I was going to choose aggressive, but I "Felt in your face" described Tsubaki to a tee. Zoning would be my second favorite.

Yeah, those third party pads look trashy. Thought that'd be my best bet, but are there even reliable PS2 pad sellers now?
-
Another thing just came to me, I hate it when a person tries to use time to their advantage via Ice Sword spam, optic barrel whatever. They then proceed to run away and use whatever long range capabilities they have in an effort to win by time up. I don't have a problem with that, I often use j.236a orbs in the same manner. My problem is when they act butthurt after losing, while using their "foolproof" strategy. I even had a guy send me hate mail for not running into his projectiles and pursuing him. Seriously, you knew the risks of playing tag, so why be mad?

Small predicament I'm in. I plan on attending my first big tournament at the end of May, and I'd like to play on my standard PS3 pad (since I'm at my best when I use it.) The problem being, there's a rule that states that it must be connected with a USB, and not work when disconnected from the PS3. Is there any way to do this with my pad now, or is there a pad I can buy that can also do this? My other options would be learning how to use my stick now (Highly doubt 3 months is enough) or buy a PS2 pad and buy a cable to make it PS3 compatible. Any other suggestions or recommendations?

Which is exactly why I'm not surprised she was released in the state that she is. Seriously, does ASW not have testers for these kinds of things?

As the post above me gives an excellent example, shit happens. I try to be as courteous as I can about it, therefore I at least hope my opponent would give me a warning that their back.

Q&A about Joystick Building, Parts, and Purchasing
Monarch replied to mr.mortified's topic in Hardware
Holding back on my purchase for a Fighting Edge, I'd like to know, is it comfortable? I need a Fightstick that is made with excellent parts, is comfortable, and I can design it easily. Although not quite sure how I'll do the last step, but I digress, any suggestions? Not too picky on price, but I've learned you get what you pay for. (Damn you Hori V3) -
You just reminded me. I also hate it when a person goes AFK in the middle of a round, then comes back with 5 seconds on the timer and punches you. They then proceed to run away and secure victory. Doesn't matter that much since I'll body them out of anger the next round, but nonetheless still annoying. Come to think of it.. I'm not the only one who waits for my opponent to come back, right?
-
This may be an odd one, but.. - People who skip your win animation as fast as possible after you win a round, but let theirs play out entirely if they win one. Out of courtesy, I never skip others, so it kind of irks me when they don't extend the same. Then again, I have to remind myself, etiquette online is near non-existent.

I've never understood why she was such a hot topic, I mean let's be honest for a moment. She's been around since CT (which came out in 2009), now after so long, she finally gets a spotlight. Did people really think she would be balanced, or even remotely fair?

Don't know if anyone here still plays CSE.. but I'd love a match against anyone.

Q&A about Joystick Building, Parts, and Purchasing

Can anyone recommend a Hori Fighting Edge, I'm a bit skeptical about the Hayabusa and Kuro parts. Also, is there a reason why all of the black versions are either out of stock or unavailable? -
I'd like to know her advantages and disadvantages, what exactly I'm giving up. Tsubaki's flexible pressure, or Mu 12s godly damage and laser fortress?
-
Contemplating trading in Tsubaki as my main for Mu 12. I love the concept of her play style, and I find her combos quite easy to pull off. Can anyone recommend, or should I just sub her?
-
Made an error, my sub is ยต12. Also, any events coming up?

My name is Frost Monarch, but you can call me Frosty. I'm pretty sure we're all acquainted by now with freezing temperatures, so... I really only play the BB series and I'm starting to learn about GG. Although I either owned most of the popular games or I do but don't play them as much. In Blazblue, I main Tsubaki and sub Izayoi. In Guilty Gear, I only use Testament. My team for TTT2 would be Lars and Alisa. In SF4, I main Juri alone. My team for UMVC3 also consists of Jill, Chris, and Wesker. For AH3, I only main the awesome sauceness that is Kamui. Oh, how could I forget P4A? I main Mitsuru in there. Now to tell you a little about the person behind the name. My name is Kyran, and I am 15 years old. I was born and I currently live in Chicago, and I'm trying my best to find tournaments in the city. I recently just purchased a Fightstick for the sole reason of participating in a tournament. My driving conditions are finicky as of late, but hopefully I may get my drivers license this year and it won't become a problem for me. To conclude, anyone can add my PSN ID if they'd like a round of Blazblue.

Despite all the odds against us in this MU, I really love playing it. There's nothing more rewarding than baiting a DP and punishing it. Still, I have a question. What's a good strategy for keeping Mu in the corner? Any reliable/safe oki she can't DP out of?

I have since resolved my problem with inputting it in D-Pad. Now that I'm using a Fight Stick, I find that specific command to be pretty easy to execute now.
-
Because there are 4 main attack buttons, leaving me only two more for advanced things such as grab, barrier guarding, etc. I shouldn't have to choose between them. I'm no tech genius, so I'm not sure I want to play around with this. Plus, I heard this stick requires soldering to mod.

Hi there, I have a question. Against my negative thoughts, I bought a stick to play Blazblue. Keep in mind, I've never been to an arcade before, so I've played pad all my life. So recently, I bought this stick from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Fighting-Stick-V3-Playstation-3/dp/B0057WDBHA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1388773044&sr=8-5&keywords=Fightstick It wasn't until I obtained the stick did I realize I made a fatal mistake, it only has six buttons compared to eight. Don't get me wrong, the stick is nice quality, but it's obvious I'm going to have to buy another one this year. Can anyone give me a recommendation? All the ones I've seen so far are outdated. Side Note: The main thing stopping me from using stick is dashing and movement. Dpad was great for that, how do you stick players do it?

I'm shocked Kuresu defeated Konan. In my personal opinion, I found Konan to be a bit stronger and subtle in terms of offense and mix-up game. In all honesty, I was rooting for Kuresu to make the second round comeback, I just wasn't expecting him to actually pull it off. I'd love to see a rematch between these two.

I have a question regarding Tsubaki's command for her Astral and Blade Super. (632146 C or B ) I'm trying to get familiar with using her Astral in real time combat more often (after a mid air grab or 22D) but I can't seem to nail this command with an analog stick. It works 50/50 most of the time, any tips? (Trouble nailing only on the left side of screen)

That freeze frame awesomeness tho. Arigatou, Tong-Sama! ^_^
-
If I may, I'd like to request a gif. I hope this isn't too complicated, if so, please tell me. I'd like to have 1:13 to 1:15 of this video as a gif. (The entire part of Noel and Tsubaki clashing, and then the freeze frame) http://youtu.be/Ay5xGrGtxqc Thank you!
