There's actually a pretty decent Smash scene in New Orleans if you check the Louisiana matchmaking section at smashboards.com. As far as GG though, most of the people who used to play in New Orleans aren't playing much anymore, and I barely play due to not having cash to ride out and meet up with people, since without a ride or a place to meet up it really is hard to have gatherings for just one game here. Man, I didn't think I'd hear from you again Shannon! I tried calling you around the time of the tournament, but it seems you didn't make it. Only Kobe, two Baton Rouge players, one from Tennessee (!) and 3 Houston players outside of me entered, so it was an 8 man tournament. Mechacon's a Louisiana anime con in Lafayette on August 1-3. Since it's so close, there isn't much of an excuse not to come. Since Kobe's definitely going, I need to finalize plans on people going and stuff, we need to know how many people we're stuffing in that room.

See, the thing is that HOW to get to the gatherings is always the problem. Even with PZ, all those guys have to be able to drive or get rides there. And Houston is huger than xbox. If you can manage a place on the westbank where a lot of people would show up all the time, then I'd support it 100%. I can barely wrap my schedule around people anymore with everything going on, it wasn't like last year where I had less responsibilities and people that I wanted to hang out with. Still, I'll see what I can do about next week and freeing up one day.
