  1. 400 point dlc side campaign, but whatever. still a sick ass game and grev > cave real talk (coming from someone that just ordered espganoodle 2 )
  2. nope, too busy playing strania (an actually good game) to care about yet another shitty hori from cave.
  3. in the case of cs2 hakumen though, he actually has some neat combos. i never thought i'd say that about any character in bb, but there you go.
  4. i'll play just about damn anything as long as it's somewhat entertaining. even, perhaps ESPECIALLY, bad games. i mean, you don't really think i LIKE games like mark of the wolves, do you? i just like seeing people get trolled by unblockables so hard that they refuse to get up at all, and anti air 5A's confirmed into 60% damage supers, and 720 punishes whiffing because of a throw invul glitch. and mudman. stuff like that.
  5. cs2 hakumen is kinda neat. i'll mash this game a bit, i guess.
  6. what? this guy owns and i can tell just from his posting gimmick.
  7. are you SURE it wasn't xi? because svgl used to have that.
  8. it's a matter of where the interest is coming from. there is more interest in bb both in norcal and the us, but most of the people who want to play it are going to be doing so on consoles. and, in due time, that will be the case for ae and xiii as well. honestly, given that cs2 came out on consoles first and wasn't even playable outside of japan for how many months after it's arcade release, what reason is there to play it in the arcade out here? especially in norcal where there's monthly console tournaments for it anyways. my point is this: a cs2 cab in norcal isn't going to see much love. from my observations, the bb scene in norcal is more than content to play strictly on console and at console tournaments (which is not a bad thing at all). that cab has been collecting dust for a year now? and there's a new game that there is vocal interest in that simply isn't being given a chance. granted, if they don't feel it's a good decision business wise, then there isn't much that can be done about it; but i don't think they plan on keeping bb for much longer, either. we'll see though. maybe they'll just turn it into a marvel 3/mk9 cab and troll us all.
  9. it's not really a matter of not having players, it's more a matter of a lack of leadership and some other stuff i'm still not entirely filled in on. besides, we have the best kof scene in the country just next door in socal, and a few of those guys are moving up here soon. if there's a time to start playing this game, it's now. point is, people want to play xiii in norcal and right now there's no way to unless you live in sf. just one cab in the south bay (even mgl) would be nice. when it comes to local arcades, we should be focusing first and foremost on local scenes. the whole point of an arcade is to be a place for people to meet up and play without much/any prior notice, but they have to have the games people here play in order for it to be successful. and really, when was the last time anyone went to svgl to play bb? nci killed svgl (though for the better, i think) and i don't think many people here will object to that. i mean, unless you guys ARE playing bb there still (on the same basis people played during ct/early cs) and i'm entirely wrong, i don't see why they should keep it; especially when there's another game that so few people have played (but a good amount of people want to play) just waiting to be tapped into.
  10. in all seriousness, think about how many people would actually play cs2 arcade (consistently) now that we have it on console. you may be able to get a lot of people around on wednesdays and sometimes friday/saturday- but really, i don't see much of anyone playing bb at svgl. i didn't see much of anyone playing bb there a year ago, even. xiii is a better choice simply because there's more interest in the game right now and there's no console release to compete with until at least the end of summer. there's even some insiders within the capcom illuminati who would like to see the game get some exposure (wiz apparently pushed for it to be at evo but since there's no console release it was a no go). shoutouts to danny aka marn 2.0 who is most certainly reading this in a desperate attempt to get dirt on me.
  11. in that case they shouldn't because that game sucks also it would be killer if i could spit on a xiii cab from my house
  12. throw ranges are measured in pixels (px). he probably just didn't know what 90 and 100 were referring to.
  13. now that cs2 is out on consoles and us arcades aren't getting it, i wonder what the likelihood of a xiii cab at svgl is now...
  14. norcal doesn't have two girls. norcal doesn't even have one girl.
  15. can we call ourselves the norcal speed stars pretty please
  16. when people like rod and aj are considered to be good at gg, i don't think anyone means anything more than "you know more than the rest of us" when they call you an expert.
  17. if namco can appease my appetite for counter hits and s tier cervantes, they have my money
  18. i have vsav for saturn, but i don't think anyone wants to play on saturn pads.
  19. i really don't see a problem with ratios. it's just there to promote roster diversity and from what i've heard, it's optional at most arcades.
