1. Comboes you train in training mode with a dummy set on recovery back or front, and you get matchup experience via players. You might have to go out of your way to find people if you can't find anyone in your area (you should check the matchup forums in your area) 2. My favourite is testament.Record it using throw--->dash in 214HS.Another string you can try is 5K 5S© 5HS 41236HS (Forward EXE Beast). You're supposed to AG the beast.

Next thing you know,he stabs a person for looking at him...it's happened before in Toronto...won't be surprised if it happens again. Edit: On second thought,I think he was literally aiming the stuff at me...because I looked back at him several times and I'm pretty sure I had my smiling face on because I'm used to smiling whenever I'm not in a bad mood. Then it turned to this and then turned into this afterwards .Then Sonia decided to join me and also did .

Quick shoutouts: Team Anime North- GG guys.Keep working on it.I may not sandbag you at AN this year and get first. Team Sensei & Student Fail- Keep working on that Anji Leo, it might not be as good as random 720 tagers but it's something when you succeed with him. Team Carry me Nazir!- GG nazir.Got nothing to say to Wu since he was being carried in two games(even Sonia did more with that 5a 5a 720C that I saw).Well, maybe I do...and that's "Spam moar puffballs." Team Robo- Good job guys.Too bad there were 3 slayers in the tournament waiting to thrash on you.And Pui should've let me iron manned BB for free. Team Loli and Slut- F*** May.End of comment.Good stuff finishing first. But seriously...F*** May.Did I mention F*** May? Team T & T- Good game guys. Noticed Tony had an urgent call or something so I suppose I didn't win completely against him. Team F*** May- Good stuff Justin. Too bad you got punished for that trolling you attempted. Most random moment of the night- A random guy screaming and yelling at my general direction after we got Justin off from playing that fishing game. It was weird and confusing.

Uhhh...you can autoguard as long as her notes aren't in the way.Fuujin through notes (non-low level) is also heavily advised as it really hinders whatever offense she has.Her pressure strings can sometimes end in that low dash animation attack thingamajig (too lazy to look it up,but I think it's 63214S) and you'll eat shitloads of damage with oki. However,if she catches you blocking during her dash, you're in a world of guessing games. It can go High Low,High High,High High Low,High High High,or any of the previously mentioned mixed in with a throw. So keep guessing, the odds are, you'll get hit. However, this matchup isn't THAT bad. We're probably making it sound worse than it actually is but 5P/6P also gives Ino troubles.Just watch out for those damn random far range K chemical loves so you don't give her a free oki.

Lovegety Fiending : GGAC | BBCS [3/6/2010] - Results
Dawnbringer replied to X-Sapphire's topic in Tournament Results
You know.I think I hate going to Getty.I faced all 3 3-7 counterpicks all night as Anji.2 Baikens,2 Mays,And an axl to top it off in casuals. Why can't you all be like Pui and play Anji vs Anji?He did mental damage taking my colour too.I'm getting tired of getting wtfpwned by random May 2 Scoops of Raisin Bran trying to chase her down and eating random 5HS BS Counters. K2,I respect you as a player but FUCK your loli.Same goes for Mihai. -
None of them Gatlings into 3P.But 2P recovers fast enough to make it look like a gatling. The only thing that would go smoothly into 3P is 5K.

Respect is 6+"Taunt"(It says respect when you're mapping your buttons. It's the start button when playing at the arcade).

Accent Core Anji Mito Video Discussions Thread

Yes-Anji forum's dead.Nobody really wants to use his low tier crap anymore because it's much more easier to win with other characters, even if you suck at them compared to Anji. Sure,my Anji's pretty solid lately, but it sure as hell feels easier to win with other characters against friends who have played me since I started. You earn respect winning as Anji more so than other characters though, since you have to step it up a few more notches above them to be able to win.

