interested, but my time management sucks balls and I don't know how I could fit in playing TTT2 as well as everything else I already. I'd just feel like I'm not dedicating to any of them. Which is a shame, TTT2 looks pretty fun.

I cannot confirm ATM for my car to be used, but my parents have been cooperative to the idea of letting me borrow it for the event. To note, I'm planning on taking friday/monday off. A 6 hour drive back from Toronto after the event leaving at 5 was manageable, but an 8 (or so) hour drive on the day the event is over... fuck that, I'm driving on friday and monday to make sure I'm not sleepy on the road and make the max out of this event. EDIT since none voiced interest for a P4 ranbat tuesday, I'll make it thursday. Same shit as usual, around 8-9, free, I buy the winner something. If we're not enough or no interest in a ranbat is existant, then it's cancelled

Alright, we havn't had an event in 2 weeks (GG on XBLA is a flop for me so no GG tomorrow sadly.) and I'm too hungry for casuals every week. A friend of mine has been intending to show P4U to a few of his friends (around 2 to 3) next tuesday, I figured... hey, why don't they just come and play at foonzo, you'd get to see a bit of the interesting stuff and our community. So I'd run something tuesday else definitely thursday next week.

I don't have exams and GG is not available in Canada with no hints of a release date anywhere in broad sight. Where's your argument now Kirb?
