  1. (yo wtf cash battle, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice) If you're gonna bring a friend that's interested in seeing what's up in da gear neighborhood but maybe isn't apart of this ridiculous forum community, clear it with the host. I'm sure no one will mind, but don't be that guy bringing like 4 random people no one knows. That's not a cool guy most the time. If you are driving, and someone is only like 5 minutes out the way for you, do the friend thing and grab that shit up. A simple "HAI GUYS! I'm going to here from there, if you're in between and need a ride, PM me addy and I'll see if I can." is all you need to do in your local 'Let's talk about meeting up, but never actually do it.' thread. If you are getting a ride from some one, offer gas moneys. For whatever reason you can't drive, and that's cool. You don't need a license and a car to be polite. Simple enough, but if like 20 people are diggin' on a game you aren't so into, you got two options. One, suck it up, have a good time, at least make a effort to join in the festivities. Or Two, ask ****in a NOT bitchy/assholey/annoying way**** if anyone wants to grab on the game of your choice. Obviously we don't want you to hate the evening, but no one wants some guy in the corner going 'Come on guys, stop playing shitblue 4 and play random shitty fighting game with me instead!' (Oh, and if you get random IK'd, unplug their controller... slyly... and return the favor. You got my permission.) tl:dr - Manners people. Use 'em.
  2. i dont respek anyone who cant spell the full word of 'respect' out of laziness fuckin seriously lol

  5. okay guys, i got an idea let's just make it so theres movement, and there's 1 attack button and you just rapidly hit the attack button on hitconfirm to do the best possible combo the game engine allows the skill is still there, because you shouldnt get hit by that first random poke in the first place we can call is abare core, and it would be the most technical game in history, tearing down all the walls of arbitrary difficulty from things like 236 inputs, remembering movelists, and managing your super bar intelligently ...o wait... -_-
  6. lilica, with real pants! thats all i want
  7. "I'd like to know the reason why it can't be in any reasonable amount of time." Same reason people people can't mod Unreal Tournament 3 to be exactly like Halo 2. There are a lot of little things, and missing even a relatively small detail can fuck up a lot of things. Like take the whole gravity thing, you know... a characters falling speed? Mess that up even a little bit, and characters like Ky might become even more difficult to combo. Or easier. Either way, not arcade perfect. Think about the PS2 port for Marvel vs Capcom 2; in my mind it isn't that bad... but I don't really play the game much. Diehards though rip it apart... so while you can probably get it to feel close... perfect is a lofty goal I severely doubt you can do. "Also, people make emulators, translate manga, anime, and games, create software, characters and code all for free already, why would ripping code from game A to game B be any different?" People do that for free because they choose to do that, usually not at someones request. And I doubt that you can just burn the code from a PS2 disc and just throw it into mugen. The information might be available, but it would still be a ton of hand done shit. Just remember that the guys doing ggpo support there own projects, with FBA and their server and their site and all that. Plus they got bigger goals in mind if they wanna go the console games route by getting real commercial backing, not some thank yous on a message board. "I haven't been keeping up on the project, but last I checked (like two/three months ago), the dev. was no where near completion. Even if the project was near completion, my idea would still use less resources due to not needing emulation." Emulation takes a lot of time. Hell, they are still working on XBLA Perfect Dark (cries) which isn't even a complex game by todays standards, and thats being done by professionals. If they develop some hotness in the way of emulation for GG, i'm all for it... but I am patient about it and I'll wait as long as it takes. I don't have the time to drive everywhere to lose in GG, and I like netplay in things. That said, I would be very sceptical about a arcade-perfect mugen setup for gg..... as would most people. I'm sure you aren't the first to think about it, but suggesting something and doing something about it are two different things. But it sounds like you don't know much about the process involved, so why not research the concept yourself a bit as a reality, and see if you can find the walls development would hit.
  8. point one- you arent gonna make mugen run exactly like ac, not in any reasonable time, and no one is gonna volunteer for THAT headache of a thankless job point two- you arent gonna be able to pitch mugen to the guys who hook up shit with ggpo and get them on board with that for frees, or probably even for moneys point three- we are so much closer to just emulating a ps2 or emulating the naomi board, and getting netcode for that then your mugen idea... lets stick the effort there yea?
  9. ummm.... 1- why would ac+ piss off arcsys and not ac classic? 2- mugen? 3- mugen? really? 4- does ggpo even support mugen? 5- MUGEN?
  10. hell, ill support more guilty gear 110% :D after all, i only bought a few versions of the game.... and 1 arcade stick, then modded it... then another arcade stick, that was dual modded just for guilty gear lol whats a lil more money thrown into such a great series? amirite?

  14. yea, i looked real quick in there and it seems to be real sotry 'discussion' not a 'how to 100%' kinda thing spoiler tags EVERYWHERE lol
  15. Anyone got a list of everything needed to 100% Rachel's Storyline? I did all the choices I believe and I'm sitting at 86%
  16. nah, communists would all agree that all fighting games have 1 character, with 1 normal and zero moves and it would be +0 on block
  17. like others said, holding the stick makes the difference your thumb on your left hand will more naturally move to the left, and its not a bigger range of movement like your arm, so there are limitations in that aspect main reason i like stick better though is the buttons.... all on a flat panel means you can hit any combination of buttons much easier go ahead and try to hit RB-X-B at the same time on your pad, and youll see what i mean on a stick, no combination of buttons that a fighting game uses would feel uncomfortable, aside from like..... LP-MK-HP on a 6 button street fighter layout
  18. o dear... no wings = no commitment... i wanna see that shit all spread out! lol
  19. could these people doing jin and ragna stop lookin so serious o.O i want to commend the effort but that damn look is just too ridiculous side note; whos balls enough to do nu-13.... im not into the cosplay thing or anything but i wanna see that challenge done well (or watch the fail with a bowl of popcorn)
  20. quick addition to that if you think youll rest your hand on your buttons AT ALL i would advise against sanwa buttons.... they are feather-touch responsive.... which means even the slightest lean of your hand will throw out accidental bursts and shit if you arent lazy, its a non-point... but thats a serious thing to be awares of :D sanwa stick = a little easier to play with, a little quieter with the clicking seimitsu stick = a little more effort is required to move it (just a lil though) and its kinda loud i would honestly call sanwa a little better straight out stick wise sanwa buttons = super responsive, almost to a fault depending on user.... but super quick = minimal effort to play and execute fancy shit seimitsu buttons = you hafta click em down to activate em, like a regular button.... so the response isnt AS quick, but you can feel and hear when your activating the switch (a.b.a. rekka's on these is fun because you wanna hit it hard and you hear clicks and its just great solid fun for the whole family) buttons go down to preference: do you want them to activate the moment you touch them, or when you actually press down downward?
  21. the madcatz x360 and ps3 sticks both work on pc easiest easiest solution buy a x360 madcatz SE, buy a Pre-assembled Cthulu board, buy an imp switch... follow the tutorial thread on SRK or some builders make dual console sticks.... that arent bad pricewise if you arent handy
  22. preference
  23. Wooden Box, Seimitsu Buttons/Sanwa Stick, PS2 & Xbox360 stick (the pcb from a SE, and a MC-Cthuhlu set to PS2) <3