1.Too much HS Fuujin. This is already a problem.HS Fuujin should be a threatening move, not a "spam it" move. 2.Your Fuujin stance followups are repetitive: With tension = FB Rin. Without Tension = Normal Rin/K Hop. All of these are easily reacted to when you're up against a decent human player with good reactions. 3.No combos into On.When you land HS Fuujin Rin,you want to end it in On,not HS Fuujin FB Rin x N. 4.The correct unblockable setup: FB Shitsu--->Dash 5K(5S is better for some other characters)--->2S(unblockable) ---> 5HS ---> Fuujin ---> Nagiha. 5.2D into S Fuujin into FB Rin only works if you CH on heavy characters. 6.When fighting potemkin, you do NOT stand next to him on oki. That's asking for a potbuster against a human player. 7.You need to play against human players. You probably will have to travel a bit for that. 8.Work on combos that go into On.A simple BnB for that is 5K->5S->5HS->HS Fuujin->FB Rin->Dash in->5K->5S->On.Landing On is really key in Anji's game because that's his best shitsu setup. He has the best risk vs reward in this setup. 9.Work on everything accordingly.Anji is a balanced character with a lot of versatility,so you'll need to use all his tools effectively if you want to win.He won't win if you just learn his combos or just his FRCs.You need everything unlike Eddie(which you can start winning when you learn his combos and unblockable setups). This is the reason why ANG(the best technical Anji) struggles to win against reputed Japanese players while Domi and Limekey pull out amazing victories(ie: Limekey OCV in SBO semifinals of 08). My turn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzHeEVs6LLE These are videos of me playing recently(just keep looking for team sellout).Too bad singles weren't recorded this year seeing as how I finished 4th out of ~16 entrants.Comments and advice are greatly needed to improve my Anji.I'm open to all criticism.

It's not really that Anji's overall nerf being less fun. It's just that it seems like everyone was tuned up a few notches above Anji.Sure,Anji is at his prime (he's a little better than when he was in Slash, just a little because of all the nerf stick beatings he took),but when you look at characters like Eddie's,Testament's,and Potemkin's upgrade,Anji's nerfs really stick out.The unblockable is there, but it can be avoided unlike Eddie's. Yes,Slash Anji is EFFORTLESS because of 6HS spam. However, his damage output for knockdowns was a lot better because he had SJ knockdown combos ending with the orb, which we no longer have in AC.That's a big nerf on Anji on top of removing/nerfing his 5HS/6HS autoguards, not to mention shitsu not being as rewarding now because of the slower recovery. If anything,it decreased his options, pressures and mixup game.Where as Testament getting a ridiculous HS forward beast,Eddie getting ridiculous unblockable setups, and potemkin just getting a FRC after potbuster.Everyone else was also tuned up (cept for Ky and Sol,which were both definitely nerfed but like Anji, given new tools...only that they were top tier anyhow in Slash).

