  6. There's a lot going on in Connecticut nowadays, so perhaps I'll finally decide on how to format the topic titles. Anyway, GGXrd is the ArcSys flavor of choice at Resistance 4, so don't miss out on this awesome event! The bracket will be run by yours truly, so direct all questions, concerns, and complaints accordingly. The following information was taken from the SRK thread: "New Challengers returns with the 4th installment of its succesful Resistance Tournament Series! 7. Word on the social media is that a BBCP or UNIEL side tournament is going down. If you're interested in the other side of ArcSys, don't feel alienated. We welcome all mashers.
  8. Hello! Every month or so, Hall of Gaming in Wallingford, CT hosts fighting game tournaments for Xrd, SFIV, and UMvC3. As the predominant interest for the past three events has been with Xrd, I wish to extend the invite to all that are able to attend! The next event is this Saturday, April 11, starting at 5:00pm. Address: 220 North Colony Street Suite B, Wallingford, CT 06492 Facebook event page Rules/Regulations: GUILTY GEAR Xrd Game version: PlayStation 3 Game Settings: Versus Mode, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select. If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be training stage. Galactus is banned in tournament play (Except for me) No multiple characters are allowed on the same team.
  9. Next Hall of Gaming event is April 11th! (https://www.facebook.com/events/1628621374025604/) I'll also be at Anime Boston this weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting/seeing/playing everyone! However, I'm not looking to bring a setup this year, so I am at the whims of the game room.
  10. Hello all, I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone who made it out to Hall of Gaming last night! The only tournament that had enough people to be run was Xrd (again), so that's a good thing. But keep in mind that as long as there are enough people (read: 4 or more), a tournament will be run! So if people want to play UNIEL, BB, whatever, please don't hesitate to join! The next event should be about a month from now, the exact date will come whenever the Facebook event page is created.
  11. Hilda and a rather absent-minded Yuzuriha. Also to everyone, yes, please bring PS3 (or PS4?) consoles with your game of choice to Hall of Gaming on Saturday. They have four 19" Asus monitors available connected to Xbox 360's, but I can't guarantee that the monitors will be available since this is also an event for SFIV and UMvC3. So, while it's not entirely necessary to bring a monitor, it would be a safe bet to do so.
  12. You know, I was coming on here to remind everyone about Hall of Gaming tomorrow next week, but Vyers already did that. Thanks Vyers! Anyway, I will be attending Hall of Gaming in Wallingford tomorrow March 7th. Will play Xrd, UNIEL, and BBCP willingly. Also for completion's sake and so no one is without games this weekend, there's also the "GU Video Game and Music Festival 2" happening this Sunday in Boston (https://www.facebook.com/events/1547268818892988). You must register online in the next ~40 minutes if you wish to enter any of their tournaments! The link to register is on the FB event page linked above.
  13. When I said it was a new thing, I meant ::very:: new. The first event was at the beginning of January, and was originally intended to be a USFIV and UMvC3 meetup. However, I showed up simply because myself and one other person (BSchloss) needed a place to meet up to play Xrd that was near his house. It wasn't until the second event that was held a few weeks ago where most people who showed up, showed up to play Xrd. In any case, if the turnout is similar to last time (8~ish people including myself), you will have plenty of people to play against. We ran a free tournament last time, so I see no reason why we couldn't do that again! I'd also like to note that the people who showed up also play BB and UNIEL, so given the interest I'm sure we can run a tournament for those games as well!
  14. Hello Lelouch! As Vyers has already introduced me, I feel it is most important to say that I do not play Amane or Merkava. However, it is equally important to note that I typically play most flavors of air-dashers, and typically end up traveling to venues that host them. As of now, Xrd seems to have the most active community, with support for UNIEL and BB sporadic at best. The only venues I'm currently aware of that have hosted these games in recent memory are as follows: Game Underground (1251 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA) - Friday Nights (Weekly) and Saturday (Monthly), USFIV, UMvC3, and anything else. -The seemingly most consistent gathering of people who play fighting games. While Capcom fighters are the mainstay, you can set up a meetup for GG, BB, and UNIEL and expect to get a few people. They also host special events. The Grid (52 Purnell Place, Manchester, CT) - Wednesday Nights (Weekly), USFIV and Xrd -Relatively small group, and the attendance varies due to it being a weeknight. Hall of Gaming (220 North Colony Road, Wallingford, CT) - Saturday Nights (Monthly), USFIV, UMVC3, and Xrd -A very new thing, as there have only been two events so far. Here is a link to the next event.(https://www.facebook.com/events/810657129001268/?ref_dashboard_filter=calendar) That's it as far as I know. You can definitely ask Synyster about GU, since I played BB and UNIEL with him at one of the monthly tournaments held on a Saturday. Also, as mentioned before, there is a tournament series called "Resistance" based in Stratford that also hosts air-dashers, but they have no set schedule, so the dates are random.
  15. I'm interested in BB for the November 1st tournament! I'll bring a setup as per usual.
  16. Hello! You should all go to GUTS III this month, as they will have GG/BB/P4U2/UNIEL, which is any flavor of anime that we care about. Facebook page Pre-register here! Also, I'll post up here the next time I'm going to a GU tournament. I don't always go to a GU tournament, but when I do, I ALWAYS bring a setup for GG/BB/UNIEL...No P4U2.
  17. Thank you to all who came out to support your respective games! The next one will be October 18th, so make sure to mark the date and look out for the next thread! 18. As of now, I have two monitors and one PS3, so I don't anticipate that we'll have time for GG simply due to a lack of setups. Post up if you're able to bring an Asus monitor, a PS3 with BB/GG/UNIEL, or both a monitor and a PS3.

  20. 'ello, just a friendly reminder that there is a BB/GG tournament hosted by New Challengers in Stratford, CT this coming Saturday (6/7)! It's going to be big...I mean literally, we're hosting in a hotel and conference center. There will also be live streaming, raffles, and...other things! Link!
  21. Hey nerds, just a heads up that there will be a GG/BB/other things tournament in Stratford, CT this coming Saturday (6/7). Come one, come all, come thither.
  22. Hey, back with a quick update. Project M has apparently been added to the lineup, with the Facebook event page here. At this point, this event is going to be huge. Remember to pre-register and pay the $10 venue fee in advance so you aren't paying $12 at the door! Also by pre-registering, you can sign up for games in advance and guarantee your spot!
  23. Hey, just to let people know, GGAC+R has been added to the list of games available for pre-registration!
  24. Nope, this is at the Stratford Hotel and Conference Center (225 Lordship Boulevard, Stratford, CT). The previous venue that we used was GamingEtc., which is quite literally right down the street. We'll actually have even more space at this venue, so this is a good thing.
  25. I also want to note that we'll need full setups for Blazblue, which includes both a PS3 and an Asus monitor. If you've pre-registered and are willing to bring either a PS3, a monitor, or both, please post either here or on the Facebook event page to let me know!
