  1. Well it makes a portion of your health (based on damage you receive) recoverable when you go into Extend and 623E increases attack and defense for a set amount of time, it's supers are adequate, and in my opinion in Blaze can be pretty powerful if used correctly. It's more of a stat booster, and while regen in good you're probably better off looking at the Plant for that = w= at least Sacred looks pretty :3
  2. I played XI....for about 3 months :P I'm just not good with MMOs cause I kinda have gaming ADD = w= I never even met Prish in the game XD and only know of Shanotto because I had a friend who basically beat everything up the the 3rd expansion. Me and Hirano has some odd friction right now, she's a good seiyuu no doubt, but she's such an attention whore if you follow their lives, I can't even go a whole day without seeing her name in the news <.< But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hyped for her x.x
  3. You didn't even play XI did you!?
  4. Now I feel like an open book .__. Ah whatever, I love the odds being stacked against me, bring it on!
  5. Yeah you're probably right, flight would be just silly for some reason those screens makes me think she'll play a bit Vega/Claw-ish, either way I'm happy to see she might not be the Wesker clone I initially wrote her off as but this just makes me sad DMC 1 or 4 Dante isn't in this... I like 3 bu him being so familiar with Trish is illogical = w= Also: Marvel 101 This video...makes me want to have Vergil in MvC3...
  6. Sweet, can't wait to see them in motion :3 Jill with flight!? W...T..H!
  7. lol everyone was so simple in their answers, I feel all over analytical now = w=
  8. They're still DLC (which can't been redeemed until a moth after release, which we can assume is when they'll be up on PSN/XBL) you just get them for "free" is you buy the LE (you don't have to pre-order it) I actually like unlocking stuff, especially characters, and I think Capcom played it safe by only making 4 locked at the start, (though I'm a little sad I have to wait a bit before getting Hsien-ko) With so many good images how did we end up with that crap-tacular cover art? And concerning the last two characters I really couldn't care who they add; I already know Regina or Saki won't make it in because they have Chris. Hmm I'd love to see Ruby Heart return but that's unlikely as well. For the Marvel side...Ms. Marvel? I don't want Psylocke in because that'll force me to make too many choices
  9. Who the hell are you two!?
  10. So I have to ask; what determines the Arcana that you use? I see alot of people picking and sticking with 1, and while I think it is important to have familiarity with a specific one, I think everyone should branch out and have a small pool of Arcana to choose from for any given opponent/situation. So I would like to know what reasons you guys use to pick an Arcana. I myself cycle through; Ice, Flower, Halo, and Thunder. I use Thunder because it is the one I'm most familiar with (been using it since the original AH). The main reason I use Thunder is for the extra/free clash boxes it offers as it's passive ability, this catches quite a few off guard and if I plan carefully I can get the advantage utilizing those clashes (also makes charging my launcher much easier since it also get clash frames). 236E summons a bolt from the sky with some slight homing on it, it's great for catching people off guard and even stopping delayed homing. 236236E or 214214E is a pretty nice Arcana super as it summons 3 bolts which can move either forward or backward depending on the input, this is also a great mind game setup as it still retains some of it's slight homing and can even be delayed. I use Ice alot because it offers me something I REALLY love, ground dashing! You can only ground dash in Arcana by doing a ground homing, however this has some slight start up and easy to see coming (and stop), the dash you get from Ice is amazing because it's fast and instant so it allows me better ground mobility without sacrificing my defensive options. I also love it's attacks as well; 236E shoots a projectile straight forward that covers the entire screen, even better it can be charged, making the projectile bigger. 214E summons a snowflake projectile that comes from the air and moves down at a 45 degree angle, what I really like though is the fact the projectile comes from behind you and even if you get hit it still goes, this is amazing for fake outs and protecting you should you make a mistake. 214214E is one of my favorite Arcana supers as it summons a hail storm of snowflake projectiles, and even though they drop at a 45 degree angle, that enter from varying point, covering pretty much the entire screen, I've often caught people off guard with this move since it last a good amount of time and it's hard to see where some of the projectiles are coming from. Also a nice, albeit small, bonus is while you're in Extend your 236E projectile comes out fully charged each time. Oh and Ice's Blaze is pretty nice too. Flower is probably one of my least favorite Arcana because it offers ok rewards at high cost, so then why is it in my pool? Simple, it negates counter hits, that in and of itself is a rather awesome reason to use it in my opinion. Combos are pretty beefy in AH so you don't need to add to your lose with surprise counter hit damage. I also like 214E as it summons a projectile in front of you, it doesn't have great range but that's why I like it. You can control the direction of the projectile and even input 214E again to expand it, this makes it rather good for making your opponent ram into it in an attempt to get to you. I love Flower's Blaze but sadly it's hard to actually land as it's not instant, so opponents can block on reaction. Halo is becoming one of my favorites as well, 214E summons a projectile that appears at your opponents positions, so this is great for stopping your opponent from afar. 236236E is awesome because it creates a giant wall of light that is great for corner combos and from locking out your opponent. And it's Blaze is godlike, most people are in the middle of an action (in an attempt to stop you) and when the screen freezes they are in trouble!
