yeah i meant being able to hit confirm if the first J.2S hits to do J.H or if it dint to continue with the second J.2S and i've played a May player and he's never hit me during Oki with a 6P and i've believe he's tried, but anyway's thanks for the tip i'll try to hit confirm with 2k.
  2. so i was playing a testament player and i felt pretty comftarble in the machtup. There was however one thing that was bugging me. Sometimes when i would IAD with J.2S he would jump and he would use one of his air normals(forgot wich one) wich would wiff because he would jump toward me , but my J.2S would also wiff since the part of the hitbox wich was supposed to hit him would not be active. I would fall and he would grab me. There's one thing that i hate and that is randomly getting grabbed into a combo. i refuse to lose to something that was not planned. Am i supposed to use my J.2S less in this machtup so i dont get randomed out or should i just try to score a counter hit by jumping straigth up J.2S?

arigth so i've been thinking about oki set-ups and hit confirming into comboes. It seems sometimes when the opponent is in the corner and i set up a H,P on wakeup, i mess up my opportunity for a combo and i lose the knockdown. For example: May is in corner, as she is getting up i use H,P fish to hit her I IAD J.2S early in order to do the double airdash, howver the May player decides to try to poke me and gets hit by my J2.S, as i was alredy planning for the double-air dash, alot of times i dont have enougth time to gattle J.H with enougth time for it to combo so i can continue the combo into the ground. Is there a special way to hit-cofirm my J.H just in case my first J.2S hits withouth wasting my window to do the double airdash? I thougth about using negative edge, but you can use negative edge for normals:( Or do you have to jsut react quick enougth to do the second air-dash withougth falling to the ground?
  4. i've heard of the Glitch fish but im not entirely sure on how to do it, is it done by pressing the next buton on a specific time?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=uIkv1G7ECHs&feature=related i dont know if this vid was alredy posted or not but i just felt i had to comment on this players patience when playing Dizzy. I noticed how he blocked when he was supposed to until he found a wasy to escape pressure safely. IMO its defenatly a good idea not only to learn good agression with Dizzy(pressure, oki, ticks) but good defence as well.
  6. we woul't have to review each macthup if we had a sub-forums. Is anybody gonna make a subforum for Dizzy? Id do it but im not a Mod
  7. yeah againts Ino i use j.2S alot more since its trow invincible
  8. actually it be cool if we discussed air trows as well im having trouble trying to implemeted in to my game sometimes people try to escape my oki pressure by using a 1-frame jump on wakeup so i've been trying to plan ahead and use the S fish to stop them from jumping to high and air trowing them while there still air blocking but i've had limited succes. Maeby my timing is a little off?, anybody else try that set up
  9. i think its only 4 frames not sure thougth but nayhows thats more than enougth time for a 1-frame jump to avoid a tick
  10. huh im sorry man but sometimes i have a hard time reading wath your posting. Do you mean what can Dizzy do to stop his backdash or what Pot can do againts Dizzy to stop her back dash? On any note i've played a really good Pot at TGA and to stop his backdash i ussually prefer using HS,K Fish combination cause if he backdashes the last hit of the laser will stop him just enougth for the K bite to hold him there. If He doest Backdash then you have to plan ahead and stay in the air lon enougt for the K bite to stop him from Pot Bustering you As for Pot Punishing your backdash trust he has a good toiol to stop that its called 6HS. That attack has such range that if you backdash on wakeup you'll get hit by it. If yoou and you blcok the ^HS be aware taht he can cancel it into a slidehead for a world of hurt. Ahead and 1frame jump his slidehead setup and you can try to punish as your coming down
  11. so i played in a tourney last weekend and i realized i lost a round because i dint know the Order-Sol macthup.I had no idea he could use his FB to get around some of my oki options. He's also so fast its very hard to sometimes stop his rushdown. Any pokes i should be using or not using in this macthup?
  12. i have never played a mirror macth i think there's only one dizzy in MA me:( so i havve no idea what the macthup is like
  13. thanks for the tips excelence i never play agaitns a KY so i tend to forget my options I ussually have good mathcup experience againts an Anji,Slayer,Johnny,Jam and Baiken cause thats what my crew members play
  14. so i'm goin to a tourney this saturdfay and im alredy sure that im gonna have to play a good KY player, would one of you kind folks refresh my memory on the machtup?
  15. thats one of the best bubble tactics i've seen japanese players use, i use the same setup also althougth sometimes i go for a trow when i pop the bubble and it is blocked sometimes i get away with it cause most people dont expect me to do that. I dont think its a valid setup thougth:0
  16. dont let this guy mess with your game, i've played tekken and i know how important trow breaks are. In tekken you get more than enough frames to react to trows and still break them. However in GG you only get to break a trow if you press the button within 1 or 2 frames, there is not enougth time for him to react to your trow attemt. He is simply reading your tick-trow attemp and pressing the HS before you even trow him. Next time you play try this, set up a tick and run up to him and poke him if you time it rigth you should hit him as soon as he presses HS to break your trow attempt
  17. i know rigth:yaaay: ussually thougth the people that are good are always patient thats the differnce bewtween a good player and a great player
  18. yeah i think the same way but you have to remember than not everybody thinks the same way some people are more impatient than others. I have gone to tourney's were people just can't stop themselves from attacking you back when there in the corner.
  19. yeah i agree with zaeries, msot of the time flashy comboes is't what makes a good dizzy rather good oki setups combined with good mindgames. If the video shows how playing Dizzy requires planning and being a couple steps ahead of your opponent, I think it be good for newer players. A lot of times that i play Dizzy i notice how better players will block your oki pressure and find inginous ways to escape and put you at a disadvantege, its very important to think ahead and use different options to keep your opponent excatly were you want him. P.S I use the K~H fish combination againts people who delay there wake up(Robo-Ky, Bridget, ect.) that way if they dont delay there wake-up the K will act as a meaty, if they do then the H will be a meaty
  20. yeah i thougth so his 6k is a little fast, but i dint realize that you can block it on reaction. I jsut need a little practice(heads to training mode)
  21. so i played in a tourney againts an Eddie, i was wondering how to block his blocks strings effectivly, it seems like you have to guess between high/low several times and if you guess once wrong you eat a combo. Is there some sort of techinique to block his eddie effectively? Or are you suppossed to avoid getting caugth in that situation in the first place? Either way im fine with but i would jsut like to know all my options before i start formulating a strategy for that machtup
  22. yeah defenatly bubble loops are awesome, Dizzy overall is a cool character and she isn't bad. I really think that if Dizzy had better defence she would be high tier, unfortunatly in AC your opponent catches you once you lose like 3/4 life:(
  23. not to be offensive but when you get to top level play you need the best comboes. Anybody that wants to be the est has to invest time learning the best comboes, setups, oki ect. Its just the nature of the game i learned that the hard way in ST, GG is the same way.
  24. thanks for the link excelence:kitty: @zaeris as for I- no air-trowing your j.hs you can always use yous j.2S since its trow invincible
