  1. Zeta Zaku is pretty strong. Infinite ammo BR, and the AC is still hella good. His gameplan is basically passive spam while waiting for AC to reload, then go make a play with it. But his mobility is beyond terrible, holy jesus.
  2. [MEIJIN INTENSIFIES] This was a pretty easy loop. It uses the same quick drum beats both at the end of the track and at the end of the first part, so joining them together was a cinch. Added to OP.
  3. Hey guys. I've been making custom looped BGMs from popular Gundam series, and ITT I'm going to share some of my own work and maybe even take requests! I generally aim for around 5 minutes or so with my loops, enough to last you through an average netplay match or arcade mode stage (even with the timer turned up) without taking too much memory and causing lag. Stuff listed in order of creation, so newer stuff will be nearer the bottom. 0-RAISER (Gundam 00) Sakebi to Gekitetsu (Gundam SEED Destiny) - Loop is a little poor on this one (2:45), going to remake it at some point Final Attack[M-38] (Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz) Allied Force (Gundam Build Fighters) MAD-NUG (Gundam UC) Zaft Invades (Gundam SEED) Meijin ~Six Times The Passion Of Ordinary Flamenco~ (Gundam Build Fighters) AGE-1 Gransa (Gundam AGE)
  4. [Attack Modification] During permanent 00 Raiser, bc: 00 Gundam -> GN Sword II (Beam Saber) This translation is off (or just badly worded?). The perma-raiser BC is the same as trans-am raiser BC.
  5. I went ahead and put in a basic movelist as a starting point for whoever wants to take care of this thread.
  6. It's worth noting that no matter how much time you put into learning Epyon you will still struggle to get in and do damage against any good team.
  7. that makes you pretty bad for pressing it then badlord
  8. I've beaten out Nu side melee with zulu side melee in a direct clash before. Worth remembering for FFB scenarios. In most situations 2b is surprisingly fast for dealing with melee approaches but should only be considered a last ditch option when you have no ac and no meter. If you have half meter and no ac, I would rather burst and get ac back unless I was really low on hp than rely on 2b. One thing I've been trying to work on is bc for the beginning of the round. Since bc has a maximum distance, if you have good distance judgement and yomi you can throw down a bc right in front of the enemy front if they're boosting towards you in greenlock.
  9. Hey as per what I said on stream earlier, feel free to replace my GP03 thread as I don't have a desire to work on it/keep it updated after what they did to it in FB.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_TDade-hc1E#t=141 Some good, solid Ex-s play.
  11. Inits with beam MGs are the best at peeling off ABC cloaks. Obviously Jinx3 can't do it as well as GX but it's something you should probably try and aim for. Like Draxx said, just keep on angle and pelt him with MG and you can fuwa or 4/6bc if you see that CSa coming close.
  12. Luna also can't do force CSa to bc. What hurts her the most is the lower boost and shittier swiveling, imo. But IMO she's more reliant on AC cancels than Shinn, and by playing a lot of Luna and getting better with the AC cancels, I can take that back and also improve my play with Shinn, where I used to rely on force bc and CSa cancels way too much. I think Luna is way less capable of "gimmicking" people than Shinn and playing her will improve your Shinn play quite a bit. When a 3k is rushing you down, you'd be surprised how much AB 2AC will actually save you from many standard approaches (master's whip step melee, V2AB with point blank main etc). With Shinn I used to get too caught up with doing all his cancels and using too much boost, and although I'd have learned to play him properly eventually, I feel like playing lots of Luna and then taking that experience back to Shinn made me a much stronger player with both units. From the preview video I thought this suit would be way stronger than it is, I don't think it's necessarily "bad" but rather 2k cost is already full of dumb shit like Kshatriya and Zeong so it can't really threaten the top tier. I think Assault burst is core on Luna because the only thing that hasn't been nerfed from Shinn is the Sword mode. The boomerangs are absolutely fucking amazing in this cost tier and the melee priority will beat or trade with practically anything in the game. What I can't decide on is whether to burst twice or not, I kind of feel like you almost need to secure damage with 2 half-bursts in sword mode to keep up in the damage race, but positioning yourself and setting this up can be pretty difficult, especially against opponents that know you like to half-burst. I also kind of feel that due to her defensive strengths with bc runaway and ab, she doesn't really need a defensive full burst against all but the most aggressive 3ks (remove turn A from the game please) Another thing to note is that blast gerobi is still really strong for this cost tier, and I know other people like to use it a lot, but personally I think Luna is for close range support play and should retain Blast mode for ammo rotation with force BR. And even when doing that, NEVER leave yourself with 0 blast main ammo unless you feel very, very safe. Like I said earlier, AB 2AC is her core defensive tool and more than once I've tried to use it only to hear that dreaded empty click.
