Starting practicing confirming 2D > 22K. 2D is a good poke, and Jam with a card (and/or 25%) is scary. Always assume 2S is going to CH and react when it doesn't. 2S is +0. 236SS is +1 and 236SH is +4 (while the cross-up version is +1). 236SD is +1. 6H is +5. 5K is +1. I guess you can practice parrying too. Practice parrying a meaty mid/high like Slayer 6K or may 5K then punish with cS > ground loop. Also practice parrying obvious jump-ins like Slayer jH and go into either cS or 5P > aircombo (or wall loop if you're close to the corner). I still don't think this is enough day 1 stuff, and I'm not gonna explain most of it here since Amadeous did a good job on the wiki, but you gotta adjust your wall loops. It depends on character weight, starter, and sometimes hitbox (mainly Sol and HoS). Just practice starting the wall loop from different points on the screen and it'll start to make sense.

So far it looks like BB and GG will both be run Saturday, starting at 12PM. There will be pool assignments with start times. Skullgirls will be starting at about 4PM Saturday. If there are more entrants than anticipated then it will be starting earlier. Again, there will be pool assignments and start times. All other anime games will be run on Sunday: MB/Arcana/FUC/VSav/etc...

We're all pretty godlike in Jersey, except for Andy. He just wants to tie you up in his basement and fuck your brains out... not necessarily in that order. To each his own though.

That's great. Don't bring your TV, but the PS3 + BBEX (and Skullgirls if you have it) would be appreciated. Be sure to bring an HDMI cable as well.

That's fine but I will be checking out Sunday afternoon. I'll probably be able to pick you up from the airport that Friday but I won't be able to drop you off Monday, not to mention you'll have to find a place to stay Sunday night.

Iora, if you could room with the other Jersey guys that would be great because it would free it up for other people who don't have a choice of who they could stay with. Andrew and SKD, talk to Biscuits if you haven't already. If there's a NY room you gotta go there first! Mike, I might be down for buttons but I'm not sure yet. I might be going to the shore that day. Also, it's cool for you to stay in my room. I think that about fills it up: Myself, Andy + 1, Dacid(?), Lich, and Mike. If Dacid found another room to stay in then I'll have space for one more.

Heidern, you know tournaments have fucked with you when the first thing you ask is: "do you guys needs help running anything?" You're in our territory now! You just sit back and have fun! It was nice seeing you though. Next tournament I'll pull myself away from the stream a little more so we can get a chance to play.
