  1. are you kidding? this was easily one of the worst arguments we've ever had. if you faggots keep this up, i'm moving to socal.
  2. yo nameless, chill out dude... when you come down here we'll smoke a blunt, talk philosophy and maybe play gg fuck those shitty korean esports anyways that shit puts me to sleep and so does this discussion
  3. eh for what it's worth i played ct last year a lot more than gg, but mostly because the gg scene here was on a temporary hiatus. met some cool people, had some fun, learned a few things. like i said, it's who you play with- not necessarily the game you play- that matters.
  4. that's how arcadia (and by extention, sbo) have abbreviated character names for years now. it's a consistent rule that can work for every game. and that's the bottom line, cuz stone cold said so.
  5. serori was on point the whole tournament. iirc, he only lost once to a shun in quarter finals. i really liked gorgeous' team to win, but that nigga was still playing 5r.
  6. yesssss fixed my stick let's play cvs2 online
  7. i'll be able to bring setups and power strips if needed
  8. my stick is ACTUALLY getting fixed today im gonna bring galuda 2 and mash that kakusei
  9. also shut up you fucking women everyone sucks at this game goddamn
  10. scott i don't know about you but my standard of dead ass game is vf. people literally only play it online anymore, with not as much as a side tournament anywhere. gg is still at final round, seasons beatings, etc; this may be more regional than it used to be, but it's still something. if anything, ac online is going to help boost the majors that still host gg. it may never reach day 1 levels of interest again, but does it really need to? if you ask me, 3s is more dead than gg right now.
  11. sjsu gg/mb players: aj sean
  12. don't listen to that grumpy old man, we still play gg in the bay.
  13. i like killian over sirlin, that's for sure
  14. what you don't see is david sirlin playing him online, furious that he's losing.
  15. mileage may vary but like, my laptop's lcd is an lg, fred's setup is an lg, and just about every acceptable lcd i've played on has been an lg. but again, you have to be using analog to reduce input lag, as well as outputting at the monitor's native res, etc.
  16. okay so this game is a 3D fighter in which you fight on the backs of dragons. after spending a few minutes getting to know the game, this is what i've discovered: - there's two attack buttons, A and B. C is jump. - L/R are free dash, where you hold one of the two buttons and run around in an overhead view a la senko no ronde. - blocking is done by holding back. hilariously enough, this DOES allow for crossups. - every character has a fireball motion special for both A and B. - supers are done by pressing A+B. the number next to your life bar seems to be a stock of supers which seems to replenish by 2 between rounds. - the red meter below the life bars is called the D-Power meter, which dictates how much you can use special moves, free dash, and yes, how much you can block. - the D-Power meter regains as you get hit, and regains entirely if you get knocked down. - when knocked down, you cannot block. all specials done vs a knocked down opponent will aim down towards him. - there is some sort of quick getup, but i can't figure out for the life of me how it works. it's happened a few times when i've mashed as i'm falling, and it'll actually skip the whole dragon swooping down animation and just put you back on it. i'll update this post and maybe even get around to writing the first english faq for this game but in the meantime go try it and see how great it is for yourself. it runs very well in ssf which is the best sega saturn emulaotr by a longshot.
  17. practically anything lg asus/acer comes in a close second
