  1. fuck you guys for living in the city
  2. so guys, it's come to my attention that our streaming "schedule" was an absolute mess last time. i propose that we arrange a streaming schedule, right now, in this thread.
  3. i played gg on pad for a year; nothing, and i do mean NOTHING, is easier on pad. stick is absolutely superior to pad, end of discussion. i would get in to all of the reasons, but it becomes apparent as soon as you practice on one.
  4. hakumen's counters don't have to be buffered or option selected to be THAT good, either.
  5. nah, no way man. marvel stayed hype because it's one of the few games we're as good as/better than japan at (in marvel's case, it's definitely the latter). the shit talk came as a result of that, not viceversa.
  6. lol, we ain't nearly ballin enough to just have hookups. try srk
  7. mash j.K right after you frc. or, be hella baller and gold burst.
  8. ever wonder why even though hakumen rose to A tier, he received the same representation at sbo as he did in ct? simple; hakumen players don't fucking block anymore. even the good ones like A-92 and tenchi can be found mashing 2D/j.D when they SHOULD be blocking, and then they eat a counter hit cmndgrab from bang and then they die. the biggest reason (i think) this is is because j.D is actually good now; it's a shame so few people know how to use it correctly. well, what about ib'ing into a counter? that's good, right? actually, not so much anymore. it was a guessing game in ct, but at least it was in your favor. now though, other characters have much scarier frametraps and punishes than they used to (using the above example, eating a bang cmndgrab didn't used to be so bad! but now...), which makes even ib'ing into D not that good anymore.
  9. how much better does yukikaze really need to be? it was already easy as piss to land in ct, and then they buffed it by making it catch lows (which is dumb as hell, lol) and now you don't even get superflash until it's already connected? that's a free reversal unless they add some SERIOUS recovery to it (like three seconds or some shit). and combined with all of the other D nerfs, it just doesn't make much sense to randomly buff an already buffed counter. on the other hand, i like the D nerfs a lot, actually; maybe now hakumen players will learn to block mixups.
  10. if you guys want a taste of what easy frc's would be like, go play garou, lol.
  11. what's there to laugh at? guilty gives you tons of defensive options, and there's no vortex to speak of.
  12. it means that when you do yukikaze, there's no superflash until it's already landed. this is actually pretty fucking dumb, because now random yukikaze will be harder to punish.
  13. look at the date http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyPGqnlyazc
  14. marvel harder than guilty gear? perhaps in terms of execution (but even that's debatable). marvel mixups are hard to block because they're A) really damn fast and B) fucking random. it may be easier to block in guilty, but it's also harder to hit people.
  15. you, me, ernest, tone 2v2? lol or we just play st
  16. huh? ps1 port is ass. dreamcast port is like 99% perfect, the sprites are slightly taller (but that's due to overscan or lack thereof, not the game's fault really) and the timing on round start is always at turbo 1.
  17. i haven't been able to practice, big deal. your autopilot ass eddie would lose to my 2S/2HS johnny all day, bet it. also let's put in cvs2 as an actual tourney next month
  18. nah. i'm gonna be visiting family in december, but i'm sure i'll have plenty of free time. the only problem is that ufo doesn't have any games i play now; no gg, no vf, no cvs2. i guess i could play xiii for the first time and get mad at bbcs, but... oh, and this pituches guy played me on xbl a year ago. from the looks of things, he hasn't changed in the least.
  19. seeing as i'll be in town come december, i am sad to hear this.
  20. most of it's gonna cover mixup, poking and spacing. there'll be a bit of something for everyone, that's for sure. the only part i can't really do myself is optimal damage combos, since i haven't played this game in months and i go make a sandwich any time a combo starts in a matchvid.
