I've had my v4 for a few months without problems. That kind of lag seems extreme - I definitely would've noticed by now

I would consider getting a fightstick. While the original P4A was perfectly playable on pad, I feel like they tightened the inputs on P4U making stick play essential. This is purely anecdotal, unscientific, and I could be totally wrong.

The stock gate is a flat black panel that can be easily removed, but to put an octo in, you'll need to drill 4 holes into the new gate to match where the screws go. I did it with a Sanwa GT-Y. It's pretty easy. You will need slightly longer screws to mount it, maybe 1 inch. I'm a modding novice, and it wasn't hard at all! Very, very happy with the results

If anyone in the US wants a hard copy relatively inexpensively, I have it listed on eBay. (Mods: I'm sorry if this isn't allowed, I wasn't sure, so I did not post a direct link) With Xrd coming out, I just won't have the time til US release.

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I'm in Drexel Hill, and I mostly play Persona (Mitsuru, Yukiko), but I like scrubbing it up in BB (Ragna, Makoto LOL), and flailing noobily in UNIB. I have Arcana Love Max and Aqua, but I don't have much of a grasp on them. I'm not so good with all the FG technical terms, but I love a good scrap. I'm not on as much as I'd like due to being old as shit work, girlfriend, dog, Flyers games, WWE etc. But feel free to add me on PSN - JRSVEN. I've been known to late-night it on Fridays and Saturdays, usually a couple beers deep, so fun for me, easy wins for you!

I think I have a little better understanding of the game now. Basically no "jump and dash" to get in like typical ASW games, block early and often, pay attention to GRD, try to get Vorpal, and try not to get shield broken. I only putzed around drunkenly with Melty for the first time over the summer, so this is way new to me. I'm having a hard time with the game too. I'm used to Persona & BB, but I'm totally befuddled here. Some good advice here I'll try out. I'm guessing it's lack of patience on my part. I go to training and feel pretty good, then go to VS. and get bodied by the AI. Womp Womp LOL. I definitely like the game, but I want to love it.

GGs to the Chie and Kanji I played last night. First time online with Ultimax - the rust is real. Kanji utterly destroyed my poor Yuki-chan.

I'm hoping Ken is a golden retriever - this is fun!

I totally forgot about Divekick. Bad gameplay, unfunny in-jokes. Deleted almost immediately.

I plugged the stick in instead of the pad and inputs are way better now. Double 236 and 214 are no problem. I wish pad were viable in a pinch like P4A for guests, as I only have one stick, but so it goes. We'll both have to play casual on pad.

Having problems with 236236 too on pad. Haven't tried stick yet. Was never a problem with vanilla. Hrm. I'll have to play more later to see if this is going to be a real problem. I hope not!
