  1. Aw yes! Another Tsubaki player! I plan on bringing her to tournaments, just after I get a little more experience. But firstly, I need to show up to Ignite for some local practice. Is 10$ really all I need?

Have a few examples: 1. 6A > 5CC > 6BB > 214B > 5C > 2CC > air dash> j.5CC > 5C > 2C > 236B > 214B > 22B 2. 6A > 5CC > 6BB > 214D > 2CC > air dash> 5C > 2CC > j.5C > jump cancel > j.5CC > 214A Basically, I get caught on the air dash every time. Not as easy as it was on CSE. Question is what am I doing wrong that makes it whiff?
  3. I was actually referring to her staple air dash combo, which I forgot the inputs for right now but it relies on 2C. Which for me either whiffs, or when I dash in midair, my opponent will be too far away. Was much easier to pull of in CSE.
  4. So after a 3 month leave, I finally have CP again and I just ran into a serious problem. I can't seem to pull off any dash cancel 5C/2C combos. Mind you, I've been playing Extend as of late, so basically I'm learning how to walk again.

  7. I see, I suppose both situational advantage (oki) is a better route than damage. Alright then, I figured as much, but just had to confirm. Also, her move names (albeit confusing) are totally not lame!
  8. Two questions: 1. I'm going to hate myself for asking this one, but why does almost everyone end their air combos with just Flux? Is using Eulaysion and then Flux not practical anymore? I personally think it looks cooler, but I guess practicality > style. 2. While scouring YouTube for Tsubaki combos (practical and swag) I noticed one combo I found very cool that I've seen no one use.   9. Back again, this time about a good zoning sub. I figure I'd like a zoning character in my ranks, but was kind of unsure about choosing Nu or Mu. Both zoning characters, with very different zoning mechanics. My main question is, who's better it? A less important question would be who do people use less and why?

  11. Ah.. I'm assuming you mean her staple air dash combo. Good times, I remember trying to land this one myself. So basically, after you air dash, pause for like a second before you do j.5C, this may be your problem.

  13. So, now that BBCP has been confirmed to be in EVO, who's coming to represent Chicago? I have travel set up almost indefinitely, but I need to know how much EVO tickets go for. This will be my first one, so I hope I'm ready.
  14. ChosenNinja, switching Noel for Mu? This I can't wait to see.. UFGTX is looking interesting already. In any case, tiers and difficulty in my opinion mean nothing. You're better off just picking a character who you'll have fun with, that's what really matters in the end.
  15. Hm.. Tsubaki was my first main, and yeah, when fighting someone on your skill level, things are not easy for you at all. When fighting someone above your skill level, you may even feel frustrated. Buy that's why I liked her, no matter what your skill level you were always forced to work for the win. She's easy to pick up, but hard to master, and I've always liked that kind of character. As for your friend, maybe he had some bad experiences with a Tsubaki player?
  16. Does anyone else suddenly suck using Tsubaki while playing a mirror? Just me?
  17. 3C can't punish DP's? I use it all the time on a Ragna and Jin. Don't see why Iza would be different, unless she had better recovery.
  18. Absent minded thought, but be sure to punish any whiffed DP's that Izayoi throws out with 3CC, or whatever you fancy. Just make sure she knows that she shouldn't throw it out recklessly.
  19. I'm really not sure what we could do, in the event that we do block it, she can just as easily teleport cancel away from us. Being the scrub that I am, I'd probably just Flux Iterna her and pray that it hits. ;_;
  20. Um.. I don't have much to say considering I'm not too familiar with this match up. But from my few encounters, I can tell that the advantage of each match is determined by who has the most of their respective drive gauge. So, let me lay out the good and bad here: Pros: Justice Stars are only gained when Izayoi hits you with one of her command moves. Meaning, if you stay back and dodge projectiles, Iza has no chance of getting stars. Izayoi doesn't have a reliable way of getting out of pressure, without meter. Her teleports are unsafe (except D version), and Justice Phorizer isn't too bad to avoid if you see she has the meter for it, so hammer away! Using [4]6D>236D here is very greatly to our advantage, and perhaps even our best friend when Izayoi is consistently spamming Sonic Saber. Cons: When Izayoi does have stock, things can get a bit hectic. Her D teleport is our worst nightmare here, being able to warp behind us and serve justice. It's important to watch what your doing, so you don't get grabbed from behind at neutral or further away. When Izayoi does have stars, spacing with j.236a orbs or [4]6D really isn't a great idea, for the same reason as mentioned above. Approaching Izayoi no matter what form she is in can also prove to be a challenge as well. At neutral, she can freely spam Sonic Saber, and if you try to close distance with an air dash, be prepared to get DP'd right out of the air. Her damage potential in GA mode is really scary here. A few GA combos and a DP here and there and we're finished. (Although we have the same amount of health, her damage even in normal mode is solid) Watch your block strings here, one unsafe move and Justice Phorizer will be there to remind you who's the true deliverer of Justice. Now, how you choose to handle things once the round begins is up to you. I personally just back away and get some charge before she can try to hit me. Once I'm maxed out, I begin my approach. In the event that she goes into OD mode for some quick stars, it may be in your best interest to do the same. In conclusion, things can be pretty rough for us here when Izayoi has stars, the key here is to not even give her the chance to get any! On a side note, can anyone tell me which is better in terms of damage, Mugen or Trans-Arm? Fighting ourself is difficult indeed..
  21. Due to the update that CP is getting, any presumptions of what the new input for Tsubaki's command grab will be? I personally disliked the 63214 input, it felt out of place in my opinion.
  22. I'll try and make this short, since I hate long text walls. Basically, I bought CT back in early 2012 for the platinum trophy. Was hype as shit to play Hakumen, but as I'm sure all the noobs figured out, he ain't as pretty to play as he looks. So unsurprisingly, I didn't have a main for that game. I just zoomed by for the platinum trophy. Fast forward a year later to the summer of 13, and I finally buy CS. I pick Tsubaki out of curiosity, and when I realized you could do her attacks multiple times in succession, I was sold. Dedicated 8 months into learning her, and haven't looked back since. I was never a hardcore fighting gamer before, but she turned me into one.

  24. After extensive research, I found a supposedly good looking PS2 converter called "iNPiN" (sold on ettoki.com). I've never heard if any if these two in my life, until I checked Dustloop's wiki (your information rocks). I assume they can be trusted?
  25. Back again, have two requests to make if it's not too much trouble. I'd like Tsubaki in her color 14 palette, and Mu 12 in her color 8 palette, both character select artwork please. Thank you. :D To clarify, I mean CP artwork.
