Teams generally take shorter. Because the amount of rounds played is the same (the only difference is going back to the char select screen in the case of GG/MB), but 4 people get taken up in one setup rather than 2. Running 3 games now, maybe 4 in the future...yeah. People complain about moneys/whine how they're free/won't win and claim poverty. So I have to try to make things cheap. But we do have multiple tournies going on, but at different points. Managing players isn't that big a deal though, it only held things up longer than a minute once, and that was due to a mm people were having in the corner.

Because we are using competent software that doesn’t depend on an internet connection, in the unlikely event a mistake is made, we can fix it. You will also NOT play your friend in the first round, because if our random seeding does this, we can fix it. However as larger tournaments happen, this is becoming beyond our greater control, but we are striving to do our best. This tournament is NOT a side event to SSFIV. This community (ANIME) is the top priority, and the only community that is attending. Thus, this tournament will be run as efficiently as our resources allow. And for the love of god, and me, report your matches AS SOON AS THEY ARE FINISHED. Games: MBAA 2v2 starts at 2:00 ($5 per person, $10 total) (PS2) BBCS 2v2 starts at 3:00 ($5 per person, $10 total) (PS3) GGXXAC 2v2 starts at 5:00 ($5 per person, $10 total) (PS2) The reason for the times: GG is generally considered the main event. MB is on the same console, thus it gets the early start so it can be done by GG hopefully. In addition Venue fee $7 – goes to Gamepad to hosting, and to compensate Sp00ky's ride, labor and equipment expenses. TO’s are volunteering. Pre-tournament and on TVs that aren't being used for the tournament casuals are cool. Just pay venue fee to do so. Venue opens at 12. Supplying extra copies of the games is cheap and effortless, and helps these tournaments so much, Game Pad has the consoles and TVs we need, though more are appreciated, especially if you play DLC characters. On the other hand, we do NEED a modded PS2 for MBAA. Preferably THREE to run tournament efficiently. This is because I can't carry mine between my laptop that runs the tournament, and my stick that gets more action than your mom. Three MB PS2's is idea to get things efficiently done so the next game doesn't need to be on hold for the stream holding things up. Gamepad has house sticks, don't worry 360 players. It got the most teams/hype ratio. I'd say they proved themselves. Watch as CS balance patch somehow revives the hype for the game and I kill myself by throwing AH3 into the mix!

There's not much more room for more TVs sadly. But mostly another modded PS2 would help immensely given the length in Melty. I can run Guilty with 2 TVs, but Melty ended up taking longer than expected cause of it.

My mem card was around, it has Ex Slayer look harder. Mahouko: I'm oldman. Josh is Ancient though. And bring me more setups and punctual tourny goers for things to start on time.

@ MGV - People reporting their matches was a bigger issue. It really came down to Pad putting down Carl's name twice by accident. Or Karl. Depending on the point of view. Good times...being new here. I think you should at the very least clean things up, and create a basics/beginners guide you are satisfied with. Make the new players that come here have something to fall back on and make your forums look presentable. What you do regarding CS1 vs CS2 I can't say I know. If I were in your shoes, I'd see how long it'd take me to sort the above out. If it would help, I can lend you my capture card if that would motivate you.

I agree. Honestly, we're not based off a niche game that wasn't mainstream and took hard work to play anymore. I think a badge system is ok. This may be a bit beauracratic (sp), but this is the way I see it. Various badges to get obtain...no this shit ain't pokemon. I'll try to use examples. Character info contribution - At the approval of said character's mod, gets a badge to show they know what they're talking about and can be trusted to deliver good information. An example would be Dacidbro who posts good info on the Bang boards. Gamplay contribution - probably handled more by admins, as this would show the person made a significant contribution/article type thing towards general gameplay mechanics. An example would be Stunedge who has posted system/information guides/loc test data. Video contribution - Again, approval of mod, shows the user contributes videos of some kind (gameplay only preferably to those with it). This is used so people can find vids easier by looking at their post history. And example would be Zeth07 who does the Bang video thread. Story contribution - Circ or whoever else does Zepp Museum stuff can give these out. Yes Blade would have a badge. Deal with it. TxGG/BB whatever - T=top. T8SB2010BB for instance. Or W for the winner I guess. People placing high in any major, maybe even tournament with a certain amount of people in it. A bit complex looking with the numbers? Maybe. But you only need to see the T or W to know that person is legit. The example I used in that coding would be for anyone who took Top 8 at Season's Beatings this year for BB. Top 4 have T4, Lord Knight would have T2 or RU, Zidane T1 or W. Because of the approval requirements, and the classification, not only is it difficult/you have to make a significant contribution to get, it could weed out those motivated only for badges. That's my thoughts at least.
