  1. so, if any of you want in on ggac netplay, just send me a pm even if your computer sucks you should give it a shot, since the emulator is pretty well optimized
  2. forget everything i said demul; if you use the opengl plugin it runs flawlessly. now to optimize this god awful kaillera garbage/get fios.
  3. don't count on it that would mean supporting an emulator other than finalburn alpha, and that would (presumably) require a hell of a lot of effort. unless there's enough demand for online marvel/cvs/gg, i would honestly rule it out entirely.
  4. gathering at jakes, i think i sure hope so cuz i really want my stick again
  5. for the record, entry was $8 if you pre-reged, $10 if you didn't (assuming of course it was your "primary game"). if it wasn't your "primary game", you paid $3 or $2. again, it's up to norcal; if you guys want to play socal more often, you gotta give them the incentive to come. if not, we can just do our own thing. i for one wouldn't mind keeping all entries at $8-10 to give out of towners more incentive to show up.
  6. ah, okay. i just figured it was a seimitsu stick because, well, the buttons were seimitsu too. i've actually been wondering if those ugly wood blocks on the VASHG actually add a significant amount of weight to the stick or not. if not, i'll probably get a VASHG lite and throw some lead weights in there.
  7. the only computer i have right now is my laptop, which has a 2.2ghz core 2 duo and a 512mb (well, 256+256 of system memory) nvidia quadro. demul itself runs the game decently. there's occasional framerate drops (seemingly random, as it'll sometimes happen even when nobody is doing anything). makaron is still a far superior emulator in regards to optimization and accuracy, but demul is where the netplay is at. i haven't been able to test netplay yet, but i only figured as much. fucking kaillera has always been terrible, lol.
  8. it really depends on the direction we want to take nci. do we want it be just another local monthly/bimonthly thing like it's always been, or something more akin to a regional/minor? hint: if you want more varied competition, choose the latter.
  9. 98 ultimate match. i'm thinking either that or 02 ultimate match until kof13 drops.
  10. VASHG, the steel VSHG replica with seimutsu everything and those tacky looking wooden things on the side. great stick.
  11. kof players: if we were to have a kof at nci, which one should it be? ideally something on ps2/ps3/360, and preferably the one that would yield the highest turnout.
  12. now i know this is gonna sound LAAAAME and people are gonna call me a weaboo or whatever but i think one of the main reasons AC wasn't as well received over here is because the game requires more patience than the previous games. like, the reason everyone does "so much damage" is because when people can block mixups for more than two seconds, you actually do have to work for your damage in this game. i can see why people would find this kind of system boring, but at the same time i find such a system to be incredibly rewarding, and i would imagine japan thinks similarly. so i don't really think it's a matter of "sacrificing" depth, rather reallocating it in an area where most people aren't going to be able to utilize it. in many ways this reminds me of the debate of vf4 vs vf5; western players see throwclash as a crutch for weak players, whereas japanese players see it as a good way to keep people moral and teach them to punish correctly.
  13. you don't happen to play bang/hakumen by chance do you
  14. thats alright it was terrible anyways

  15. pooper turbo
  16. but you know hyperfighting is a much better game because it doesnt have poopermeters
