you seem to have a skewed perspective on things, blade. motives are one thing, the methods used to attain goals is another. Justice was a villain because leveling whole countries and killing millions is not a good way to get one's point across. I-no is a villain because her zeal for following That Man inflicts needless suffering on others. That Man, well he's more a gray area just because of the mystery surrounding him. The Bureau seem rather nefarious too what with their ordering the death of a child just to get to Faust for example.

that's not a theory. ALL GEARS born/created after Justice are based on her as she was the original complete Gear, that's why she can control them. Not a literal offspring, of course, so yes all Gears (except for Sol) do have a connection to her.

as to what GG2 says, it said that the Maiden of the Grove is ALMOST like Justice. As for all theories involving Sin's mom, all the possibilities that remain for her identity are: being Dizzy or Justice had ANOTHER daughter whom we never heard about ever until now . . . ever.

yeah that picture was posted a while back (here and here) when the artbook originally came out. still waiting on a translation though. if you could, there any new or interesting arts you see in there? anything relating to That Man or even Aria would be nice. also a bigger version of Dr. P's story picture would be nice too.

lol ok here's some real questions: 1. What's the personalities like for Dr. Paradigm's fairy helpers? Same question for Aria from that artbook story. 2. Sol mentions that mainstream backyard-based magic is different from alchemy, which gets its powers from existing numbers. So does that mean that Aba, who was created from alchemy as a homunculus, operates or even exists differently from other magical creatures like Gears? 3. Since they say that the Backyard can warp the reality of present world, it stands to reason That Man could just prevent the merciless apocalypse with his mastery of that realm . . . unless that disaster is CAUSED by the misuse/overuse of the backyard. That makes more sense, doesn't it? 4. There any backstory for the various servants like the Gears or the Illyrian Knights?

only reference in game i really recall is when That Man refers to her as a "Child of Light and Darkness" then again that could just be speaking for the dual nature of her wings too, or the contrast of her fearful powers and kind manner anyway, if i were to pair Sin up with someone, i was just thinking of May for some reason. I keep thinking she'd grow out of her childish crush on Johnny . . .

for all the faults Soul Calibur 4 has, being ugly sure isn't one of them I'd play it. Ky's wife will show up in the first five minutes are start kicking ass right away. And that's just the tutorial! it says NONSUGAR, like everything else Valentine has I'm gonna guess that beyond gears, Justice probably had access to some sort of mind controlling powers. (Even ROBO-KY could do that after all) Or just could control low level magical creatures. But I'd also assume that this control isn't total or complete. As Dr. Paradigm could dispel such a control and I doubt the same could be said of Justice's powers over gears. Well, Gears are essentially manufactured magical creatures after all.

i got a hypothesis about that. Now with dates! DISCLAIMER: THIS IS IN NO WAY PROVEN CORRECT OR EVEN VERY COHERENT. BUT IT WOULD BE NIFTY EH? so basically it goes like this: -2016- - The Gear Project is doing well as it shows great signs of promise and progress. Dr. Frederick decides to take his lady friend, Aria, out on a date. And, well, Fred impregnates Aria. (of course no one knows this because she doesn't show any obvious signs.) - Some time after that, Fred gets turned into a gear against his will and he goes berserk and accidently critically injures Aria. He runs off into the night regretting the monster he's become. - That Man picks Aria up and sticks her in stasis under the belief that she can healed once magical medical science will allow so. This disaster gets the original Gear Project shut down. Frederick creates his headband, the Gear Cell Control Device, in order to stay human. -2073- - Many years pass and when the Gear Project is restarted, That Man offers her up as his ideal true first gear, which will happen to save to her life too. - The process saves her, but not without unintended side effects on her and her unborn child (whom no one still knows about). Her mind is fractured and her memories of the past are totally lost. Also the pregnancy is totally suspended to a fraction of its normal speed. - She is put on the front lines of a war between gears involving certain nations and she is disgusted with how humans are throwing Gears away as mere playthings in their wargames. Man has forgotten that war is a horrible thing. That Man had wanted to control her for his own means but she decides otherwise. -2074- - She takes control of all gears and declares a true war on mankind. And to further drive forward the righteousness of her cause, she takes up the name "JUSTICE." - Justice and her armies rampage across the world, destroy whole sections of the Asian continent (including Japan), they are opposed only by the formation of the The Sacred Order of Holy Knights. The Crusades are here. -2172- - Frederick returns to the stage of the world under the alias of Sol Badguy. He is recruited by Kliff into the Order after having saved the old man many years before when he was just a boy (in 2099). - When encountering Justice, Sol’s own suspicions of who Justice is are confirmed somehow. - He grabs the Fireseal from the Order (which he made years ago as an anti-gear weapon), knowing its only right that he must be the one to put an end to her rampage. -2175- - When he finally stops her, he cannot bring himself to killing her, but weakens her so much so that Ky can seal Justice away in the dimensional prison so she can rest in peace. The Holy Order is disbanded. -2178- - As Justice slept inside the prison, she finally gives birth to her & Fred's daughter, now not quite a gear or a human but something in between. She is automatically expelled from the prison as it is not meant for her to be there. She is picked up by an old couple and is raised by them. Her name is Dizzy. -2180- - Meanwhile, as Justice sleeps, she calls out to Testament to free her and he does so. But Sol, recognizing his own weakness from before, finishes the job and kills Justice. As she lay dying, she finally remembers who she was and let’s out a final weak laugh before dying. Sol prays for her soul and promises to finally find and destroy That Man and all gears. -2181- - Sol finds Dizzy a year later and figures out who she is, and thus he cannot bring himself to kill her. She was innocent in that whole matter. Ky also finds Dizzy comes to a similar conclusion. He resolves to hide her away from the world and fakes her death, causing an elaborate cover-up and dropping her off with figures outside the normal realm of law & order, The Jellyfish Pirates (Though apparently Zepp is in on this too). And even though the Post-War Admin Bureau has reports of her as dead they, like a certain Gear intellectual, find this whole thing very suspicious, but to the whole world, a crisis was averted and the matter was promptly closed.
