Examu has been tweeting out questions on their and the director's twitter, and the latest one even has English. If you ever wanted your voice heard here's you're chance. Considering the low number of english speakers who will realistically reply to these you might have an actual influence on what they think of foreign players. If the game sucks it might be your fault! How exciting! https://twitter.com/takaya_coucho/status/816517013958889472

The port plays great for me. Netcode is good. Someone with more experience with the game will be able to tell if there are issues with character behavior or stats. Some notes below: Play the game in 720 resolution- going up to 1080 causes a lot of aliasing on everything on the screen.Windowed mode only support 3 specific resolutions, maxing at 720. (As Miruku X noted earlier)Full screen resolutions have [ARCADE] and [FULLSCREEN] versions. ARCADE gives you the arcade style sidebar portraits with the blinking animations.Setting a 4:3 resolution does not remove side bars. It just shrinks the game screen. When you play online, 2P has to use the keyboard at the character select screen. When the match starts you can go back to using your controller. Very weird glitch.I spent a lot of time playing a friend who the game rated as a '2' latency and the connection was actually really great. The first couple of matches started good but would deteriorate, however all matches after that were pretty good. I'd like to imagine 3s and 4s are even better.

Game's up.

The original AH3 console port had the option to remove the side bars and play completely widescreen but the game was designed at 4:3. The addtiional space on each side of the screen changes the game's spacing as well as the behavior of some moves (like Petra's bullets that bounce around the screen). 4:3 is tournament standard (not that you have a choice anymore). About the combos, yeah, normals will usually chain together from lightest to strongest but, of course, depending on the combo you could have links in there too.

I don't think AH3LM supports playing without sidebars. That was only in vanilla. Which option? In Display there is "Set Link Animation to Default" which you can set to off but it doesn't do anything for offline versus since that mode doesn't have a "Screen" option at the stage select like, say, training mode. Offline versus always has the animations on the side. It always struck me as a weird behavior for the game. Have I been missing something all these years? Edit: Actually, the game really needs a way to quickly restart a match. It would be nice if that was added to the PC version.

That's good to hear. I assume it's exactly the same as the console version aside from the addition of resolution options in the option menu? I was hoping they'd add the ability to turn off link animations during versus mode, replacing them with the static pictures. For some reason you couldn't seem to do that in LM despite being able to turn them off in vanilla.

A lot of the AH3LM pages are sparse but the vanilla AH3 pages are detailed and probably most of what's written there can be used as reference for playing AH3LM without major modification. The way you want to end Heart's air combos are different when moving to AH3LM, and this is easy to notice when going into training mode, but the general strategy of the character and how her moves are used have not changed drastically. I imagine this is the same for most characters.

Actually, could someone maybe see about transplanting these posts into the AH3 wiki somewhere? I think this is good stuff to have on there.

Thanks for bringing these over. These posts were a lot of help to me in explaining AH's fundamentals.

It sounds like the artbook is part of the package no matter when you buy it so you could potentially wait for a sale and still get it. Concept art is cool though and I hope ASW is able to snag that stuff for more of their releases. This shouldn't be an issue.

Arcana Heart 3 Love Max will release on Steam September 29 with a price of $30, featuring a 10% discount for the first week: http://store.steampowered.com/app/370460 It's expected all the regional restrictions on netplay will be gone, which is fantastic, and this will help make the game accessible to a wider audience. However the price is probably pretty steep for a lot of people who have already invested a lot into the console versions or perhaps have already played it and moved on. I plan on picking this up on release myself. Are you planning on buying it, waiting for a sale, or not at all?

Hey, the first google result takes you back to Dustloop! http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/calendar/event/792-fraudsgarden/

Yeah, just to keep things updated for lurkers, the chat is still active. Possibly part of why there's less posting in the forum directly. Come join and play some matches!

I can't make it to CEOtaku myself for expense reasons. I could've sworn I saw AH listed as a main game a while back so that explains why I haven't seen it recently. On a related note I just heard about Fraudsgarden which will be holding an AH3LM tournament. That's October 3 in Richmond, VA. I'm in the area so I'll be going to that, at least for the other games, but are there any other AH people thinking of attending?

I've been out of commission for the past couple of weeks but I should be able to compete this Sunday.
