Oh. That's pretty nice. Wonder how much mileage we can get out of the resulting wall bounce it causes when you hit it forward. I look forward to seeing how JP players end up using this extra feature of Citrine ^,^ Here's a few more things I noted from newer matches There was uncertainty in the translation of the Famitsu article but Nine's Gravity Seed spell definitely hits the opponents when it knocks them out of the air and forces them to the ground. Might be air unblockable since the Carl player was barrier blocking when he jumped into it before he got knocked down to the ground but he could've just stopped blocking. https://youtu.be/Nw8ipXfzgrQ?t=515 A nice example how CH 214B leads into a full combo thanks to the wall bounce https://youtu.be/j2OIl9D59cs?t=483 Feels like Uvarovite of Destruction has some weak tracking for 1-2 seconds, then it stops tracking and there's a brief delay before the rain of fire comes down. Seems easy to escape on its own but the blast radius is fairly large though. Sadly, this feels like the usual pace we get Rachel matches at ;.; Not a lot of people play Rachel to begin with, never mind play on stream. When N-O played her a lot in CP 1.0 and 1.1, the pace was somewhat better because he frequents a-cho and a-cho uploads a lot of footage.

A few things I saw from watching a few of the match vids 3C seems like it could be a good option at round start. Seems like you can convert into a combo if we're close enough but the combo drops in this example. I'm going to answer this question based solely on these three sentences. I think you should: Shift the bulk load of your time committed back on to BB. Your local scene doesn't really care for it? That's fine. Welcome to the life of a Persona, DFC, Skullgirls (in a lot of places), etc. player. It's not a particularly bad situation to be in to be honest, especially since a lot of people do play the games on netplay. You just need to take a lot more initiative in finding games and playing people. Going in the Match Making thread, skype/discord chat, etc. and asking if people want to play is nice but gets inconsistent results. If you're really serious about playing often, you should start talking to people directly, seeing when the best time to get matches in with them are and frequently organize matches with them. Keep playing GG but shift your focus on getting the most out of your matches with your friends instead of just playing the game in general. If I've learned anything from playing a wide variety of games and meeting/interacting with lots of people and communities, it's really that the person sitting next to you or on the other arcade cab is what's ultimately going to make playing the game enjoyable. If you've already got great friends and cool people to play against, you've already met the conditions to enjoy your matches. You just need to shift your focus to enjoying your time with your friends. Don't concern yourself with playing other people unless you're up to it. Those are my thoughts on this situation. Hope it helps in some way.

She's looking to have some really nice palettes. #6 and #9 are looking like my style right now. Oh really? This is pretty neat. I'm curious to see how it's going to get used. There's another interesting movement tidbit like this in greatfernman's translations that I thought was pretty interesting. Apparently, Nine can follow up her dash with another dash and it has the ability to make her go from the ground to the air and vis versa. Very curious to see this in action. Feel like there might be some nice, cross up/cross down potential here, especially when combined with the right spells. An interesting spell. I'm curious to see if we can make use of it for reversal safe oki. Though I guess it depends on how well it'll work against multi-hit moves. I wonder if it'll guard all hits of a multi-hit DP like Kagura's or only the first hit. -

There'll be streams. There's always a few streams for BBCF right now but there's no guarantee that the people playing will play Nine. Your best bet is to either hope for a KaoTV episode focused around her like they did with Johnny, Jam, Hibiki and Naoto or to keep your ear to the ground on twitter and catch a tweet about someone pointing out a Nine player on a stream. -

Let me know what you find if you go back to test. I'm pretty confident just by looking at it that even H2 red lock is slightly negative, which does line up with what we heard in loketests. I'm more interested to know if it's negative enough to get punished on block.

hmmmm, seems like blocked drive doesn't really bounce back far enough for it to be a safe distance like it did in loketest. Well, it's very early on and none of the Bullet players we've seen so far are the usual notable ones so I don't know if there's really anything to take away from these early match videos except specific changes and new tech. On a somewhat related note, this Top 30 Dan rankings that Jourdal tweeted earlier today has a Bullet at the 20th spot. Doesn't mean much because of how early on it is but I'm quite curious about this Mshi Bullet since I've never seen footage of him before. I hope some footage of him will turn up in the near future. 0's Bullet would also be nice footage to see.

Not necessarily. It's still pretty early and this is arcade release where people don't get to grind training mode + lack extensive training mode options. It's very possible that they get CHed because they aren't timing their next input right and are ending up - instead of +. -
Ok. I see what you were actually originally asking. All right then. Let me rephrase my answer then. Replace winding a pumpkin to hit meaty with having a (winded) lotus bat trying to attach itself meaty and the part where you want to reset pressure with TK Iris and you more or less have the same thing. I think Pumpkin and Lotus are pretty interchangeable in the context of pressure, at least in the corner. You might not be able to do things exactly like how you did it with the Pumpkin but there'll be ways to accomplish it. It's neutral that's more concerning for me. There's too much dependency on having poles out and strategically placed in my opinion. But it's best to wait and see. JP Rachels might come up with some interesting tactics to make this a non issue.

Really? Wow. That sucks. I can only hope that this is heat dependent somehow. Also yeah. 2C > Afterburner's make me cringe right now. I am definitely praying for a breakthrough involving 6B launch combos. I would really like to see some footage of better known Bullets show up in the near future. I'm curious to see how they're making use of the new 5D.

You asked for clarification on how can you keep an opponent in blockstun twice using lotus without spending wind and I gave you what I thought Fonon could mean. Not sure where this conversation of pumpkin oki vs TK Iris came from.

Not sure if it's what Fonon had in mind specifically but I think the first is lotus hitbox when attaching and the second is TK Sword Irising the lotus in a blockstring. But I'm just guessing.
