RANT WARNING (and not pointing fingers at anyone here): And because english is the only language in which they can judge the acting accurately. Let's be fair for a second, the common elitist wouldn't be able to tell a bad jpn voice actor from a good one since the inflection of each word is meaningless if you don't understand the language. And even if one DOES have a grasp of the japanese language, most of the exposure you'd get it is from anime; it's not the language you speak and hear in every day life and therefore it becomes harder to recognize a natural performance or one that is over the top. And while we're on the topic of Noellers, I might get a lot of crap for saying this: but after watching Alter Memory, I came to the realization that I might have jumped on the Noel Hate Train if I heard her japanese voice first (no offense to Kanako Kondo). Cristina Vee's performance somehow made her more likable to me. That being said though, I still have high respect for the japanese cast, I just happen to like the english one better. This isn't the 90s anymore, voice acting has improved tremendously over the years to the point where the ''Sub vs Dub'' debate is now practically 100% subjective. In the end we're all fans of the same thing so no need to start a flamewar over a trivial preference.

Rise of the Rise! She definitely looks more fun in motion(that face during the slap super lol) and I'm assuming her soul satellite thingy is a super as well ? Also curious about Golden Arena, specifically what the social links do if they're not just a fancy way of displaying rewards. At this point, I'm not expecting any info ln Ken tommorow though I'm pretty sure it's a given that he'll be in the console release

Because it's always exciting when a non combatant makes it into a fighting game roster. Rise being playable does sound really interesting but I hope Atlus will find a semi-decent explanation behind her Persona learning offensive skills (in fact, it looks like she has a new one). At any rate that also mean there will be a shitstorm regarding the addition of Ken. But most importantly, that also mean we're getting Shadow Rise and Ken by proxy. Definitely looking forward to that

That source doesn't really look legitimate, so I'd say the best option is to wait until the 25th. On the rumour: Ken sounds like a believable possibility but Rise, on the other hand has a Persona that isn't meant to have any fighting abilities. Then again, she can participate in an all out attack in Golden so the chances of her being a playable fighter isn't exactly 0% either. Still not counting on it, but if she does make the cut, it would be a nice surprise. And wow, the Ken Hate on that other forum is downright violent. On the event that he's added to the roster, I may end up maining the poor little guy out of pity.

It happened to me recently...match was literally unplayable.

When I watch anime, I'm pretty 50/50 when it comes to dubs or subs. In games, however, I usually play in english because playing in a language I don't understand kinda affects the immersion for me (call me weird but it does). I WOULD switch to japanese if the english voice actors were absolutely terrible, but it definitely isn't the case with Blazblue. Honestly, I think that those who call the dub of blazblue ''crap'' have probably never heard objectively bad voice acting, and should feel lucky. Plus, CP has Erin Fitzgerald as Bullet, Yuri Lowenthal as Amane and Doug Erholtz's Terumi is very fun to listen to (yes I'm one of those who prefer him to Erik Davies). The only voice I have a problem with is (drum rolls) Bang's but I have this feeling that Steve Kramer really isn't the one at fault. As for Persona 4 Arena: it has almost the same cast as in the original games (safe for a few voices I wasn't that fond of anyway; like Fuuka's) and I just love the cast of both P3 and P4, so I'd probably never switch. If Guilty Gear Xrd does end up localized with english voices, I think it would be neat if you get the option to chose individual voice select like in Street Fighter. It offers the best compromise IMO.
