  1. Rtl : math is not practicing, math does not need practice, because math is like chuck norris, when he does a pile bunker, that's not him going forward, that's the ennemy coming to eat the pile bunker.
  2. Hello guys ! The gnouz ranking are finished... The people didn't have enough time to continue them, but we are not dead yet, here are videos of a big session in Lyon featuring some of the best french players. A little thing : the tournament had teams created by lottery, and many people played a bit in a funny way, others seriously. They were also big battle royal for the different playrs of different cities ! As cuongster was the only one of strasbourg, he played alone ! And fear Math the nem, the all mighty pile bunker dealer, playing with a football stick ! You cannot imagine the ambiance during the final, we were all like this : Almost all videos were recorded and uploaded by AZ, he also helped me putting a new PCB in my stick from 2am to 5am... That was an incredible weekend.
  3. Except Axl, I don't see what characters you are talking about concerning Storm Vipering everything that looks like a poke... Venom it's impossible, Bridget the same... Faust maybe...? Solution against poke : dash break, double jump, 1Frame jump > Air Dash, IAD with gard, Savage fang lvl 2, far S, Fafnir... And maybe a storm viper yeah... One per month ! That applies too to the order sol player doing blindly storm viper...
  4. Hey guys stop saying "My mixup is better" or "We didn't see that in four years !". The fact is that order sol has mixups. In tournaments you play one or two matchs, and in those matchs you'll have to use mixups that will confuse your opponent, and that's all. The matter is not the age of the mixup or things, the matter is that the mixup works. Imagine you press and do this : - P, S, 2k, 2D and the 2D connect. Next time you could do this : - P, S, 2K, BRP lvl1,2,3. and the BRP connects, great ! After that you can do for exemple : - P, S, 2K, BRP FRC throw and the throw works. And again after that : - P, S, 2K, Charge cancel, run, Throw and the throw works again. The important is to be logical to you opponent to trick him. You are often talking about many things that are just theory, or applicable only in freeplay when you played many matchs with the same oponent and that you need to find something new/more complicate, a situation that rarely happens. The mixup is a technique, but that's the psychological pressure that is important (and you have ways to keep it, the simple alternance of good zoning, pressing and gard is enough), and your own psychological status at the moment you play (you have ways to keep it too), not really deblatering about the age of a mixup.
  5. Hey Reaver, why don't you go out sometimes, quitting the forums, seeing the world you know... Looks like youa re in stress this season.
  6. Heeeeeeeeem... Yeah. Theory is interesting but in games you have also the psychological fact to take in account, from order sol point of view and axl point of view. OS will stress and lose if dominated by the pokes of Axl, AX will lose if OS manage to put a first combo and stay close. I'm not a pro of the matchup, but as I said this is... a tool, and a very usefull one in my opinion that's all. I just realized that it was more useful against axl that other characters because of the long and horizontal pokes. You still have to use zoning options of OS (fafnir, lvl2 moves, Dash Break) with it.
  7. A thing I realised is the use of the one frame jump : against axl it's very usefull. Here why : - It instantly makes the 2P and 2HS of Axl useless. Each time you thing he will do a low poke like this one, do a one frame jump. If you are right you will be in air, if Axl does a 5P you will take it in the air gard if close, or not take it if not close. - After you jumped on a 2P/2HS, do air dash. You will arrive on axl when he's finishing his move and you'll be able to attack him. This technique is not ultimate, it's just usefull against axl players who like to establish a campsite. A axl taking heavy damage each time he makes a 2P/2HS that is predictable will stop poking without thinking and hesitate, and you'll be able to come closer more easily.
  8. Rensengeki : truly I think you should not try to find a location in Stockholm. I know many of you laughts when we said stenhamra was great, but as the place was big with a lot of place, a market nearby and... a freezer (gorgeous !), we felt that we didn't need anything else than that and the sixteen televisions. Seriously, even if it's funny for you, for us these conditions to play were far better than being in a small place but in a big city. Comfort is more important in my opinion than hype of a big city : we came to play, see your level, compete it and we were truly very satisfied, and that is, in my opinion, the more important.
