I think they're paranoid about making Hakumen suck again lol. All this is going to do is make people pop unit cookiedough faster. Like the Azrael change though, that's pretty awesome.

It's sad but true that there are always instances in fighters where you have a char that does similar things to another but just not as good (like Iron Man and Magneto in Marvel). Normal Sho will probably not be as good as Persona Sho but I don't think he's going to suck.

They mentioned something about Kokonoe's combos decaying harder too. As in, her combos will drop and push her back further if you use the same move more than once. Y'know, like the rest of the cast had lol.

Well, they aren't. They're stubby and don't do him many favors but I guess they could be a lot worse.

Kokonoe zoning? Are we playing the same game? I guess aggressive since Relius is primarily a pressure character.

So since they clarified that the Vita version will be able to be updated with the arcade, what does that mean for the PS3 version? Will it just get a update patch like console CS->CS2?

The game isn't being location tested or anything, it's actually out and is being played by tourney players. Just because we don't have it yet doesn't mean the game isn't "out" and set in stone for now.

I gotta say I'm loving the rise in popularity that Persona Sho has gotten. He's really satisfying to watch, especially when players like DIE-Chan are capitalizing on these nice reads and confirming into frightening damage from a screen away. This character looks like a lot of fun to me.

IMO the fun comes from the learning experiencing because there sure as shit isn't any fun in fighting laggers who don't know how to play and effortlessly stomping them. That leads me to an actual pet peeve of mine which is people who pull the "playing for fun" card and then call anyone better than them a no life loser virgin or whatever stupid bullshit.

You're absolutely correct with all of that. ST Akuma is an awful comparison because that motherfucker can't even be stunned, the only way Koko would be on his level was if she had infinite overdrive and barrier or some stupid shit like that. Like you said I think Arcsys is trying to give it time (probably another full year if I had to guess) before they make their decision and unleash her upon the arcade version. If we get a balance update I'd imagine it would be at the very least not until the one year anniversary of console launch which would be two years after the arcade launch anyway, that's pretty obviously enough time to gauge what they need to do. EDIT: For the record I'm not trying to defend the character's stupidity, I'm just saying that Arcsys are probably waiting as opposed to making such a serious decision so early.

If you like Kokonoe just use her. Yes she's stupidly good but I don't see what's wrong with that since you mained Hazama a game ago and he was stupid good too. But you said you're not a fan of resets or not having a meterless reversal so I dunno. I think Ragna or Terumi might be for you but Terumi lacks a meterless reversal. Then again getting meter isn't exactly an issue for him.

Hello all. I'm new to DL and don't really see myself posting much outside of the character subforums but who knows. Apologies if this is common knowledge by now, but I was messing around in training mode and I found something I thought was sort of interesting. So do this corner combo blahblah, 22C 2C 5C 3C 6D 236D and you should notice that 236D restands them meaning you can't properly cancel into anything. So I got to thinking would it be worth cancelling into the counter distortion? The move isn't generally regarded as good, but I can see at least one unsuspecting player seeing that they're restanding and trying to disrespect or punish Terumi now that they're back on neutral and maybe it will work? I guess they'd have to not know about this at all or they can see it coming cause AFAIK Terumi's counter is pretty ass.
