I guess if you don't wanna mix them up. Tbh I always thought that getting 150+ damage with the setup anywhere on screen was pretty ridiculous. I really don't think our high out of our high-low mixup should be our best damage
-
It is weird... to us. We have no confirmation on if combos involving j.236S were doin up to 200 damage or what.
-
Taking into consideration that f.S combos into 2S, and 2S combos (if patch is real) into 2D and 2HS on crouching (which can now be jump cancelled), it still sounds like we'll be doing overall better
-
The proration changes I dont get. We weren't dealing assloads of damage before, especially not with a f.S starter. The j.236S nerf I feel like it had to do with new combo paths, so maybe they did a ton of damage before? Idk. We already heard about the 6HS nerf before, so that doesn't bother me. The airdash change... eh, its good, but it just makes combos easier. Hemijack is basically the same as it is now, with reduced recovery, so... yeah
-
I'm really hoping they let us actually hold FD from float in the patch. I've died so many times pressing FD while floating just to say "huh, holding back for FD? Well here's your airdash!"

GunFrame - available for Android and iOS (Updated: 1/22)
NecroTheReaper replied to AnBi2199's topic in Guilty Gear General
Mine hasn't been crashing, so maybe I just downloaded the new one. Anyway, had no clue about the screen tilting lol. I like hitstun/blockstun values to find out if something combos in certain situations or if there's a gap in pressure, but seems kinda redundant if there's attack levels. Is there a list of levels to blockstun values, like a map key? I always forget since its not even increments- 90 replies

I just got it, and I like it. I go back and forth through the wiki all the time so its the greatest convenience. Would adding in attack levels be too much? Personally I prefer seeing hitstun/blockstun values more, but I dunno if that's something other people like and/or something you'd like to take time to put in.- 90 replies

I honestly need to use 881/2/3 more. I feel like my mixup has become stagnant without learning to use it properly. Empty jumps lows, throws, dp baits.. I'm missing a lot
-
Personally, after hearing that j.HS auto baits bursts and DAA's, I'm starting to think its better to use only when you wanna save up RISC for big damage or they got 50 heat and are afraid to BS anything. I like the move, but I prefer j.K more for pressure/mixup. Speaking of superjumps, does sj.886/3 accomplish any more than j.886/3? I feel like I remember superjumps being cancellable earlier, but maybe I'm thinkin of another game

She'd have to commit pretty hard after trading fireballs full screen if she wanted to punish you, if she even could. My point was that it forced her to need to go offensive, and do it fast or we get free damage. Least it worked fine for me, but I'm also not saying "throw sheep out every time you get 50 meter".
-
This was also before console hit, so we didn't have everyone in the world lookin for optimal combos that gave knockdown.
-
Found out yesterday if you really wanna make a I-no player concerned about neutral, if you're full screen having fireball wars, trade one and do hemijack YRC. I underused this move a lot, but it's amazing when it slaps her out of the air with its unblockableness Also, anyone found this matchup popping up more frequently?
-
Is this from a grab starter or what?
-
https://mobile.twitter.com/zidanel33t/status/563526125767630849 So if we get knockdown off air combos, that is a massive amount of untech they gave task B. Testing 1HS>RC>2369S>, you land before them, but they air tech. This sounds like more and more good combos now
-
From grab and 2D, I just walk forward, 9>falling j.S for safejump. Task C kd I do neutral jump j.S. Task b knockdown, I'd rather just do dv B than try a safejump.
-
Yeah, for me, RCing is only worth it to keep your ass safe during pressure or if you really need that knockdown, and if I was able to combo into 2D, that's more than enough. I'd rather get a reversal/frametrap/whatever Helios instead of getting closer to our depressingly low damage ceiling
-
Just curious, does the task b buff apply to both air and ground versions? Cuz if so I think we may have just gotten some decent combo utility off of 1HS>tk task B>land>c.S or something of the sort
-
2S>2D ... Thank you Team Red. What does longer cancellations time on f.S mean? Like better for graveyards into 5HS/2D? Edit: lol graveyards... meant to be frametraps
-
If every character that had a reversal were all given 623 inputs, I'd have absolutely no issue with the reversal windows. But half circles in 2 frames are painful.
-
Still first loketest, lots of testing to be done, and since this is team red I'm sure we'll at least be like "eh, it was good"
-
Then you're just encouraging them to use the simpler BS on wakeup. Either way, you'll see SOME defensive mechanic being abused if it's easier, and I'd rather it be something other than PRS with high-low. I like BS, as good as it is I see it used less than it should, but if not dps it'll revolve around 2 button BS
-
I'm just saying I don't like how he thinks them making it more lenient is going to ruin the entire competitiveness of the game because now reversals become a valid and concerning wakeup option for more people. I can still safe jump the reversal, or go with a reversal safe Oki, or whatever will beat the specific reversal option. I think a strategy game requires more thought and less repetition than a rhythm game after all, which the decisions should matter more than execution.
-
That is the true elitist way. Stop acting like you're better than new people, otherwise GG will truly die because no one new will ever wanna play. A 2f barrier for wakeup reversals, especially for characters that rely on maybe a half circle or two for a super, is not something that you can look at someone and be "you're a terrible scrub, gtfo". Coming from BB, should I claim I'm the best Relius player because I have the execution to do IAD combos consistently? He'll no, cuz there's more to the game than simple execution.
-
Neither are you, stop your self stroking egotism.
-
Really still hoping for a buff to 5HS's vacuum. Using it sets up a pretty good 50-50 and if 1/2/3HS is jump cancellable, we have a strong way to resume pressure if we opt out of mix up
