Ok, now that I have gotten a good amount of practice, I’m starting to be able to "react" to things instead of just following a linear scope of things. I have decided to go with the brawler build on most characters (charge build for Zappa). I get most of my dmg from D. Loop, Fafnir and 2D tricks. CCing is a pivotal point of my attacks and I’m working on getin better at it. I’m having a hard time on a few things: HJI conecting the 2nd j.hs or j.D, what to do after 2d -> RI, how to connect after RI lvl 2 and Impossable dust, and geting more use out of 6K. 1: I can pull off everything on the HJI untill I get in the air. (Do something into 5s©) -> JC->5HS->HJ->j.S->j.HS->j.D By then im too far away to do anything, even a PBR. And I can't get it to connect even if I try a j.S->j.K The kick miss'... 2: After I do a 2D->RI I usually wait until they tech or something and try to throw a 5HS in their face and do something after it, but it doesn't work all the time and I was wondering what other people do in this situation. I do this often because I’m usually too far out to CC into a 5K. 3: People tech out of lvl 2RI before I can do stuff 4: After 6K on oki I do a BHB or a 2D, what do other people do? Also, to rush in I usually do 66->2D->tricks and/or jump and do a ton of punches. I’m tryin to work my self out of this because its predictable and I do it with out thinking. Forcing my self to lead in with 5k is nice but I do a 6k more often than not and quite irritating. From watching all the combo videos, people who use brawler builds almost never do the same lead in attack string 2 times in the same match.. @.@ Hard to mimic. Any tips? Im mostly intrested in wat other people do.

Are you refering to after they do j.HS -> j.D -> dj.HS -> j.D and then do a HJ? If you mean that, you have to "catch" them with a j.S as soon as you HJ, it sets you up to do a nother j.HS -> j.D.

Vid plx? I can't get it and the computer always tech's out on the Venom one.. And when you practice dust loops, do you have the comp on full recovery front?

Ah ha, I got you. So learning when he trys to combo into or randomly throws out the DP and then punishin... It almost sounds like the mark of a failed match or a bad player is leting Roah out $p

Im just sayin, play it safe all you want to, but that one chance he gets in - might be 80% of your life xD. I donno how solid that strat is when you mix in the ghosts and sword and dog..

Man, not getin hit by somethin that has nuts properties is kinda hard, I tried zoning him and it was hard cause he only needs to get in once to trip centiped and Roah that face. I second the ABA thread, cause she can tank hits and hit you for days.

Yep, and if he gets you in the corner he can float the 2 hit hado and so some other meanness. And I don't think he needs 50% tension to 4x demi-god uppercut you to the edge?

Pff thats not a weakness, its a trade in. Traded useless mixups for somethin that even on block makes you go... Sssssssss..... ahhhhhhhhh.... Would one agree that a point of the sword is that it keeps HOS away from zappa? Also, I have noticed that in the block string pressure w/ the dog in teh corner, theres a small windo while blocking to kick the hell outa that mut, on the 3rd time the dog gets rdy to lunge his head out, the zappa player is too far out to stop you from kickin that dirty thing and you can get right back into blockin the next stuff comming.

Yah, he slaped me into the corner and did that thing 2 times and got instant uppercuts of pain and desolation. Also to be noted that its so hard to hit him. After like 5 matches I decided to try and zone him, but the 5S went right over his head, and when I tried to hit him he'd rush in and do the centipedes and have some kinda invincibility. The dog lockes you in the corner, the sword attacks from sooooooo far away, but I have noticed that you can just RI in most of the stuff or go in low (2D); the ghosts, I donno what they do he didn't use them much but when he did I got hit for no reason, didn't even see golf balls. Also to be noted, the dogs bite is unblockable if hes in the corner same as you thats messed up. And that stuff that comes outa his back can still hurt you even after it hit the ground, which stops so much pressure.. I dono much about that glowing armor thing, I always evaporated when it came out. Went from 60% hp to 0 in 4 moves, all in the same combo. Also the sword gets orbs lie nobodys business.

The Dogs and the swords and the orbs and the big glowing bigness of death and dismay!?! What to do >.>? I also noticed a lot of my attacks just didn't land. Crazy inv. frames or something..

Dmg ranges on combos would be nice too if its not too much trouble. And also attach HOS' current ranking in the tier list so we can see what where workin with befor we start learning stuff, nahmean? :grin:

hahaha sounds like you hate her. Yah I must use it at the wrong time or something, I try to use it to stop her scootin around befor she majixly gets behind me. 2S works beautifully on her.

wait wait so.. You BHB->CC->6(not holding)->FRC->6(hold)? So you hit forward while hes getin in the stance befor the flashy business? Is it the same for dashing Fafnir? 6->faf->6(hold)?

Yah lars, they been arguin for the past 2 days.. HOS plays differently than most AC characters from what I have noticed. HOS vs. Slayer = mortal combat vs. Street fighter 1 (Yes, SF1, the supremely omega broken tornado kick that takes 80% of your life).

Yah I know about thoes, haven't goten around to tryin them yet. Do you know exactly when HOS is able to FRC or RC? I can't get BRP to FRC for nothing. A friend told me to just hit the button when he yells "Bandit!", that don't work for me just yet $p. The only one I can get half the time is the AC FRC, and after that, do you 66 as soon as you hit the FRC button or do you wait a length of time..?

Yah good point. I have 5 Oki's: 2HS, 2D, 5D, 2D->BRP, and GB. I very rarely jump beacuse of the DP's.. I'll try to CC everything, but CC'ing 5S' is so fast, takes some geting used to. Do you CC your AA 5HS and IAD->j.k->j.s->SV all the time? You could get a whole level or push damage, AC'ing after the SV some times isn't so safe.

See thats the thing, im kinda bad at high to low, so I just do 2D->BRP, I havent figured out how to put the 2HS or D into something good. D just takes too long and if I do get it out I never learned, a dust combo yet. $p Only time I press that vile button is to charge, faf or in the air. Mater of fact the only time my 5D ever lands is if I accidently land from a dust loop and end up doing a j.HS->5D and boot the mess outa them in the air. People just look at me lie.... your a dick.. >.>

@Akira & Titanium Beast: When you BHB lvl3 on block to someone and run in to grab, is it just me or does it not work (66->fd->6HS[Grab])? It seems to only work if they stoped blocking to try and do something (which apparently has been almost 100% of my block string grabs).. BTW, 6P is ST00PID in the corner, lots of dmg.

I have noticed that Slayer uses that warp cancle crap and just dodges everything for free. But I have also noticed that slayer eats a LOT of RI and GB. You just gota be patent, and with HOS that is hard.