  11. Well Twinkle Queen was good alright ok... but if they make it in the same fashion then don't expect something you can take seriously, the game lacked so much in all areas and I was disappointed that was Koihime Musou's first fighting appearance (didn't matter since they picked lame characters anyways but...) I just hope since this will be an arcade release the quality will be much higher > w<
  12. lol sorry I didn't seen any good Saki pics, but I was merely skimming 300+ images, so I'll make one for you Of course I don't mind; also enhanced ver = w= Also Circ is right guys, don't limit yourself, that's the best thing about AH, you can pick any character you want and still be rather unpredictable thanks to your Arcana. It's good to be familiar with one but branch out a little.
  13. And there's WAY too much Scharlachrot art = w= and this pic is far to epic to make an avatar out of (by DL standards). This pic proves it.... (SolxFiona) lol Can't pick a main: ver A ver B ver C (least favorite, all done by the same artist but alot of inconsistency unlike the first 2) (humio is an AMAZING artist)
  14. Screw DL's stupidly small ava requirements *goes off to make more AH avatars* On topic I find it odd how people are picking specific Arcana, I myself have a small pool which I switch around with depending on my opponent (Halo, Flower, Thunder, Ice) = w=
  15. Homing Cancel is for losers! (actually I'm just too lazy to sign up) Darn it, everyone is getting AH avas...must resist urge to switch and rep love... >.<
  16. Nope but EU is getting one...bastards Uwa just a few more days and my PS3 should finally get back to me and I can start playing again ; A;
  17. I don't mind low HP characters but Phoenix's HP is just dumb, she's powerful enough it's just you aren't allowed to make ANY mistakes ("lol don't get hit" is just dumb guys because this goes beyond having low health) Phoenix is going to need to have some excellent partners that can handle their own and have great assist as well. Luckily Phoenix's charge assist seems to have great recovery, as pretty much as soon as the move ends she taunts (which of course makes assist invincible) however it can be stopped by projectiles and doesn't help that it brings her hitbox forward. Also you can't afford to whiff Phoenix Rage as it actually leaves you open. Since you start out the round with 1 bar if Phoenix is your starting character I recommend activating Healing Sphere ASAP as it'll be needed to help with your low defense, it last about 15 seconds which should be about enough time to build up another bar to have when your first sphere depletes. Phoenix (mine anyways) will be all about Healing loops, won't worry too often about ending a combo with Phoenix Rage unless I have a really good lead). Also teleports, X-Factor, Snap Backs, Cross Overs, DHC to Healing Sphere, DHC from Phoenix Rage to another hyper (just to tag her out), and Healing Sphere negating DPM's health drain = w= Seth called her a rushdown character and while she has the moves to do so, she's going to need to play a bit more keep away Laugh now for we shall soon show you all the power of the Phoenix Force!
  18. Yeah, yeah "lol no HP" :/ Seriously if Capcom plans to patch this game like BB, Phoenix NEEDS an HP buff, there's just no excuse for having NO health (is your opponent using a combo with 2 or more hits? You're dead. No Healing Sphere and blocking a hyper? You're dead. Are you looking at Phoenix? You're dead.) ... Still gonna use her :D So everyone better enjoy gettin those free wins off me while they last ~.~
  19. I wish >.> it's only yuri heavy in the anime, in the actually novel it's your typical harem with your typical faceless jerk off x.x
  20. Except it's based on the Three Kingdoms era in Chinese history and it isn't over the top (in the action department) The visual novel game is great, but of course it's an eroge so there is H content, but it's nowhere near as ecchi as the anime = w=
  21. You can also watch all 3 seasons (39 episodes) on Crunchyroll so support official subs (or buy the DVDs from Rightstuf) Damn why am I trying to promote such a bad series (anime wise, the games are pretty good = w=) anyways can't wait till, I just hope it's a serious and good attempt
  22. IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! If Bachou and Butterfly Mask (not Chou un) don't make it in I will be severely upset >.< EDIT - Also the anime is terrible and is an insult to the game. And it sucks because the openings for all 3 seasons promised greatness that is NEVER delivered. The 3rd seasons' opening is the MOST deceptive. If you get an interest in playing the game Mangagamer sells the first title in English.
  23. I'm not saying YOU in general are wrong, I think EVERYONE as a whole has kinda lost the meaning of the word, as Kyosuke mentioned it did start out as fan made project of existing properties but quickly expanded into original IPs as well. However nowadays everyone tacks the word "doujin" onto anything that isn't made by a "big" company (ie. Square Enix, Konami, Capcom, Atlus, etc.) I feel that the true purpose of a doujin title is to make a game rather than a profit, I don't think commercial titles need to be labeled with the term. I view Vanguard Princess as a doujin title, however I haven't viewed Melty Blood as once since the original Act Cadenza. Is that to say I only believe free games to be doujin? No, it's perfectly fine to sell them at conventions and through your website, however when it's be sold to a mass market, especially on consumer products (ie. arcade cabinets, consoles), can it really be considered "indie" anymore? At such point I belive it's no longer a "group" and instead evolves into a small company. This is just an generalization of how I view the "doujin" society since the turn of the 2000s. Also I find your 2nd statement to ring false as well, just about every license had a fighting game made for it back in the day, I feel there has been a severe down spike though recently, with most devs opting for making a visual novel instead. I do however feel that the quality of such fighters has seen a moderate boost.
  24. I think people need to reevaluate what the word "doujin" means, also games based off anime/manga series are nothing new, if you get the license you are either going to make 1 of 2 game; visual novel, fighter. And that Index game is nothing serious (although it might see itself getting a small following simply due to IP it's tied to)
