For Lilica you must do 236b 236c because after the heel kick, you can't really move, as Lilica lands she still is doing the move, thus she can do either 236a to do her command jump, or 236b for the slide. Thus you must do 236b to cancel your heel kick into the slide, then you have to cancel that slide into the heel kick, you can not go to the same move in Lilica's move chains. So.. In other words, you can't do the "dash special" after a heel kick because you haven't recovered yet.

  8. Yeah, as long as you are not too close to the corner you can actually combo it off the heel kick loop, truthfully I've done it a few times in matches due to me liking that super.
  9. 1: Yes, flash step is the act of canceling her 214a/b/c or 236a/b/c, you can also cancel it by doing 214a+c if you are in the middle of a combo(Like form 5b, kinda late on the 5b) 2: Don't bother even using the super, there is very little situations where it even comes handy, don't think there's any good follow ups for it either. 3: Just play with that character a lot, either VS or Arcade is fine, it eventually gets unlocked over time. 4: By not defeating the first form, you give Mildred 9 bars for the next fight, she'll spam that lasers super if you are on difficulty 8 :s... 5: Look around youtube, there's a few combo videos around, try searching using japanese characters, since I am at a friend's computer right now, I can't help you much with giving you links etc. since I don't have my bookmarks here.

I haven't touched this game in AGES and someone is telling me to go back to it, and I like these two, I just completly forgot this game, so.. halp plz~
  11. Yeah, they are, but it's all in the timing. You have to do 214a+c a bit late on the 5b. 2abc 6D 5ab 214a+c b 214a+c b dash 5ab etc... the hard part is getting the timing down on when to cancel the 5b into flash step, but once you start getting the hang of it.. flash step combos are no harder than heel kick combos(they are actually easier!)

And yes, Isumi is <3 <3 <3 Also, I didn't add the 236S 46S recombo into the list since some people -can- mash out of it, it's a tool, not a combo. Btw, I've pulled 4 reps from the 2HS orb combo on testament before, I REALLY needed the extra damage to kill him, and it worked! OMG it felt so great lol. EDIT: Also, in case anyone was wondering, the reason why I start listing the combo with 2HS is because that is how the combo truly starts. I don't mean that you have to go straight into 2HS, I am just not listing the ways to go into the combo starter as it could be many. (Far Slash, close Slash, 2k, from a jump in, etc.) I guess I could of listed it as far Slash 2HS, since most of the time far slash is used to go into 2HS. But, beh, I am sure I don't need to fix that.
  14. Use your meter for more mix ups! However, I sometimes spend alot of meter FDing or sometimes doing dead angel attacks when I fucked up and didn't go back to normal mode on time. Shit can happen from time to time. But, you are right, A.B.A can easily gain meter, must be because how fast her dash is and that she is pretty much always at the offensive with her frame traps.(Also, IIRC, all characters have different tension gain rates) You will need that meter to FRC her rekkas and go into corner combos though, so you will also be burning it a lot. Plus, 236D in moroha mode is sexy! Aw man, so much to do with all that meter... Can't forget reversal 623D, it can fuck up shit if you know when to do it!
  15. I'd suggest to always try to go back to normal mode when your moroha bar is down to 2/3. Reason behind this is because dead angle attacks will reduce your moroha bar now, it's been happening to me a lot that people dead angle my 2HS. So, I always try to go refresh my moroha bar when at 2/3 of the bar.
  16. Alright, might as well have a small vote going on in here. What do you guys think? Get rid of the Slash and Isuka guides? or should I just unsticky them and leave them around for reference? I am considering getting rid of all Slash threads for a fresh new start, with GGXXAC hitting the US and all, I don't want to get new players confused with old info, although some of A.B.A's old stuff still applies, it should still be fine as Moroha has compiled a rather nice guide, like I said, I'll let a small voting go here for a bit, then I'll take action accordingly.
  17. We don't need the Isuka guide, but the Slash guide is a good reference to keep around.
  18. Yeah, pretty much, for the dust combo I do different variations depending on the character I am playing, if I am low on life I go for double keystab. As for the throw combo in the corner, yeah that's a good option too, I mainly use the other one because I am just too used to the orb combos. Only bad thing is that I -think- it misses on light characters(the double keystab part), but I don't remember correctly at the moment(I'd check, but I just finished playing GGXXAC all night with a friend, too tired.)
  19. Great guide you have going there, to tell the truth I couldn't had done it better myself. Only thing I could see missing is that you haven't added a dust combo(unless you are saving that for the last part). I think I might of posted some in the combo thread, if not... then -On cornered opponent- Dust > ID(with dj.HS) > Land > 5S > 2S > 421HS > (run up a bit) > 5S > 2S > SJ > j.S > j.HS > 41236S is an easy one to get new people started(Might also have to explain impossible dust a little, we want to make these guides as user friendly as possible with new people. Also, another combo that would be good to list(I consider it a BnB for A.B.A) would be the throw into corner then going into her j.S j.HS j.D 41236S double keystab combo, pretty useful combo for double keystab when tick throwing a cornered opponent.

  21. just saw this post(haven't been online). Cool to see you getting started on the guide, i'll sticky it later after I give it a read.
  22. Maybe, it shouldn't be as hard to pull off though, just make sure you are doing the motion correctly and don't panic. Just keep practicing it, practice doing it even when not doing the combo, you'll notice the difference of a running jump and a normal jump.
