  1. Can I get some tips on timing her 6D>j.C>j.D routes? Is there a trick to it, or is it just muscle memory?
  2. Has anyone figured out anything we can do off counterhit Hammer now? Aside from GF, everything drops after a couple hits. I get VTC>Hammer counterhits pretty often, but they just don't do much now.
  3. Has anyone figured out how delayed 6A is supposed to work now? His last challenge uses one, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the exact timing is supposed to be.
  4. The 6C/3C gatling changes will be a bitch to readjust too, but I'm cautiously optimistic about the new game. Hell, CPE Tager took me months to actually enjoy playing.
  5. 1. You typically need to get a 3C knockdown in a combo for GF to be useable. 2. Pretty much just have to get down that average timing on most combos for it, but some are really odd. 3. Standard BnB stuff is A>B>3C>GF/AC Whiff>stuff. Off of A starters you can only get two or three hits off a mag whiff, and much longer routes off of B and better starters. Just check the combo thread. 4. It's really just personal preference. On the PS3 I use a pretty crappy 3rd party pad that has the 360 stick position. 5. Just play really defensive. If you want to jump forward always barrier, don't even try to use Sledge, 2D, or J.C to advance since they're easy counter bait, and you can go for a max range magnetized 6A>6C to hit his 5D without the counter actually coming out. If your opponent tries to counter a lot, you just have to take some risks with lows and overheads, or just Buster. It's pretty much an incredibly aggravating test of patience if they properly use Haku's pokes to keep some distance.
  6. Why the hell is beginner mode, fuck giving people an ego boost calling it "stylish", allowed in ranked? Just ran into a guy with nearly 200 matches and 0 losses using beginner Kagura with his ridiculous one-button DP.
  7. After playing her a bit more, holy fuck her backdash is ridiculous. Out of GF is there anything other than maybe 2D that can catch it?
  8. It's incredibly infuriating.
  9. Slowest character, worst movement options, very heavily reliant on gimmicks, pretty poor anti-air options, absolutely horrendous matchups against zoners and characters like Ragna that can effectively zone him with long reach on their normals, etc. He's far from being as bad as he was early in the series, but he could certainly use some buffs or changes.
  10. As a Tager main since CT, I still assume top tier Tager is a load of shit. This is what, the third time the claim has been made early on? I fully expect him to drop back to mid or low once more people actually get their hands on the game.
  11. Good god, I am so damn tired of fighting Jin now. Hell, I'd even prefer the legions of launch Azrael and Terumi over this dull matchup.

  15. Was that just a distance issue, or does 5D wall splat at any range now? If so, that's gonna really suck to lose that Gadget whiff gimmick. Also, that j.2C combo was just a downgrade from what we have now. 50 meter and it did less than our current meterless no-mag options on fatal.
  16. 6A seems nice, but I'm hating everything else they've shown. So let me see if I got all this right, 6b is useless outside of combo fodder, 6c can't be followed up with A sledge if I saw that Celica fight correctly, AC is iffy, Hammer is abysmal, and our current combo routes are pretty much all dead. Did I miss anything?
  17. Is the combo timer after Gadget still super short though? Are we actually going to be able to do more than just GP and 2C>AC junk?
  18. Yay, VTC>Hammer went from a gimmicky read with pretty good payoff to... a gimmicky read with no payoff.
  19. I'm still not too optimistic about ODR. Seems like it's just going to end up punishing us for doing anything but buster gimmicks more than anything else. Sure, it will give us another potential come-back tool, but on offense we don't exactly have the safest normals as is.
  20. This matchup is pretty hopeless with our current backdash. Feels like all you can do is just block and hope the other guy fucks up. God forbid the guy decides to just mash 5a or j.a since those just wreck anything you try to get in with.
  21. Backdashing 5c is just asking to be hit with 5d>236d in most situations. In the corner our backdash is worthless against him.
  22. Yeah, I can't really complain about his damage when we can easily break 3k on any non-A confirm.
  23. The only thing broken about Terumi is his damn 6A hitting us crouching.
  24. You also forgot to mention the part where several characters had pretty safe blockstrings that could break multiple primers very easily. I remember Mu being able to break 2primers just with her charged Sword of Decimation.
  25. That video isn't doing his OD any favors. He made a normal whiff and just did a 360 when he landed. The best thing it has going for it is giving us a few more gimmicky 720 setups like 5A>5B>5C>6A>OD>5A>2B whiff>720, and giving us that little bit of extra oomph on MTW when we go for the kill. Just saving it to burst in emergencies is far better than actually using it in most situations.
