honestly, with how its fairly obvious that noel is getting all the animation budget (see bolverk summoning sequence), i'd bet that its the fight with Mu that will be AMAZING i expect lasers everywhere

About episode 4 suddenly getting good, I figured its because they really REALLY wanted to get CT out of the way. CS is more interesting anyway since Terumi is now running at max troll power at this time i wonder, if Alter Memory does well can we expect a season 2 to that covers chronophantasma? kagura's antics are just begging to be animated.

Would it be too much to expect a dub with the the game's english VAs? I know Patrick Seitz and Laura Bailey work with Funi a lot, so at least Ragna & Platinum are set.

we knew there was gonna be some short summaries of things that are much more elaborate in the games, but I think they got everything to kick off the anime proper - Noel's hilariously bad poetry - Rachel being cryptic - Kokonoe is being a bit of a bitch - Jin wanting his BROTHEEEEERRRR~! - Terumi making a speech about DESPAIR - Ragna is surrounded by crazy girls and wondering how the hell he got into that situation. surprises: - Lambda showing up before Tager? - Random Phantom! - A good new opening

Question: I was under the impression that Noel got out with only some minor damage but Jin ended getting totally messed up by Beast Mode Ragna. So Jin's in the hospital with Celica looking after him and Tsubaki is pretty pissed off at Ragna and then Rachel shows up and drops the whole "If Jin can't stop Ragna, you gotta take me out" stinger at the end of the story. Is that about right?

isn't light tsubaki just a color swap? as for lambda, how's that for speculations?

I hope SD pieces together an opening from the various console animated openings with the subtitle "THIS IS BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL INTRO"

Noel, you aren't a very good magical girl yet. Maybe she can get some lessons from Plat. Also, whenever I see Kagura, i keep thinking of him saying Zapp lines from Futurama.

Terumi troll faces are the best reason to watch Alter Memory. And don't take this the wrong way, but they are ALL AMAZING. So we can expect Tager digging Lambchops up next episode?

With Mu, wouldn't it be qualify as both? Also, a certain anime this season involving sailor uniform battle suits (you know the one i mean) makes me realize that Mori was way ahead of the curve with Mu's outfit. And that Noel needs to be way WAY WAAAAAY more hot blooded.

That episode title list makes it seem like Mu is the last boss. So, of course, her already silly outfit will probably seem even more ridiculous when portrayed in a dramatic situation. This really sums up BB: Ragna NEVER catches a break. And all his best friends are cats. Well Cammy is top tier in AE, just like Nu is in CT. It all makes sense!

random thoughts: some animation was good, some was super weird and totally off. and is hakumen gonna have to choke a ragna?! well it looks like we totally blasted through CT and the rest of the show is CS? i totally forgot Kokonoe bailed out Ragna from his fight with Unlimited Hakumen. I also was very surprised about how Noel was totally like "Yeah I'm No. 12." I half expected some stein combos even though its way too early for that.

so it seems pretty likely we'll hit the end of CS and the anime would end with everyone leaving for Ikaruga?

I'd say it was "nice". Not super groundbreaking, but covered all the introductory bases of the BB universe (Ragna is a good guy who's best friend is a cat, Hazama is a huge troll, Jin luvs Ragna, the orphans' sad backstory, OMG HAKUMEN WHY DID THE EPISODE HAVE TO END THERE?!, mentioning Saya, Noel being a bit of doormat, etc) of course things will get even more overstuffed with information overload once they introduce Sector Seven and then there's the whole Clover family story too. And the Six Heroes. And the Duodecim. Also Time Loops! So I expect anyone who didn't play the CT & CS to be super confused by all this.

i think that only for the opening. also i think the opening was just reused footage from the whole episode.

I thought it was Noel unconsciously remembering a previous time loop. But, eh, she's the Successor of the Azure or something. Who the heck knows how THAT works?

managed to watch the funi archive: - Starts off with Nu being Nu and giving Ragna her love. Pointy Love. - And there's Hazama being totally obviously evil. At least CT tried to make him only kinda suspicious until when things got crazy at the end section. - Rachel gonna Rachel. - TAO. Also they didn't go with a "not paying for lunch" joke? Also its not obvious in gameplay but not seeing her face is really weird when animated like this. - Jin gonna drive his ice car to see Ragna. Beep beep. - Random Jubei. Too bad about not being playable yet, eh? - Jin gets a Hell's Fang to the face. - Hey, Noel stop being boring. Its gonna be a long wait until Mu shows up. I like Mu. - THE HAKUMENS.

Now that the BB anime is starting to air, i hope SD can get some use out it for more hilarity.

I'm sure ideas will plentiful once chronophantasma and the new sprites for it get released. And once all the unreal models from Xrd are extracted, you can make Holy Zen in Gmod or something.
