Well I'd be doing this: Component Split -> Component 1 straight into TV (where I will actually play) Component 2 into adapter into Capture Card (will have plenty of input lag, but who cares because I won't be playing on that screen) Right now my only concern is that whatever splitter I buy may introduce bad input lag. I know it really shouldn't make a diff but I have bad experience with buying shady adapters for things. (I bought a 360/PS3 controller adapter that's pretty much useless for FG because it has an input repetition problem) EDIT: Okay so I definitely want to up the audio quality, I just listened to some recordings and there's some bad deterioration when it gets complicated. I'm only using the free version of XSplit right now, so I dunno what the highest quality audio you can get is. p.s. I'm assuming I want powered splitters, and "passive" ones are a bad idea. Am I correct?

Does this problem exist for the Component AV on the PS3? Because I can record that as well.

I had success using Xsplit, despite it's rather abysmal interface. I now need a HDMI splitter though if I want to be able to play and stream at the same time. Does anyone have one they can recommend me? I've learned my lesson buying adapters I hope will just work properly x_x

Even after I disposed of this one, even after I moved into a new apartment. I still get spider bites on my shoulders. Although I haven't gotten them since I killed the last spider... so maybe it's finally over (haha). I swear my shoulders must just smell tasty to spiders or something.

I wake up every other day with a spider bite on one of my shoulders. Kill them all.

To me "usefulness" is measured by the move alone, not because you can combo into it. Such as Valkenhayn's AH, it's useful because it's a really fast reversal by itself. For instance you use 6C all the time in combos on Tager, doesn't mean you'd just throw out 6C by itself all the time because of how useful it is. Azrael, or Patriot Apocalypse?

I suggested this before but, I really think Blood Scythe would be an awesome move to have a Feint option on. Where he does the animation but instead just drops right in front of you. Maybe pushing C during the animation, similar to Nu's Crescent Saber. "I'm going hit you HIGHHH- nevermind 2B"

That doesn't make Black Onslaught "useful" in any capacity though. He could have just Blood Kain comboed your ass to death just as easily. Haku-men's AH isn't a super easy win or anything, but it does do something that is useful. Namely, countering throws and unblockables. (Tsubaki 22D THERE YOU GO) How many times have you lost because Ragna threw out a random Black Onslaught and it actually connected. Probably the most "useful" AH I've seen is Valkenhayn's, cuz it's a really fast reversal.

I'd still say an instant death, 1F (I'm just assuming it's 1F don't kill me) reversal counter Astral is significantly more useful than something like Black Onslaught. You can catch people's pressure strings with Haku-men's AH, you can counter DPs and end the game with it instantly. It's a thing you can actually use that just ends the game. Most times I could do an Astral my combo that leads into it just gets bursted, including Bloody Fangs -> 5c. My point is that at least Haku-men's AH is a "legitimately unique move that does something good." It's a super Yukikaze that counters throws and unblockables. Most other peoples AH are just "DDs that end the game." Sure you can do a reversal with them and win, but you could just as easily done that with your DD in most cases too. I'd say most of the AH wins I've gotten with Hakumen, I got them by countering a throw. It's just something people don't expect. (pssst, Haku-mens AH counters throws. People use Throws a lot to get past D mashing)

not necessarily. you can't AH until you've met the conditions AFTER the opponent recovers. This is why you can't combo into them from above 35% hp. There are *SOME* AH situations that are indeed beneficial. For instance Hazama can kill you off of Bloody Fangs with his.

On the exact same moment of the exact same combo, you could enter Carnage Scissors and end the game, or Black Onslaught and end the game. Thus the AH's existence is pointless. There was no "benefit" to being able to do the AH over the DD.

Far easier to input on reaction than Yukikaze, and it counters everything except projectiles. I'm not saying it's amazing but at least it's actually "a legitimate thing that is dangerous" unlike most Astrals.

Haku-men's is pretty damn easy. It's probably one of the best Astrals in the game honestly in terms of usefulness. Just hold down-back. Moment they try to go for a high/slow hit the game is over lol.

So I've finally got my debunked capture card working again, and I'd like to start streaming BB/P4 stuff at some point. I'd just like some experienced input from our streamers on the best ways to go about doing this. I'm using an AverMedia card that captures HDMI directly, or just about anything else through an adapter. (I just capture HDMI directly for the 360/PS3) So what I'd like to ask is: 1. What site do you like to use best? I've seen Twitch.tv used a lot. 2. What settings do you find most optimal for streaming? (quality vs. bandwidth) 3. What kind of upload speeds do you recommend as a minimum for acceptable-quality streaming? (This is the most relevant thread I could think of because I hope to offer streaming services for stuff like online ranbats and such in the future, if I'm available)
