No, Ragna didn't die, he was still alive inside the Black Beast after he jumped into it. He was inside it until the very end, and right before it disappeared Rachel sent him back to the present. The "Zero" that Rachel mentioned was phase zero, the very first time loop.

Ragna in the phase 0 is always Ragna from CP, Ragna's scene in the other Phase-shift is inside the Black Beast and he return's to the present at the end of phase shift 4. XBLAZE is a series of two games, Code:Embryo and Lost:Memories. Lost:Memories is going to be released in the spring of 2015 in japan. I have a hard time to see there are no connection. Naoto's personality is very similar to that of Ragna, only a little calmer(probably because Naoto's life hasn't been as bad as Ranga). Naoto even uses the same phrase as Ragna 「てめぇ、馬鹿かぁぁぁぁつ‼」. Raquel and Naoto's situation seems really similar to that thing Rachel mentioned in the arcade ending in CT. Also the author had a habit of writing Ragna when she was supposed to write Naoto. But I don't know. Might be more clear after part 2.

The closest to a translation there is, is the in progress summary on the wikia. It's only up to the end of chapter three and there are some minor mistakes in it that should be fixed after the summary is done. However Saya doesn't appear until the very end of the first volume and there isn't much known about her. Also, story discussion about BE goes to this thread (maybe that thread should change it title to something with Light Novel in it? I can't think of a good title though...).