  9. Trully ? With photos of people yelling "YOU WA SHOCK !!" ?? Nice vids guys, still a very good level in your country. By the way, when is the next showdown, the french players are all waiting for it !
  10. Come to paris to participate to the gnouz ranking, some great players are coming each time and the level is increasing. I am myself not from paris but from normandy and try to come each time to level up ! ^^ In fact many french players were interested but they were sometimes problems for sleeping and as hotel is expensive, many can't came, and the others forget. :/ Next time I hope.
  11. I think you are as great as others in europe, I did not ask to pretend being superior or all (re-reading my post can make it feel that way), I was just very surprised as, like I said, some players seemed in stress or not knowing the game, and as only two players came out of the qualification, it was very surprising ! Hope to see others matchs of all to see improvement !
  12. I was just curious because the may seemed a bit lost, the slayer is just agressive, the sol does not know any loop and the potemkin miss the same combo 4 times... Except the slayer in fact who have a good agressive play and solid combos, the others does not seem very strong, and almost all are using burst dangerously and not garding very well. But perhaps conditions, stress, and many other things happened and made it hard for players, I am myself not so good and tournaments makes me stress a lot. EDIT : the others quarter finals Quart de finale GGXXAC : Kaworu v Inti http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fyNY81msowA Quart de finale GGXXAC : Kane v Bido http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Lfd4pl91hjs Quart de finale GGXXAC : Goukifafa v Robocop2 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MwW6C80N9_k Liked the testament of Kane and the chipp of robocop, the others are playing hem... Strangely I think.
  13. Hum... Are the finalist the best players of UK or is there players better than them ?
  14. Congratulations to the winners ! That's great we could watch you top players from america in a single and big tournalement. I discovered some talents I didn't know before.
  15. You are right Akira but I think dashing on the ground is better than air dash because of the 6P, 6HS. Against venom you have to learn how to dash break efficiently, in my opinion of course, because a S garded, two S dash break, and Venom will start to stress a bit if you continue tu pressure his life distance.
  16. And I will add a thing too : when venom has no ball on the stage, rush him, even if you do not have tension or level. You HAVE to rush him, if you stay on you side, you're dead, so no back dash, no retreat, and if you do it well you'll see that venom will have hard time cause he cannot put a ball.
  17. Sorry to say it reaver but i must agree with him : you are a bit arrogant on this forum, and guys told me that you weren't that way during the tournament, kinda a cool and normal guy. As for the guides I agree with people : he is very good that way, and many other things you have to learn (Mostly for me the Hit confirm, the Dash Break and the psychological domination in a match) is coming with many matches and a good coach to help you. I really improve in pressing and pressure when Nooj learned me when I needed to gard and when my time has come to attack. And it's something a guide on a forum cannot do, in my opinion of course. Some told me you were fun to watch (too much dragons) but not a very good player, and taking a beat by 27 by Mitsurugi makes me feel that way. I heard that you were always doing Dash > Dragon and after that ask Mitsu "How did you know I was going to do this". Mitsurugi is possibly one of the most calm and zen players you can find in france, he's for many persons one of the most intelligent players, and you really have to think of HOW you can beat him, what ways you have to counter him. He is a player wich makes you progress. HolyBadSanta, Feilap (who was in stuttgart), and even myself can beat him even if he is more strong than us as we learn a lot from him and him from us. Taking a BB is not a big deal, but continue playing this much always the same way against a man knowed to be thinking and not change your way of playing do not make me feel you are enough skilled to make a guide, even a psychological guide of how to use dragons at wake up. I was not here to watch and relies on my friends players who liked you, but not your style of playing, and I totally trust them. And if you want to know how he did that, it's simple : we have players making as much dragons as you do in France, some are really good players (Ryukim), so counter this kind of playing is easy after a match, so when you have years of experience, it's cake. Ps : consider it not like a way of making fun of you, but an advice to progress. Next time think about how you can surprise your opponent and beat him. It's better to think about yourself and your play before trying to teach others.
