Ok small update; his name is localized as Xiba (shoulda saw that coming since he is Chinese). Also you kinda loose the dead rotting skin once you're no longer undead, ya know? Cervantes broke his curse and acquired a new body about 12 years ago. I'm not 100% sure what happened with Aeon, as it's very murky in details, but I didn't know he'd actually acquire the memories of things he eats o.o Be back with an impression of Xiba

Seeing how we don't know how/why the 3 P3 characters have entered the TV world, it's completely open for anything to happen. In a fighting game canon power levels are completely irrelevant, also she's no stronger than most of the other characters, you have to realize only a small portion of characters are actually adept in actual combat due to their daily activities. But really her physical strength is highly irrelevant as she's an archer so she'd be more of a zoning character. And archers are always pretty awesome in games. I'm personally disinterested in the characters, for a boxer I would've preferred Ulala, and I'm sad the "surprising" inclusions weren't surprising at all :<

Well we'll find out in less than a week, you can have all the pedigree you want, but all that matters is how the current product holds up.

I thought people complained about the netcode for all the 360 SNK games (least I heard lots of bad stuff about MoTW's code) so if it's something they said they've been using for awhile (they said they used this code in the past with XII and other titles so I assume it's the same)

The PS2 version? As far as I can tell, no. NeoGeo Battle Colosseum, Last Blade 1+2, King of Fighters XI, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves, state they use "KDDI (Multi-Matching BB Service)" for their online features. I know this cause I actually own them :3

They're new to people who only played the PC ver but they aren't new to the experience since they were included in X (which is still apart of "1") so they aren't included in the newcomers count.

BlazBlue is a Fighting game, it's already import friendly :3 With Extend I'm not sure if they'll go back to the way they handled CT or CS; with the Japanese CT it had all English text and audio for everything, this was done due to how close the 2 regions were getting the game. With the Japanese CS it only contained English audio (ONLY for battles) this was done because the online servers are universal and connected and it would cause errors if a Japanese play and and American player fought with their regions default options (as the Japanese ver normally wouldn't come with English audio of any kind). There's a strong chance they'll go with the CS method. However BB usually has English menus, so it's pretty easy to navigate and messing with options are simply trial/errors, also there is usually someone who translates menu options so it shouldn't be too bad. As far as patching goes there is nothing to worry about, the Blu-ray drive on a PS3 is region free so you can just pop the disc in, if there is an update your game will automatically detect and update. However if there's DLC be warned you can't use NA DLC on a JPN disc and vice-versa. As far as Japanese ver vs Asian ver, this is the most common question for importers, the Asian ver can be different depending on the producers intentions, some will simply have a 2nd manual with other languages outside of Japanese, some will have more audio options, and some even have English. Honestly...if the Asian ver is cheaper, there is NOTHING wrong with getting it over the "Japanese" ver (importing is expensive, you gotta save whenever you can!) Lastly Play Asia is kinda expensive [more expensive than most other import options] I recommend AmiAmi (especially since their shipping isn't as horrendous]

What made Robo-Ky really terrible in Slash was the fact you got punished for blocking, as your heat gauge rose when defending, and Order Sol was a bit bad due to crappy charge speed, but it wasn't enough to make him unviable. I consider Accent Core outside the realm of the XX series simply because the introduction of Force Breaks and Slash Backs (as well as other features like wall sticks and slides) make it feel very different from any other iteration. It's really a toss up, but in my opinion; if you have to pick from [XX/#Reload/Slash] then I'll always, ALWAYS pick Slash. If it's between [slash/Accent Core] then get a coin as both are pretty well tuned and offer their own perks (miss those old voice clips...)
