Well this is super unexpected. I sorta hoped this would lead to more Arc games on PC in the near future but . . . this doesn't sound very encouraging. :/

At the very least, I expect a cameo by Kagura.

I'm kinda sad that all of Mu's fighting was off screen. And I wonder: is Makoto still falling?

The content of the episode was pretty good. The animation was . . . well, I'm really hoping all the budget that wasn't used today is going into Ragna's fights with Terumi and Mu.

At least its consistent with the games.

I wish there was more Hakumen too. We didn't even get a scene with Tsubaki being a total fan girl for him. That's Ragna for ya.

Its like his jumping animation in reverse but going upwards . . . whoaaaa.

Its mostly character stuff with Lambda and some other side interactions with Noel & Makoto and Kokonoe yelling at her computer, but also:

I thought this was neat to include the Lambda's CS gag story and its a pretty smart way to keep animation costs low with just keeping it to mostly talking. Also Kokonoe was pretty funny.

Hrmm. A possessed character stuck to a bed? I wouldn't be surprised if Daisuke pulled out a classic reference to something like The Exorcist like that.

Surprised that its back to Zato. I sorta through thought it'd always be "Eddie." As for the mystery character: the strange shape seems like you can kinda figure it out, but then you just feel really puzzled. I'm gonna guess its

back in CT, arakune's relevance was based in that he was pretty much used a plot device to hint at all the mysterious weirdness hidden in the background (the time loops, observers, takamagahara etc.) now that most of those mysteries have been dispelled, he's just sorta . . . there.

I don't expect to see Tsubaki BEING Izayoi in this adaptation since that's a part of Chrono Phantasma But the anime has shown it likes to do things way out of order, so I assume its plausible that it could show up when she gets the black uniform when fighting Jin. At this rate, I expect Arakune to be already captured by Relius to be used to get at Litchi.

They certainly are rewriting the story with an emphasis on "Things are different if we knew then what we know now." Phantom and Trinity showing up super early is an example. Best new comic idea or BESTEST new comic idea?

if i had to guess, to make her sacrifice at the end have a bigger impact? and maybe they'll include her adventure with the bug.

I think seeing the Izayoi hat looking around at stuff independently of Tsubaki is strangely hilarious. Truly, the hat is the best character in all of BB. Next Week: LAMBCHOPS!

Man, I had expected Kagura to be the most swag of all the duodecim.

Some of Bang's expressions were certainly . . . enthusiastic.

I'd think that's the main hinge of this theory. Its pretty much based on a few conversations between Sol, That Man and Justice: First there's the GG2 side story of That Man recalling the The Gear Project and having a conversation with Fred & Aria about evolution and missing links. At the end of the Crusades, That Man feels the remorse of him condemning Justice to a terrible fate. (GGXX Justice story mode) After being struck down, a dying Justice regains her memories about the old days of the Gear Project. (GG1 Sol Ending / AC+ Justice Story Mode) That Man speaks to Sol about how they're both responsible for Aria's death. (GG2 ending) then there's some side evidence about how both Valentine (Aria's copy) and Justice have access to very powerful mind control abilities and can induce strange painful headaches in Gears like Sol and Dizzy.

I felt the hot springs detour was very much in the same style of Ragna's usual gag story routes where he's surrounded by crazy females and he just wants to escape. Sure, there's no love powered glasses, but its pretty much a situation that fits with how things tend to end up with Ragna. I figure things will get back on track now that Lambda & Tager are on the scene. I'm more interested in seeing if there are more "out of order" cameos like Trinity and Phantom showing up super early. I wouldn't be surprised if Kagura or Homura have a scene in Bang's Tenjo flashback.

McConnohie is already in GG2 as Dr. Paradigm. He's one of the best voices in that too. And I figure its not a long shot he'd be in Xrd since he's mentioned in that translated prologue story as still being on good terms with Ky as well as trying to unseal Dizzy.

I rather like her Kokonoe's intros. They're really fun. The one vs. Azrael is super over the top.

It is pretty funny since that makes Noel more of a magical girl than Plat now. and we all know she's gonna get her end of the season power up in the last episode! Sailor Mu!

I think Trinity showing up so early was to establish that all Six Heroes have been on shown, in one form or another. Also the flashback of Rachel giving Ragna his arm was neat, but isn't it a bit weird they used the character selection music for that scene? why do i think a .gif of platinum smacking her head on a table repeatedly will get so much mileage? (it would be a good way to describe some of Arc's more questionable decisions)
