Finished the story yesterday generally it was really great, if not the best bb story as of yet. The main characters got to be very developed and there was much more involvment in the MAIN story by many side characters of the cast (with even fewer plot divice characters) The middle part was the hype (great buildup) but I felt like the climax (specificlly the final moment after the highlander) was a bit off (lol continuation cliffhanger) and rushed (the only really bad thing in the story). I hope we get some continuation/semi-conlcusion with bbcp2 and that the whole story is wrapped up as it has to in the next installment. Still, I dont get why some people tend to hate on the story? I find it amazing (surely not perfect but way more than anyone could ask for in a fighting game). There are two things (among others) that I didn't understand though so here goes: 1) Didn't Rachel send Ragna back to phase 0 (that is, the Six Heroes story) to essentially become Bloodedge? If so, we see that when Noel brings Ragna back, he is of course jacketless and unarmed (cause he has given his jacket and sword to past celica). Shouldn't Ragna's jacket and sword be lost forever then? I don't get how he got to have new ones by the next scene (or does he have like, a whole closet full of jackets and swords back at NOL headquarters?) 2) From what I understoo, Take-Mikazutchi needed 4 more years to fire another shot since CT, but the Imperator used Nu as it's core to charge it up. If so, when Ragna removed Nu from Take's core, how come it could still fire a shot capable of perhaps destroying amaterasu? I guess these are more of a clarification/understandment things that anything else thanks

BBCP2, Celica and Lambda Hype Thread
SixWingedAngel replied to mAc Chaos's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
Celica looks great in the video She's Mori's ultimate waifu after all What I don't like is her run/backdash animation. Looks like some kind of freakin racing car lol -
One sided lag is definately possible, I've confirmed it while playing with the people I usually play. I've also seen opponents confirm and execute crazy combos while I couldn't even airdash/run from the lag, let alone do any kind of comboing.

BBCP2, Celica and Lambda Hype Thread
SixWingedAngel replied to mAc Chaos's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
Man, jubei better be at least as hyperific as azrael when he is introduced as playable, lol On another note I'm extremely hyped about Celica! I liked her since the phase 0 manga and I've been waiting for her since BBCP came out! Definately gonna at least sub, if not main her. Lambda now, I'm not sure. I don't like the fact that the sprite looks exactly the same and I don't like it story-wise too. I mean, I liked her but, does anyone actually stay dead in this game? D: -
Easy match up, read his chain movements and hit him with a j5C in the face -> j2c knockdown -> he's pretty much dead.
-
when people play with characters that dont have it so bad if it's laggy (jin, noel, ect) and when lag seems to be one sided
-
ken actually looks kinda cool and the koromaru addition is the best choice they could make! Now only one thing remains, [femc/theodore] the possible future looks bright!

[CP] Bang Combo Discussion and Posting Thread
SixWingedAngel replied to superscience890's topic in Archive
Does anybody know any mix up that one can use in relation to the FRKZ command grab reset combo? (5C -> frkz -> 5B -> 5D -> 6D -> 2d -> j.5D -> 2C -> 5D -> 236236D) If the opponent doesn't tech he can of course break the throw: I wonder if there any funky reset/blue combo thing that we can do if he doesn't tech to make it a mix up or so (though I think I'm asking for too much ) thanks -
I seriously hope this is legit and can't wait till I start learning it and daifunka every auto-piloting masher's arse ever :P
-
You're quite right actually, it could be used symbolically too (see kill la kill for a great use of scale break). The main problem with that scene though, was the wierd/wrong perspective. it's really nothing to bother with though (not terrible), I'm just a hakumen fag and want all his scenes to be perfect :P
-
thanks for posting the changes! if they fix the direction/art of the tsubaki suicide attempt scene, I feel like this might end up being an anime, lol I wonder if there were any changes to Hakumen (2nd episode). I remember of a scene where he looked like he was some kind of freakin giant

ArcSys Voice Acting [This thread has rules now]
SixWingedAngel replied to SoWL's topic in Zepp Museum
Indeed. I think she's even better in japanese though. This seriousness in noel's voice and lines vs terumi paired with a fitting music is total gold. Fav in-game lines for sure. -
Question because I can't really test it outright now: Can I reset pressure with a minidash 5a after 2C on block or should I be close enough to not be needing a minidash? What does the minidash (smallest possible) amount to in terms of frames/disadvantage? thanks

in bakuman you can even see the eyes through sides of the glasses http://lurei.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/bakuman-s2-ep-21-3.jpg it's done because the eye a very expressive and defining feature of the face (you can usually see eyes as the focus of attention in photography/cinema), and in the medium that is anime, this epressive and defining power is needed more than anything. Hense the small artistic allowance.

To me they are both valid each in their own continuity (anime/games) and they can all count as canon due to the flexibility of the parallel universes coming with the continuum shift possibilities thing. It's as simple as it can get. Not to mention that the lambda/ragna interaction is one of the instances that is handled much, much better in the anime (game scene were ragna is angry at terumi because of Λ's death seems completely forced).

One of the many possibilities of the Continuum Shift

Lol, can't say that I enjoyed watching Lambda agonise helplessly but it was definately one of the very impactful moments of bbcs. Uncomfortably impactful. that I'm pretty sure they can cram it all successfully in one episode if they want to. 24 minutes is actually a very sufficient timeframe which most anime abuse by stretching scenes. With correct pacing, I've seen episodes managing to pack a surprisingly big amount of content (the latest season of hajime no ippo is a good example). I think though, that the last chance for the hakumen scene to happen would be the next episode unless they decide to stuff it in another way (which wouldn't be surprising). okay ragna players are a bit creepy :P yeah, those bits at the start of her story, not actually torture, but surely as hell torturing, lol
-
Art for this episode was pretty decent, some peeps should stop doing what can be done in like, every animated series ever, because it gets tiring after a while. On another note, why do they seem to be omiting the lambda torture scenes? Those were like, the best scenes of her story and maybe the strongest sympathysing Λ factor. I guess they can get away with it, but if they omit the Hakumen/Tsubaki scene, well I'm gonna tableflip.
-
I think it's more of a combo pacing thingy, after the 66~ you can't input the 6C/5C/w/e in advance, you have to input it at the right time *after* the dash (more of a 666C thingy, like you say). It's a bit tricky to find out at the beginning but once you get the gist of it it'll be no problem

Judging by the horrible scene where noel just stands there and shoots down the random mobs that appear on the way to kagutsuchi, no, they didn't learn siet, lol.
