What kind of ideas do you guys have to link a near-corner 5B+C? The 2 combos on first post work great everywhere but a certain distance from the corner, where the initial j.5D misses due to wallbounce off the grab.

Nope, 3C's got some changed properties on the last hit, opp will hit the floor faster and can tech right away making 236A whiff, and even if they don't tech it becomes an uncomboable blue beat otg edit: tried 3C > Cat3 in the corner too, techs way too fast

It would make sense to me. but we still don't know which trope they're playing. Not sure if BB Wiki is a trustworthy place to cite from, but I can't find anything relating to them wearing a mask; Though they prod at us in the Teach Me Litchi Sensei where Rachel asks if it's a mask, I think it's just their way of making fun of us and getting us to think. I'm pretty convinced under that hood is a cat face much like Jubei's, but whether it's a mask or just the hood that keeps it black.... that's all just speculation.

...By "dashing", you literally mean j.8~A>land>66>jump>j.8~A right? Because I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing this wrong. Sure, I could just settle for a measly 2-3 reps midscreen... but it feels unfulfilled =/

Uhh no ... >jC >dj jB >j2D~B These hit a grounded opp. Yeahh it's true that if they IB dp you're in trouble but; 1. Well D~C is pretty fast I mean imo it's usually fast for them to react through IB, unless your being predictable, which is the bane of a tao player. 2. That, or they're mashing dp, in which case you just need to bait and punish so that they get scared of mashing then you can have your fun. You'll probably say "but noo D~C can't bait and punish DPs cause I gotta block" Well. Refer to number one? =o As well as what LK said Tao has so much mixup crap going on, you should be able to get a hit in before your pressure game becomes stale. You're not trying to keep em pinned for too long I mean sooner or later there's a pattern, and you don't want to get to the end of the pattern before you get things going for you. ---- Uh yeah 2a doesn't really have all that much priority.. ya know. Try something else. You don't even have to continue your string you could try and get them to whiff by using something like 4D i dunno or just use 5B or 2B instead.. or if they're breaking out by some extravagant dp you can bait their foolishness by blocking. (theory fighting a bit here)

>>new j.B Can't figure any thing to use it for that the others don't already do, but I saw it being used here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJxgR_pziCE at 9:07~ He did 2A>5B>2B>6A>j.B>Cat2x5 Why didn't he just do a j.8D~A loop? I assume because he probably couldn't hit confirm and it was safer just to jump and follow up pressure, which in this case is just use cat2.. j.B because it's easier? Either that or proration was too much to risk dropping combo? but even then he could try for throw reset.

Speaking of 214D auto-correct, I just realized that 2D~B auto-corrects even when I don't crossup, which is really stupid because if I wanted to use it without crossing up I actually do whatever move backwards(that includes any normal/driv eafter that - j.C/j.D/j.2D even j.A all fly out the other direction). ...isn't that weird? Or is that a good thing? edit: Wait... I think it was always like that. Didn't realize... (?)

I personally don't think it matters how long you've been playing fighting games. I'd been a GG fan ever since GGX, and right up to Accent Core. Played often with some guys I met on dustloop, worked on my game until I was proud of my skills. BB came out and I played it at the arcades with said GGAC players. None of us could combo but we were still able to put up a decent game. I went back and continued playing GG until BBCS came out. Returned to said arcade, got my ass kicked. Why? Because by that time everyone in the arcade could play well enough to trap me and finish me in a couple of combos. I couldn't do anything but watch myself be burst-baited and combo'd. So if you're playing against stronger players it's painful to work your way up. This happens even after you've got BnB and combos because people already know how to screw with your head so you can't block without getting hit. You won't be able to zone your way into getting into a combo either. At that point you need learn to get a poke in, which is nothing but practice.
