BlazBlue Question Thread - Ask your questions here!

I actually learned a lot of Japanese just by playing BLAZBLUE, I'm pretty sure I learned Katakana from playing it! I know a good bit of spoken Japanese, but I'm still not perfect, and I'm not so great at reading it either due to Kanji, But the good thing is that with BLAZBLUE, almost all of the text is accompanied with spoken voices as well, so most of the time you can hear the Kanji spoken which may help you memorize and learn it. It sounds dumb, but it actually works. I've been recognizing more and more Kanji lately by doing this. Japanese is very straight-forward in pronunciation, most of the written letters in the Japanese alphabet are only pronounced one way, making it very easy to learn. I'm not good at giving tips, but I hoped this helped at least a little! -
Don't forget: you're still welcome at MGDC.
-
No! Don't join the Valk Army! Join the "Mash j.C for a Gorillion Damage Coalition". That's "MGDC" for short. You know you can't resist the call of the j.C.

I bet those sketches are gonna look awesome once they're finished.
-
That's some kind of awesome right there. It almost makes me want to buy it for the Terumi illustration alone.
-
This illustration looks awesome to me. It's simply the artist's style, and it looks great to me.
-
Ooh, that's sweet.

It's easy for me to decide who to play as; Because I don't give a crap about "tiers", I just play as whoever the heck I want. I'd worry less about your precious tiers, and more about personal play style and character preference. I like it when people play a character because they like the character's play style, design, or personality, not because they're "S", "D", "C", "B", "A" "tier". Come and get me, moderators.

I see, thanks! That was very helpful. I was trying to decide if I wanted to get it when it comes out, but I'd rather play BBCP on my PS3, and if there's no drastic changes to it, I don't see a reason to get it again.
-
Does anyone know if BBCP for Vita will be a direct port of BBCP from PS3 just with new story scenarios/extras? Or will it be like BBCSE, where it includes DLC characters, re-balancing, or more? Edit: Look at how horrifyingly awesome Mr. Terumi looks. Glad to see more art for him, he deserves it.

I thought so. Thanks for answering my question.

Are these comics subbed by a company that localizes comics? Or are they subbed by fans? Also, how come the shading was different in those two comparisons?
-
Same here, I banned the dub from my ears upon hearing too many dubbed atrocities.

You people are hardcore, staying up late into the night like nocturnal creatures to beat each other up for a few hours, abandoning all hope of a regular sleep-cycle, and then still plowing through the next day with little to no sleep. You people are professionals. If I tried something like that, I'd never be right again.

I guess they decided to use the original Japanese cover since they couldn't find anything in it to censor. Waiting for Japanese games to come out in North America or Europe is starting to seem like a joke to me, I mean, why should I wait who-knows-how-long when I can get a nice import copy early? And I don't have to worry about terrible dubs or translations. to importing.

Haha, I hope so. Testes is also hilarious. Online Match time is over. I'm sincerely very sorry to the two people that entered my hell-hole, it was a netplay atrocity the likes of which the world hasn't seen since my BBCSE days.
-
I like "Tesno" the best. "Testes" sounds insulting, and you do not insult The Valkenhayn Grand Master. By the way, I may have a room for a bit soon if anyone would like to try that fresh slice of hell. I will probably make it a room for 2 people only though, in hopes of an improved connection. So if anyone would like to try, please look for my PSN name in Player Match. (it's the same as my dustloop name)

If you're looking for characters with class, look no further than Terumi/Hazama. Such class. Such sadism. The glory. Terumi and Hazama in their rightful high-ranked places. Is Ragna ever not popular? Ragna does not deserve this much praise all the time. #Nerf popularity

Looks great to me! Nice colors. Does recoloring this stuff take a lot of time? -

Thank you for the help! I have Adobe Photoshop Elements, I bet that would work. But now the issue is I have no idea how to actually recolor anything. Ah, well, guess I'll just have to give it a shot. -
Dude, I love those songs too. I thought Endless DespairII's intro was almost too godlike, the first time I heard it I was like: "Good lord, that's awesome." I loved Kokonoe's as well, it really fits her and shows her power of SCIENCE, but it has some quirkiness to it that really fits Kokonoe's personality and play style. I think all of BBCP's songs are incredibly godly, I couldn't pick a favorite.

I got the full BLAZBLUE CHRONOPHANTASMA soundtrack for Christmas so I can listen to all the songs from BBCP now. I haven't heard all of the songs completely yet, but I love them all, some that I like the most are: Gluttony FangII Endless DespairII Bullet DanceII Science Fiction Black & White in JUSTICE Proof of the Warrior SIX-HEROES Though I think they're all fantastic. So, which BBCP songs do you all like the most?

I for one loved the anime while it lasted. It's just 12 episodes are too short for a story such as BLAZBLUE's, I think that it felt rushed at times and that's my only complaint, but that could easily have been fixed if they simply had more episodes. I realize that because the company that did the anime was new, they probably didn't have the budget or time for more episodes, or maybe they thought that 12 episodes would be enough but it didn't quite work out that way towards the end. But, all in all, I really enjoyed it and that's what matters.

Alright! Thanks bro! Also, I was wondering, do you have to use any computer program in particular to be able to recolor? Or can you use almost any PhotoShop-like program? Recoloring seems like it could be fun, and I might want to give it a try.
