  1. P4AU comes out in North America next week! I preordered it, so I get a lot of goodies. Too bad Margaret is going to be paid DLC in the future, but I guess I shouldn't complain too much, seeing as how we get Adachi and Marie for free the first week.
  2. Honestly, 2.0 will decide whether or not if I'll continue to stay with Tsubaki. I think it's kind of BS they nerfed the character for no reason, especially when other characters in the cast does rushdown better. I was excited to pick her up, but there's only so much I can do. Not saying that I prefer easy victories, but I'd at least like some balanced match ups here. I still think they should make her charging faster and make charging more viable.
  3. Can they make Tsubaki competitive again please? Make her Drive useful god dammit! Even though I just sub Tsubaki, it's a damn shame when in most fights, I don't even attempt to charge because it really doesn't make much of a difference in many of her match ups. At least in CS2, she had the damage and faster charge time to be competitive. Fireball did little for the character, imho. Blah, but like someone said, let's not make this into a complaint thread about Tsubaki.
  4. That's a rather long wait, but at least I'll have P4AU to keep me busy. I have been contemplating on buying BBCP now, but with CP2.0 on the horizon, I want to see how ArcSys handles the releases. I don't want to be in that position of buying CP, getting the CP2.0 patch, only to have ArcSys announce a retail copy of CP Extend.
  5. Teddie feels a bit weird to me in this game. I mean, I just recently decided to make him my main after dropping Akihiko, but in Ultimax he doesn't seem as good as he was in the original Arena. Maybe I'm missing something here. One thing I don't like is the fact that Kintoki-Douji is out longer when throwing out items. The beauty of my Teddie gameplay in P4A was keeping the pressure on (and annoying :P) my opponents with items. Now I can't do that in Ultimax because Kintoki-Douji stays out longer, thus, he'll get hit more easily. Really wish the 30th would hurry up so I can get my copy of P4AU and experiment more with Teddie. I love the variety the character has, but I need to adpat to his new style of play in Ultimax.
  6. Where are the current notes for CP2.0? Because the only ones I saw were from the first ever loketest.
  7. You do know that Amane is a guy right?
  8. Thank you so much for the tips. I already put my preorder in for P4AU, so I'm very excited for my copy to arrive! I'll definitely be practicing more with Junpei when it arrives.
  9. Rise is a very weird character to me. I didn't get to play with my waifu a lot, but I think I could do pretty decent with her. Just need to learn what I'm supposed to do with her.
  10. Definitely interested in playing Ken/Koromaru, but it's a bit of an adjustment because they're more Relius like than Carl like. I didn't get to play with them a lot, but I definitely need to learn their combos and special moves. I can also see why Ken/Koromaru only need 2 Persona Cards, since they don't really need them too much.
  11. I got to play a bit of P4AU and Junpei is one of the characters I want to learn, because I'm a huge baseball fan. I love the concept, but executing it seems pretty difficult. Junpei seems to be one of the more technical characters in the game, especially since he's basically a "power up" character. What are some basic tips to score runs so I can get into Victory Mode?
  12. Got to play a bit of P4AU tonight. I really enjoyed this sequel, as it's literally an improvement of the original in every way. Really like what I saw in terms of changes to Akihiko, Chie, and Teddie. I also got to try out my three new characters, Junpei, Ken/Koro, and Rise. Junpei is definitely a bit tricky to use, as getting in with him is hard and getting the runs proves a difficult task. Ken and Koromaru are really Relius like, but I definitely need to learn combos. Didn't play a whole lot of Rise, but she's definitely an interesting character that I hope to explore more with. Also, Sho MINAZUKI has the best Instant Kill in the game, but I still won't be picking him up.
  13. Since cutting my BB army in half, I have to say, I'm really interested in seeing how Carl, Mu-12, and Tsubaki turn out. I really think Tsubaki should be like her CS2 incarnation in terms of damage and charge speed, but with CP mechanics. That's the game she really shined in. Carl and Mu-12 still seem pretty solid, but only time will tell how they will end up once the final 2.0 patch is out. Also, can't wait to add Celica to my line up, because I do need an easy to pick up character. Tsubaki WAS supposed to be that character, but in CP, you definitely have to WORK for your wins. With Celica, it looks like you have to do less work, which I have no problem with.
  14. ArcSys is known for wasting a lot of opportunities.
  15. It's safe to say that if she gets Persona Broken, she's pretty much fucked.
  16. CS2 Tsubaki is probably the best iteration of Tsubaki. CP Tsubaki did change drastically, and I will never understand why they took away the A/B/C variations from some of her moves. I just got into Tsubaki, but having experienced both CS2 and CP, I prefer her CS2 iteration by far. That's the only game where she could win without struggling TOO much. The fireball in CP helped a little bit, but honestly, from CSE to CP, she's just gotten meh. So many other characters in the game do rushdown better, but I digress.
  17. I'm not really liking these changes for Tsubaki. I'm really worried. But I'm trying to b patient and not overreact until tests are done and the official change list comes out. ArcSys really needs to make the charges more viable for Tsubaki. If you're going to give a character some kind of additional meter gimmick, make it worthwhile and make it so opponents change up their strategy when you have meter at your dispoal.
  18. Someone a long time ago said it best: Nu is manual, Lambda is auto.
  19. Carl honestly hasn't lost anything. He's stayed more or less the same, with some changes in his priorities of certain attacks.
  20. That's exactly what I'm thinking. I mean, with such drastic changes that we're hearing about, it wouldn't be so farfetched to think that they'll do a physical and digital release/patch of CP2. However, if they do a physical release of CP2, I would hope that Terumi, Kagura, and Kokonoe are available from the start + we get the extra Vita content and the DLC colors are unlocked. But that's really wishful thinking.
  21. If a develop actually takes the time to localize and dub an anime fighting game, I will stick with the dub. Some go the lazy route and just use English subs with Japanese voices, but I like when developers go the extra mile and takes the time to give their characters English voices. I want to play and listen to the game in my native language. Sure, there are some bad English VAs, but people need to understand that voice acting in America isn't such a big profession like it is in Japan. Besides, imho, a lot of Japanese VAs sound to similar. At least with English VAs, the voices sound different, even when they voice mutlipe characters (Tara Strong and Laura Bailey come to mind).
  22. Bridget was the sole reason I was interested in GG in the first place. The fact that it's a guy who was raised as girl and still dresses like a girl, a nun at that, while fighting with yoyos and a toy bear is intriguing. He's one of those characters that's hard to use and win with, but when you execute his combos and actually win matches with him, it's so rewarding. None of the other GG characters had fighting styles or designs that interested me enough to want to learn them. I was going to be basic and learn Sol Badguy, but he's just so...basic, like most main characters in fighting games and I didn't like that. TL:DR; I need Bridget in the game for me to even consider touching it. He's the only character I will ever use in GG and that's not changing.
  23. Won't her theme be the one they used in her reveal trailer? I actually liked that theme. Would actually love to get another new stage, even if it's a remake of a classic stage.
  24. Let's be honest, we all want CS2 Tsubaki back with the CP upgrades she received, like the fireball and new Distortion Drive. As it stands now, she's a subpar rushdown character that continues to get nerfed for whatever reason. Like someone in another thread mentioned earlier, ArcSys really needs to make Tsubaki feel dangerous when she's getting charges. People now don't seem bothered if she even has a full 5 charges anymore, even though it improves her game dramatically, especially with the Mugen Install.
  25. I predict a future CP2 physical package in the future with this patch. That's why I've held off buying the game right now. I know anime games aren't exactly known for their balance and teir whoring, but a lot of characters' changes literally change how they play. It makes no sense.
