  1. I was playing some intense Venom matches earlier in the day and I kept getting caught in a charged Stinger Aim Loop. I'm wondering if this I a wonky sort of unblockable set up or if I'm just bad at 50/50 situations. I guessing the latter in all honesty... I was being mash happy then. If it's timed right it's pretty tight for his mixups, but a few times were charged for a gap but I wasn't reacting properly. I'm thinking if that happens I could jump but I could be baited with anti-air... I could be over thinking this. Just wondering what to do.
  2. I know this seems random, but I think the Xrd patch is coming out tomorrow. Got it from a comment on some Hase matches. https://twitter.com/aksysgames/status/596353031534301184 And the video I found the comment on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuK0n8Nh6CY(They're Slayer matches, but what ever.) But any way, anyone think this info's legitimate?
  3. I think this thread can be summarized by all of us crying into our full-sized Potemkin mattress covers... Waaaaaahh...
  4. Tumble with, good sir. We shall tumble into the abyss, together...
  5. Boners are great man. Are you denying the power they contain?
  6. Just be sure not to break the controller. I did that with P4A when I got it and not only did my thumbs hurt, but the down input doesn't work as often.
  7. The way I see Astral Finishes, they're really just a Mortal Kombat Fatality, with some slight battle application. All the Arcsys fighters feature them, but the ones with any real battle application are P4A's which let you do them so long as you have 100% meter and your persona available when you win a round, or Guilty Gear's which can be activated at anytime on any round. Like Verimeloni said, they're all extremely risky to perform, but it's just a way flashy way to finish an opponent off. A little cutscene to enjoy, that's all.
  8. You get on outa here, zoney. Men with giant forearms and huge grabs only. *tongue farts sounds here*
  9. I did this once before the patch, but I still want to think you can 720C her shoryuken on wakeup. It's kinda...NUTS... Ehh? EEH?! Other than that, it feels kinda standard. Block when you need to. There should be enough places to do some weird grab punishes.
  10. I personally recommend the Q4 Qanba. It's nice and wide, dual modded and feels great. It does have a ball top, but that can be switched around. I've had one for a while and it's workin' great for me.
  11. Jeez this thread is barren... I'll just give some tertiary knowledge on this. This match up gets pretty annoying with Ignus backing up Relius. The only thing you can do is block until he runs out of Detonator meter. Be veeeeery careful when blocking as his mixup game is really good with Ignus around and will fill any holes he has in his combos with her. I'm no good at it, but IB-ing may prove useful to catch him off guard with 360B, but who knows. Most of his normals have poor range so having him magnetized should be top priority. Perhaps holding 360A could beat his spot dodge, where he to use it. Does no one play against any Relius players?
  12. I'm bad with certain abbreviations, so does GP refer to Tager's elbow drop(j2c?)
  13. I'll offer some general stuff on Platinum, though I might be wrong. Beware of Mami-circular for one thing, for a stand alone special it does some obscene damage. The bat, if I remember, has quite a few invincibility frames due to its massive start-up. Just block against the cat-flail as it's the safest thing ever and be aware of your recovery as you recover instantly from it. In general pay attention of what items she has, as they determine the combos and set ups. I don't think her attacks have much range to them but her air game is a bit tricky with swallow moon. Maybe you can catch it with Atomic Collider if you're fast enough. Again, this is some general stuff.
  14. I'd be willing to play with you fine gents. I'm not online too often though. Not super new to fighting games, but still scrubby enough. Feel free to add me if you'd like.