  18. Reaver : Honestly, it was more expensive to go to this event than in Sweden for me. I went there and enjoyed it but didn't go to Stuttgart because of a lack of money. Holy Bad Santa goes to events in France but he's not a student if I remenber well, and using days of rest to go to an event, expensive indeed, is kind of hard. And for the "Top Teams", they weren't all here. Cuongster, Joe Higashi, Pentarou, Oro, Keev, Toto the barjo, Dream Maker, Byakougan, Baykou, Ryukim, KB, Zino, Mitsuomi... And in europe almost all the german players didn't come and only the most well knowed players came. From Sweden ? Yonasu for exemple as shinjin and Caer are leaving for Japan. From Finland with Lazze, Starfire, and many more didn't came. It was the first international tournament for Cracker (who plays since reload but never came), Rudy, for Immoral flamme too I think... So this event didn't have at all the top players. Some top french were there (Millia, Fallen, Mitsurugi, Nooj, Cracker) but they were among the most famous only, not the top of tops. You are a bit rude, but it's true that event, even if it started with a good mind, was a bit of a failure : no good TV at the beginning (and only 2), more french and Slovenia players than german players... When all the french dudes came, indeed to meet the germans as only ATG, Chunl1 and ACDHell are going to tournament outside germany and are knowed. HBS is not saying that event was shit and organisators sucks. Only that it could have been better, and as he knows now what happend, he do not regret to pass. It's my case too.
  19. It was a tournament in Stuttgart (Germany) and I didn't come, my friend Nooj (Venom player) went there. Some of the most strong teams : Nooj, Craker, Rudy : Best fr VE, Best fr RO, Ky (6 months of playing) Keken, champion, A jam player : Zappa (Slovenia, was in sweden), Sol player i think. ACDhell, ATG, et chunli_1 : The three most knowed german players (OS, CH, DI) An american, reaver, and Mat daemon : Can you inform us ? Mitsu, fallen, Millia : Best fr JO, Best fr I-no, Best fr MI. The videos will come soon and Millia told me the match were awesome.
  20. Mitsurugi is THE johnny to help you learning the matchup, I hope you enjoyed the game. How was the tournament Reaver ? Some players said the team tournament was very high level.
  21. No seriously, the "local johnny player" is mitsurugi, one of the most skilled johnny player in france, he's hard to beat.
  22. I feel betrayed, how does the next showdow can be famous without you ?
  23. First : when you send a ball after putting HOS on the ground, make sure the ball goes the nearest you can of the ground. This way HOS cannot use the gunblaze to escape the ball and I-no comming. If HOS guard, just do the stuff you do normally. If HOS jumps, then throw him or press him. Normally HOS cannot jump, just gard, but everything depends of your skills. If you time well the ball to arrive when HOS stand on his feet, then he will not be abble to jump. His backdash is not safe enough to save him from the ball and I-no. Then once the ball is in the gard you have to pressure him the max you can, and take care of his Dead Angle as it can be used as a launcher. Another thing : if you try to pressure HOS without a ball, the best way he have to break your press is to use... P. PPPPP will make you crazy, as a single punch can become an half life combo. So again, time very well your pressure to arrive near order sol and pressure him righ after he wakes up. And finally a trick to understand why HOS can sometimes pass under I-no pressure with a gunblaze (assuming I-no didn't throw a ball but didn't let time to HOS for using P). In fact it depends of the move I-no use just after her dash. The trick is that when you press using : Dash, Slash, 2+K, when doing the Slash, the animation of the move is a bit longer, and gives just enough time to HOS to make a gunblaze. The Kick alone is dangerous as when falling, HOS can catch you with a throw, and the Dash, K, S, is hard to do as you have to dash a lot to do it. I suggest to you this : use kick or punch at the beginning, Dash, fall 2K, making very small pressures. You can also fake the HS and throw HOS. You can also do the Dash, Slash, but you have then to block the Gunblaze if order HOS see it (it can be done easily). That's all I can say about the tactics I developped against I-no. They are very basic, but knowing that will help you a lot, as once you know that, HOS can have problem going out of your pressures. Remember to always throw a ball when possible, as this move is the key to prevent HOS using his Shoryu, Gunblaze and Punch. The key is TIMING. If you time your balls and pressures accordingly with order sol wake up, he's dead. A HOS player (second character I-no :p)
  24. Blade can you make some mental torture or interference with mugen creator's minds, to find out how they did ? (Kidding, too bad in fact...)