  13. It's also worth mentioning that while I stand by my earlier point on tiers, the tiers in FB are REALLY compressed. In most fighting game tierlists, generally everyone down to lower A/high B tier is considered competitively viable. This is a pretty far cry from games like kof or 3s where the tierlist goes down all the way to like E and F tier with completely unplayable garbage characters. So when you roll into a tournament with Gold Sumo, its kinda like picking Makoto in 3s. You're perfectly capable of winning everything, it's just going to take you a lot more effort and skill than it takes for the guy using chun.
  14. The S tier contains suits in pretty much every playstyle though. the 4 S tier 3ks cover a wide range of playstyles, you have Banshee for your aggressive yami uchi back play, kshatriya/zeong for players who like to play a passive back, delta plus for people who like a versatile suit. If someone can't do well with at least one of the S tiers then they have issues with their fundamentals. For context's sake, I main Impulse but I do switch it up to Banshee when I'm having a hard time and I DO notice an improvement in winrate, despite having less playtime with Banshee and not really enjoying its style of play as much. If I was going to a serious tournament for this game I would probably spend a month beforehand grinding Banshee. Although it looks like that Luna Impulse is gonna fly straight into the top tier so I might not have to.
  15. thats me The current tier list is directly derived from win rate though. Although I didn't know this until brett told me.
  16. Well, I'm talking about a scenario in a vacuum without any other factors. If you put 30 hours into learning Banshee vs 30 hours into learning Qubeley, the first version of you would have a much higher winrate. Obviously with 30 minutes of Banshee vs 30 hours of Qubeley, the story would be very different. But unless you have unlimited amounts of free time, if you care about winning more, you should pick a top tier. That's what tier lists indicate. A character being low tier could be interpreted in several different ways. Sometimes it means that a character is harder to use and sometimes it means a character simply doesn't have the necessary tools to compete. But universally it means that these characters win more, and by picking them and focusing on getting good with their toolset you increase your chance of winning to the maximum. I'm not telling anyone what they should play or that they should drop their current main or anything like that, but it's ultimately a cold hard fact that some characters are better than other characters in this game. You can choose to disregard that if you want but you can't dispute its legitimacy. At any rate, it's not something to stress about. All the S tiers and most of the A tiers have seen some success in competitive play and have been sighted in tournament finals in Japan, and the level of play outside Japan is so much lower that you can probably get away with anything.
  17. Pick whatever you want. But the tier list won't go away, it's an accurate reflection of how strong different units are at high level play. If you pick a top tier, you will win more. If you're not bothered about that, play what you want. In most VS games, the top tier is of less relevance compared to unit compatibility, but in this version almost all the S tier units are also extremely flexible and work well with many partners, so yeah. You can pick like delta plus and it'll work with essentially any 3k.
  18. Honestly the scene is so big now that we could hold seperate tournaments for USW+USE and USE+EU. I doubt brett feels like organising the latter though.
  19. Does psycho jammer disable NT-D for both Unicorn units?
  20. 2AB can be strong as an oki option if you are well-positioned. Drop it between you and them as they're waking up, and then move away AND to a side. If you get lucky they'll attempt to 4/6B you opposite the side you moved (this becomes easier to trick them into if there are buildings or other factors to help you make a read on how he will move when waking up. Sometimes you just get lucky. If you're in a situation where you KNOW the enemy is going to come at you, it's generally always your best option for sub. Once I dropped it randomly between 2 buildings when I saw deathscythe activate. He put on hyper jammer and flew right into it, i hit him with backshot main for the win.
  21. Ugh.. I really don't want to believe these are real but we're approaching the limits of plausible deniability here.
  22. csA is incredibly good with this bitch for fucking up those bads who like to "skirmish" at medium range with BR zundas. Just make sure to coordinate with your team mate so you don't keep blowing him up with them. Rig Contio is BC not BD btw, and it's best usage is for when you know you're gonna get landing punished, dropping it against an opponent closing in on you forces them to waste some more boost evading it and will fuck them up if they went for 0boost yolomelee. Although if you're sitting on it, a csB is an even funnier way to counter yolomelee.
  23. Scotland yeah.
  24. She sure boosted at 1k speed in the 98MS PV.