It took even longer to get over the lack of frame advantage moves that actually help.I can only think of 2 off the top of my head and that's 2k(pushes really far away) and P stomp (which gives like next to nothing for frame advantage really...+1~3 was it?). I think the only thing Anji has over other characters is his versatility. He's basically a Jack of All Trades. He can do a little of zoning(he does have decent poking range),pressure(to a certain extent with butterflies),rushdown(Fuujin strings),counter(autoguards, psychic ability preferred and there's always HS Fuujin). He has tools for every fight, though some worst than others(ie: Axl). The matchups might be hard, but they're not next to a 70% lose situation (it just seems like it).Of course, that's mostly due to anticipation skills.Heck,I think Anji is basically 6.5-3.5 at worst now.But he definitely doesn't have any real good matchups still(well, maybe Chipp since he's so fragile and Anji's 5 guts make him hard to finish for a Chipp). All in all,Anji's just a balanced character that's outclassed by everyone else.He can't combo as hard as Slayer,he can't do big unblockable damage like Eddie(nor are his mix-ups that crazy,he can't even compare to I-No or even Ky for mixups since his overhead damage is pathetic like that),he can't zone as efficiently as Testament,he can't rushdown like Order Sol,he can't pressure like a Venom,he can't b!tch counter like Baiken(or even Testament's warrant in terms of reward),he doesn't have crazy potential gimmicks like Bridget nor the maneuverability of Bridget. So...that's why Anji's NOT awesome. But he's the only topless person in the entire cast, and that makes him more awesome than Johnny.Note that he also uses fans to slap people and that's always a bonus. He's just that cool. Edit: 5P is +3~4 frame advantage.Too bad it's only consistent against Potemkin since crouching characters can just punish you for using it.
-
You sure you aren't insulting the caterpie?
-
5P is used as a poke.Although it's not great because it doesn't hit crouching opponents (aside from potemkin),it's an EXCELLENT way to stop them from doing many non-crouching moves when you're both close and in neutral positioning. For example against Slayer,5P eliminates all his standing actions (including 2S,2HS,2D) when performed at the same time and can go into 5P,6K or 2D.The +3 frame advantage isn't really dominating, but it's something for Anji. And you should think of 5P as a move that disrupt someone's game plan rather than a move that counters stuff. In general,5P is only a good AA when positioned correctly and not out prioritized by strong moves such as Order Sol's jHS or Slayer jHS.In which case, your best solution is to simply instant block (or if you're daring, air throw them or autoguard that). 5S S-Fuujin Loop is generally just for flash since 5K 5S S-Fuujin is the safer version,however...you have to knock them down in the corner for this to be possible.Simply practice by doing anything that bounces them up and then start the loop with 5S S-Fuujin (ie 214p or FB Rin[Fuujin D extension]). The On loop is basically showing how comfortable you are with Anji and your technical skill since it's an exact 1-frame timing to IAD combo into another On (combo varies for different characters as you can see in Half Nakedness). I can't really help you on this one.All I can really say is that you have to be able to grasp Anji's timings. These things can't really be taught to you by someone else. You'll just have to get a "feel" for Anji's flow.
-
The answer is...HELL YES.Just because Anji's awesome like that.Sure,he's low tier and all,but he's still the cool guy that throws butterflies to rape you.
-
That works but generally only when you land the On before the 7th or 8th hit (depending on character, but I'm not exactly sure which number it is but it's just a general guess) and it's generally better to just throw a shitsu instead to start Anji's main risk and reward game. There's also the fact that you can reduce that into SJ jK tech airthrow into 5P (or 5K 5S) On.
-
Ok...although I did like ANG on AC's first year,I'm not so sure about him now.But it's not like he won that tournament...or did he?Besides, most of us know that his technical game is top notch...but that's not what wins against top players in Japan.Although he's still far above us...he's just overshadowed by the big 3 Anjis (Domi,Dry-Ace,Limekey).
-
Wrong character.This is sol badguy,not Order Sol...he has a Girlfriend,not a Gunblaze.
-
I never used the follow up overdrive FB.I didn't even mention it...but the CSE FB is to keep them blocking and it's sort of a string reset because after that ball hits,I think Ky has advantage?(It just seems like it,I never checked the frame data for Ky so I might be wrong). And I have done it btw,the follow-up is used as a round finisher move(and prevents burst).Any other uses of the move is a general waste of tension.
-
Well,I'd say you balance it out a little,so it limits his thinking time and preparation to get in.You don't want to overturtle as he'll eventually figure out what type of approach to break your defenses with. However,I do encourage you to be as aggressive as possible since Chipp has paper-thin defenses.Risk when there is a possible reward, but don't be foolish when he has punished the same thing twice. You may not exactly catch a Chipp too often though, but it's not a bad idea to try at times. Stay in the air as often as possible, seeing as how jK stuffs a lot of Chipp's aerials. When you anticipate an air teleport, the best possible outcome is you air throwing him (and it's not as hard as you think it is).
-
The string 6HS-->5HS-->CSE (Forcebreak) is being used as an oki string. If it's a meaty (which it'll most likely be),you're not going to be able to 2D or 6S.HS Fuujin is possible. The CSE Force Break comes out too fast for Anji to do anything about it,and it stays active long enough to shut down HS Fuujin. And yes...3/4 of Ky's strings typically include lows, but just watch out for the overheads...they'll come.
-
All he has to do is just block low entirely and then just (super)jump out after the CSE,or just jump airdash. If you're doing Vapor thrust after that, then he'll have to add in Faultless Defense to that jump and then he gets a free punish of whatever combo he desires.Hell,if he's daring,he can just autoguard 6HS(pretty easy to spot) and reverse the oki. There isn't anything to be afraid of if there's no mixup, just block. It's not like it's an Eddie string where he has 3 free mixups(well...technically 4 if he gives up the followups after the string). But the typical string I see with Ky is 5K 5S 5HS 2D or 5K (5S) 5D or something similar to that (there can be a tick throw as well). It's basic stuff but it works wonders until you want to get more creative.
-
If Anji's in the corner, the most common escape option he has is to just superjump out at the first opportunity given. The block string has to end sometime (unless it's Eddie).Anji has a lot of options to escape pressure.HS Fuujin grants the most reward, but is baited the most.Autoguards are much more safer IMO(but are harder to pull off).If it's a long blockstring,he can always just FD to push you back and punish the laggy moves you whiff because of the pushback from FD.You can show him in training mode by setting the computer to Normal block and then showing him the difference with Faultless Defense block.IE: Ky 6P 5S 6P 5HS. (The second 6P is optional)

You can't slashback on wake up.It doesn't allow you to,however you can AG instead.
