got my copy. its delightful. i wasn't really sure about the voices at first, but dub izuna is really funny at times. also reading that "Lore" section is nice too. also noticed a mention of Testament in the entry for Justice. (for his blood sacrifice in GG1) at first i was kinda worried about hearing in this thread that the announcer was redubbed, but hearing it and i think its Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (as in "The Major" from GitS) . . . well played Aksys. YOU WIN THIS ROUND. also i never realized how much magical theory they throw around in this game. this stuff is heavy. but sadly, i just realized that i didn't get any sort of card or something for my DLC sol costume bonus for preordering at gamestop . . . :/ so here's my review: "GG2: ITS BETTER THAN ISUKA!"

funny you should mention those two. as i recall, potemkin is a modified human created as slave soldier for Zepp using their technologies as for May, i think the drama CD says she was involved in that orphanage/secret lab as one of those kids before millia trashed the place and then johnny picked her up.

well other than Gears, we also have magical/mythical creatures. I think such a catch all category would cover folks like Izuna and Slayer. Maybe S-ko too. But the most obvious example I would pose as "More Than Human" would be Faust.

Meta is sometimes used to refer Metafiction or Metagaming. basically it refers to how works of fiction are connected to the real world and how such connections affect that fictional realm. not to be confused with Metaknight, who is apparently top tier in Brawl. or so i've been told.

i'd say translations of later game material take precedence over older games also the Bureau report is made within the context of being written in the universe by some character (named or otherwise), and is thus fallible. but since the storyline bits exist as merely press material for the game, they exist outside such a realm. I think things just got a bit meta.

going by that info that said ky's wife is 8 years old, it also said that she is quite well educated. so i decided to look back at the AC website and noticed this for Diz so if this works out, she's probably one smart little cookie. funnily enough, as the 50 Questions points out, Dr. P having the ability to learn may just be a fluke in his case.

well if diz is a half gear because that's what her GGX backstory tells us, but she's still a gear basically because diz's mom is a gear, she's a gear. and if sin's mom is a gear, he's a gear. i don't think fractions or percentages really account for MAGICAL SCIENCE

she'd end up looking like some kinda hair beast. though if she were possessed, wouldn't she be dead by GG2? but this speculation is more for the stories thread now i kinda wish this were the US cover (found at the official web site)

well, to sum it up, darago, i think Sin passes himself off as human rather well. he's got no wings or tails or even a creepy distorted voice, so maybe he is only a quarter. and he isn't wearing a limiter like sol (one could suggest that his eyepatch may be one, but since he's been wearing different ones all through his short life, i'd doubt that.) also MAGICAL SCIENCE

i guessed at something like this months ago. totally reeks of the Bureau dropping a "desk job" on him so he can't travel the world and wreck their plans and also keep an eye on him OH REALLY NOW

as for actual game related stuff: i heard arc sys is bringing GG2 back to the TGS next week, so i hope they got some big DLC thing ready to be announced. why else would they bring back a year old game? maybe some new levels? i liked to see something more open with big wide fields or something. maybe the game would play more like an RTS if its less confined like most of the other stages

Kuro Ky = crummy = no thanks. Robo-Ky can be helpful but only if his primary motivation is self interest. Like, say, to prevent himself getting scrapped by the Bureau. Or helping out Millia because she's hot seems viable in Robo's case. He's always proposing to ladies after all.

c'mon lou, if you look at those sketches of ky's partially dissolved wife, you'll see she has a partially dissolved tail too so follow your DREAMZ, and if you're wrong, we still don't mind . . . as long as your fic isn't crummy.

if what i heard about ac+ is true, testament has a bit of a falling out with diz because she sides with humans. though that is just one story mode path. as for ky, testy is a jerk to most everyone. and for jam, well she'll probably move on. to bridget. hey who's that faust guy again?
