Plays a lot like Shana did in the last version? So another amazing character with ridiculous damage, insane pressure, and mixups? I'm happy that the game will be seeing a rebalance. I hope they show Shizuo some love, but most importantly of all, they need to address some of the lackluster assists in the game. There are a lot that just hold no value whatsoever, even if you find interesting uses for them.

I disagree. J Stars has characters that are much more noticeable in the West because of their overall success. Many people are familiar with DBZ, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, and other of the series involved in that game. Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax? Not so much. I consider myself a slightly above average manga/anime enthusiast and I was unfamiliar with everyone in that game except for Akira from Virtua Fighter.Heck, I didn't even know about SAO and it's characters. I think that is why it's so surprising to see this game getting localized considering how uncommon the series involved in that game may be.

Interesting. As with most fighters, I'll be looking forward to this game. -
1. You can find a decent amount of players at varying times. Sometimes, you will run into a bunch of Japanese players but it depends on the time you go on Ranked. 2. Unfortunately, there is no challenge mode. But the mizuumi wiki page for Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax has combos you can explore. Luckily enough, the game isn't that hard where the combos are that execution heavy. 3. Shizuo... can take a lot of work to get going. I've seen some really awesome things from Japanese players, but it's a challenge. He's a fun character though. 4. I got it from Play Asia and had no problems but I did use express shipping. 5. Most likely not.

Is the consensus that Kino is the best assist in the game? While I can see arguments for that, I would rather prefer assists with a little bit more utility. Kino's 6S is indeed fantastic for combo extensions, but I find myself favoring assists that help with okizeme and difficult mixups a lot more. For example, I really like to use Kirino and I have used Kino a lot. As mentioned, she can extend combos which in hand extends damage and other things. However, I've been leaning towards Kureneko's Rose Petals and Mashiro's Cats. When done properly, they can both apply mixups and combo extensions as well. I guess what Kino has going for her is her low cooldown as well. Whatever the case may be, I think Kino, Dokuro, Kojou, Enju are the strongest. Ryuuji, Koko Kaga, Leafa, and Kuroneko would probably follow up for me, in my opinion. I would love to know what you guys think are the strongest assists. What do you find the most overrated? Underrated?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucsNCbF1VtE Just posted a video of a quick rundown of the assists and some of the finer details. Thanks to these forums for breaking down some of the more complex assists that had hidden actions. I really appreciated it. Right now, it's a rough draft. If I missed anything, please let me know and I'll fix it.

Keep the good stuff coming, guys. It's really interesting to see these setups and assist info. For Selveria players, I know that Alicia is a go to assist for her but what other assist are you guys fond of to make the best user out of her kit? @Silvius: Thanks for that info about Dokuro. I am compiling a list of info regarding all the assists so I'm glad you found that out. Good stuff. Weird question but how on Earth did you find that!? LOL.
