  1. A few notes I have for this matchup from a Faust player's perspective: In blockstrings, after IBing 6H, 6P beats: -Bandit Bringer (doesn't need IB) -Bandit Revolver (trades without IB) -Against gunflame feint fafnir, the 6P recovers in time to block or mash super (IB makes it easier) -Against gunflame, it loses *5P beats all of the options listed above sans Bandit Bringer on regular block, and recovers in time to block bandit bringer after a IB 6H -IBing 2S gives a one frame 5P>2D punish if they go for 2S 6H -Crawling beats bandit bringer and bandit revolver and jump-ins. It's a necessity. -Air to air is the best way to beat divekick. -171 loses to sweep (?) *Needs further testing Conclusion: On defense, try to feel out the opponent's flowchart by blocking and using 5P and then counter with the appropriate response. Do not block for too long. If needed, you can scam a knockdown and/or a super to turn the tides.

A few notes I have for this matchup from a Faust player's perspective: -Slide into 5S loses to: -5P and 5K on regular block -2S/cS on instant block -Slide into 2S loses to: -5P on regular block -2S/cS on IB -Slide into 2K loses to: -Low blitz and super on regular block -cS and 5P on IB. Trades with 2S on IB. -Slide into delayed DP loses to: -Jump back drill (not instant). Conclusion: Best option is to IB and mash S. If you are afraid of the DP option, IBing the slide and doing jump back drill gives a minimal punish in most situations. -In neutral favor 2HS and scalpull over fS.

  5. I think I played your Faust online yesterday. You're very good at doing FDC but I think you rushdown a little too much.
  6. I play this MU very regularly and I don't think it is very difficult. HS button is very helpful as Pot can not really contest 2HS, 5HS beats hammerfall, jHS can shut down a lot of forward movement. I like to throw the bomb bag a little in front of Pot to halt any movement as well as not allowing it to get flicked. On defense just remember to mix things up. Blitz the safejump sometimes, backdash sometimes, etc... Keep him guessing when he is on offense until you find your way out. Make sure your meaties are on point so you don't get hit with backdash>pot buster, and rush him down if you get the chance.

  8. What are some good frametraps? I seem to get mashed out of a lot of my pressure. I also need to work on using sweep more, when would you guys recommend throwing it out?
  9. IMO sitting fullscreen is not ideal in this matchup. She can make you block a lot and then approach safely and make you hold her jA/5A/throw mixup. You can bully her quite effectively in 5B range so there is no reason to not try to be there instead of fullscreen.
  10. Don't lazily 2B him or mash items or else you will eat a very damaging 2D (I think that's the move). Air to air jC is very nice. To get out of the standard ziodyne unblockable, tech in the air and SB or B bearecrew.
  11. Watch out for run up 2B. Aki players have to be nutty to win this mu. As long as you don't fall into patterns you can zone him out quite effectively.
  12. I have recently gotten to play multiple sets with a good Yukari player and have some footing on the matchup now. Stay in 5B range as it really blows her up. Once the Yukari player feels the need to yomi roll or jump it, you're in business and can start being more aggressive. This is a super momentum based matched, she does not have anything outside of DP to mash in pressure so she has to block a lot. Staggering 5AA and 2A with blocks is very effective. Throw a random 2C to keep her honest. If you let her breathe, she will set up her zoning and you will be forced to play her game so try to bully her in 5B range. Her setplay is really cheap too but she doesn't have too many ways/chances to open you up in pressure, so be content with blocking.

  14. I can't play you because I don't have a monitor at the moment; but whenever I feel like I'm stuck in a rut with a FG, I usually take a break for a week or two and find that I play a lot better when I come back.
  15. Something for me to conisder in this MU then. Although I would favor okizeme against other chars in most situations.
